how did you realize that? send it in or take it apart yourself?

or could you see or hear it rattle or something?

Also why would it crack? i didn't drop or bang it.

Edit: I took it outside and looked through the tube pointed into the sun for light. I don't see anything funny or a crack. course it could be real difficult to see. I did leave it off over night and still does it now.

Honestly, don't open up the EVO. That will void your warranty. Put in a support ticket, because your unit should not be doing that, and there is nothing you can do to fix it. (Unless you haven't unplugged and plugged it back then, then try that first). Then put in a support ticket.

...the more you check it out...the more you realize how "subjective" some of these reviews are...Some of the comments of these people are downright laughable...it's really "just like movies"..the idea that these folks are some kind of "vaporizer experts" is just a complete joke...yet more sharks to confuse a already gullible public...
???

Ok, there must be a link on the site. need one for the swagger also.

I noticed just by looking down inside the unit. I could see what looked like two straight lines on each side of the unit, a circle looking crack, and a minor chip. Honestly, if it wasn't for the chip I wouldn't have been sure it was the glass being broken. I confirmed my theory because I lightly ran a some paper along the glass to see if it would catch and rip and surely it did.

If the glass isn't broken, I'm not sure that the problem is man :/ Sorry you're experiencing this. Have you sent yours in before or would this be the first if you were to send it in?

When I first got my EVO, the air flow was tighter and I found I could combust at anything past 2. 12 was my spot on the vape for smaller pieces, 2 was my spot for super thick vape and filling large glass pieces. I would also occasionally combust.

After I sent it in, the airflow was substantially better and the temp control is much more precise and responsive I find, I can adjust it more based on how the weed is vaping rather than "oh shit last time I was at this temp I combusted." I've ran my unit up to almost 4 with no combustion. I go about 1 to 2 oclock now for my smaller pieces and 3-3:30 generally for my bigger ones. And again, haven't had a single combustion incident. The fix was a combination of improved airflow and updated firmware.

If you haven't sent it in yet and you're continuing to experience this, might be worth opening up a ticket for. Could be a firmware problem.

yes, really can't see anything on the glass. doesn't look cracked, but like you say, it was hard to see.

Something changed on a power cycle. It yomed out last night and I power cycled it to turn back on. Since then it has changed night and day. Normal before was 2 and dven at max it wouldn't combust at least the could time it was there by accident it didn't. Now anything above 0 combusts.

Maybe firmware is corrupted by an spike or something strange...

EDIT: OK ticket opened. You don’t know how much you depend on something until you lose it. Even at min its not going to work well. Thank god for buddy’s - ZC on the way tonight with the Cloud+ backup. I was happy with that too. I see a backup in my future if I want to stay a spoiled USA citizen.

The glass tube id good, I used a high power light and really looked at it from angles, a crack would pop. Its fine. I expect the firmware or a sensor changed its response so its all confused now. Electronics - things happen :)

Just purchased my EVO. Feels so good to type that sentence! Kept having nagging doubts about the cost, waiting to be sure that all the kinks were worked out, etc. but the lure of thick, evenly extracted, lung-filling vapor was too much. Plus I wanted to take advantage of that Swagger barrel deal before it went up $50.

Another thing that tipped me off the fence was chatting with Seibo and Bryan on the vapexhale website. They were quite helpful in answering my questions and gave me confidence that if I am unfortunate enough to have a problem down the road, I'll be taken care of.

According to what I was told, units are in stock currently so my order should ship out Monday. :rockon:Think I will order a Dead Foot Designs hydratube stand in the mean time.

I have owned the top three out of the four that they ranked,
and would go evo, ff, then pax at number three for sure.
Unlike some of you, I didn't love my pax.

ok, my glass is broken it seems. ZC came over and he can wiggle the bottom of the glass and it moves at the top, mine doesn't.
I tried the reset trick, but no change so mine is no more, time for a repair.

@t-dub thank for the info, I tried, but didn't help.

I forgot if you answered this or not, but if this is the first time you are sending it in, it isn't a bad thing. They put a way better glass heater in mine (like I said earlier, bigger airflow) and the updated firmware just made everything easier and less stressful.

I was confident I wouldn't combust on my unit previously even before the repair. But after the repair it almost feels like I HAVE to try and make it combust. Not combusting is now the easy thing to do and combusting is the challenge.

Didn't sound like you had that problem anyways, but just thought I'd state it again :). VapeXhale was super quick with my repair. Had it back to me within two weeks of me sending it to them and I'm all the way in Canada.

Here's @Buildozer going overboard as usual. :p

Recycler + Devastator = :ko:

:peace:

And like Jeeze man. Seems like you've been having some mad vapour scientist fun. That looks AWESOME. Wish I had that amount of glass.

This also makes me wonder how big the glass needs to be for the EVO not to milk it...I mean like fuck what you just did in that vid blew my mind.

I definitely get zero smell off the vents, even if the EVO has been on max for 30 minutes.
It's only when the EVO is inverted, like @Smoke1ForMe
Though Vapexhale also didn't think it was because of the gap in the body.
EDIT: actually the smell does come from the bamboo regardless of inversion

My EVOs been used daily for 1+ month and that smell hasn't really changed. I've tried ignoring it because it works so well.
I submitted my ticket and will probably end up sending it in.
Update on this...
Me and Smoke1 have been doing some testing & sharing observations,
and I, at least, am re-thinking the electronic smell issue.

The evidence is pointing more towards a [weird-smelling] baked-on vapor resin smell.
Not a toxic electronic fume.

I apologize to @stonemonkey55 for posing a negative hypothesis without sufficient sample data ;)

@Dr. Plutonious, good to here on the repair. 2 weeks seems reasonable. It is the glass so good to understand.

Now to ponder buying a backup... Was thinking about another HT, and you sure save some with the kit, basically gives you another unit for $300 more :)

Hey Stu, crazy ass hit! Just curious how the flavour was?
That was me taking that rip.. I want to say the flavor was really good, but all I remember is being punched in the face by that hit.. the rest is a little blurry :ko:.. That was a fresh ELB, so I'm sure the flavor was great.. can't say how great though :D

@Stu . . . clean that glass you filthy dog . . . :whip::science: Awesome vid @Buildozer you da man . . . :tup:
You da man

Wow, so using that setup will get you punched alot more than just using a single HT or WT? Reason I was asking about taste was due to all the diffusion.

Is it possible to request a video of the Barrel HT from VXL?

I think it was mostly the size of the hit that punched me in the face.. but the Devastator makes it easy to take big rips like that. I'm not really a flavor chaser, but I'm sure all that diffusion stripped it of some flavor.. I know that it always tastes really good to me, but I'im not very picky.
