Discontinued Thermovape Cera

ColoVaper

Science...Whoo!
I think I might have one of the last original Ti Cera's in the wild...but it's sad to say...it's time to get the strap welded. I've noticed production loss lately and I think it might be the culprit. I'm kinda scarred to send her in the mail. I hope her the best journey but I will see her soon when she returns a badass. :)

Now time to clean her up and send her off on her way.

Seriously, people corrected you on his name and your still calling him zippy? No wonder you didnt get any response

That will be enough of that.

Sounds to me like a few things could be causing your issue.

For one, i was getting inconsistent results similar to what you described. Especially with the depleted batteries. Turned out my LL was out of spec. First thing you should do is get a dmm (digital multimeter) (cheap sub $20 dollar one is fine and is a must for all cera owners imo). Check the core with a dmm, place one prong in the threads and the other on the end that comes in contact with battery, and it should read about 1.0 ohm give or take.

If thats not the issue than it seems to me like you may be packing it too tightly and not getting good airflow as a result which will lead to inconsistent results.

What does your abv look like after a session?
Had it checked and it was bang on 1 ohm. Seems any problems are down to user error !

Sorry @pakalolo you can delete my post if need be.

Could be also be the switch. Have you tried using tin foil in place of the switch?
It does work when it wants to ! A couple of nights ago I struggled to finish a bowl of hash, it just kept going and going and other times next to nothing with seemingly the same procedure. I think I`m starting to get caught in no-man`s land between the easy and more difficult technique. I don`t think the higher temperatures needed to vape hash helps with the test puff method or maybe I`m doing it wrong.

I agree, it sure doesn't make it easier. IMO the rapid onset of vapor with hash in the LL core also adds to the fun.

I think the best plan is to keep at it cowboy! Remount the horse, keep after it. Experiment with different techniques, repeat/modify the ones that give results you like......look to replace ones that don't.

I think Cera is a lot like some other TV products, it'll work OK lots of ways but it also really wants to teach you how to get the best out of it.....if only we'll pay attention?

Regards and best wishes. By all means enjoy the ride, it's why you bought the ticket, right?

I`m sure it will all click into place eventually, like learning to play an instrument. I do like the notion that cera LL is interactive and not an idiot proof device. Even though the learning curve can be frustrating at times it`s all the more rewarding when it finally comes together !

Amen. The journey is often more important than the destination.......

The user is definitely part of the process, there is (or at least IMO should be) great satisfaction in that. Well put. Being part of, rather than simply buying, 'bigger clouds' (especially when you can do it on purpose) is where it's at for me.

Thanks.

I'm curious if TET is still on track to ship Lunas this week. I'm pretty close to just buying one but I'd love to see some testimonials on it. Plus I already have two Ceras and I'm not sure I really need another EO cart. I'd love to be able to just get the Luna body without the extra cart.

How many hits can one get from 1 mL of CO2 oil? Thinking about buying the Luna.

How many drinks do you get from a fifth of Scotch?

The answer is, of course, 'it depends'. At one point there was a video of Noah vaping up a gram in something just over 30 hits. Amazing, IMO. That's over 30mg per.

I think a reasonable estimate might be closer to 10 or a little more per? So I'd predict most guys see 100 hits, give or take, per gram?

You want more, take smaller bites.

BTW, the 'official' answer to the 'fifth of Scotch' question is 18. That's the reason why there are 18 holes in golf (which means "Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden" BTW.....), that's the number of drinks in the bottle....played right. It seems it's assumed the Gentlemen will be doing a shot per hole?

Thanks. How much does it hold?

A brand new cartridge will hold about 0.4-0.7g. I would say 0.7 may be a little high but people have fit in more than that. The more you put in the easier it leaks and the more it can clog. 0.5 is a safe bet though. Hlaf of that 0.5 is a buffer and the rest is what you vape so you never want it to get empty but itll take quite a while before you need to reload.

So any word on the Mini yet, or an Alpha compatible adapter for the new carts? Feels like more than a year since those were talked about ... time to just get a Muad-Dib .. ?

I also would like the new switch

Line forms to the rear, guys. Remember the grand plan calls for update kits after Luna release. Also in there is the adapters for putting Cera carts on other stuff and a couple of other 'minor projects'. I don't know the exact order TV intends but I suspect that most/all will happen fairly quickly after Luna is out and stable.

The latest thinking seems to be very much 'one project at a time, get it right, move on'.

I hope to get that much awaited 'come get it' email from them most any time now. I'm sure they won't be at all shy with it when they have all the details worked out.

Lighting candles would be combustion, does that mean we shouldn't?

Does anyone know if I can use the new Liquid core for wax ? I sent an old liquid core to get rebuilt into a EO and they sent me a new liquid core instead
