If your bamboo is not broken the're no way you could smell electronics from there (unless you hit your EVO that is standing on a burning circuit board lol). Probably the holes in the top of the enclosure? And is that normal?

The only smell that comes from my bamboo is a sweet, warm, honey smell from the oil in there. Putting my nose down to the crumb shield yields more heat but no electronic odors.

Does anyone else's EVO give off a hot electronic smell from the top of the bamboo? I feel like sometimes I smell it more than others.
Does yours have a gap in where the two body pieces are connected?

Couldn't the electronic smell come from a gap in the body, even with a unbroken bamboo?

Its possible but improbable which is kinda why I stuck my nose into the crumb shield, to see if i could suck anything up from in there, and now everywhere else on EVO looking for scents. Can't find any, its very neutral, in fact the strongest odor by far is the honey smell from the GonG. At first I thought the feet smelled but it turned out to be the vibra-kill pad on my counter left a lingering odor that took a few seconds to dissipate.

Finally watched the fox news video and wow, i have to say how well you dealt with their derogative questions. Well played and very professional! For sure a step forward to acceptance in my opinion:clap: @stonemonkey55

Just watched the fox show as well and yeah. I was incredibly impressed by your word choice, it made the whole process sound so much cleaner. Inhalation sounds much more pure than 'hit' does.

The guy on the show didn't bug me so much, I got the vibe he thought it was cool, just a bit overwhelmed. I've had that reaction from older people too, not in a bad way. I had my friend's dad call my SSV hooked up to a bong an 'electric bong' and he was just flabbergasted, kept saying 'kids these days...'. It's like, back in the day people just smoked a joint or ripped a bowl. Now you have a high powered electronic vaporizers with custom water pieces to use them with.

Now the girl, with her comment about recreational use, actually irritated me a bit more than I'm proud to admit. I have my minor medical uses for weed, I often have a hard time falling asleep, relaxing, and I use it as a pain killer for all the minor injuries I deal with everyday from MMA training. But I also use weed very often recreationally because well, it's fun and just is nice when you're relaxing or if you have some friends over. I'm ranting more than I need to right now cause you guys aren't going to disagree with me, lol :p. It just annoys me that people still force this negative image to it based on an outdated reputation.

I'm off to recreationally vape a big bowl of Romulan in my VapeXhale EVO in protest.

Thank you very much. It is very important to me to push the image of the industry forward. I know our device has something that can very much be associated with stoner culture but at the end of the day, IMO, it is the best delivery method that we can use to make sure the vapor is cool and smooth. This was my first time on a national broadcast and I vow to come back even stronger.

Some more news in the press that if you guys could share we make us extremely thankful

Here is a little ditty I found while strolling in to my LHS for a little reward for myself. Wow, they must know me well because their "new" concept turned right into an HT once I dropped the nipple on the bottom.

This vid is a celebration session I held for myself, after 2 months of 14-18 hr days, I think I deserved it.
7 kinds of bubble in one elb. 4 being SLW
I took it at about 1:30 for flavor, 3 oclock is instant milk, but I've been falling I love with the low temp abilities of the cloud all over again.

I have a lot of things I want to say about this vape, this company, this industry, this community now that I have time, but I'll have to put my thoughts together first.
Keep on vaping on!
edit: That itty bitty HT at first was what the shop called the "dab grab", basically a necter thingy rip off, so after they subtracted the nipple and keck, she was only $105. The 18 slit baby showerhead is superb, and the overall build is very quality, just lacks some real funnel action in the recycler part.
Vid was shot last night, and the same elb is still going strong, breakfast of champions

Yes I do have a gap in the bottom. The smell seems to definitely be coming from the bamboo. It doesn't appear to be cracked from what I can see. The only thing that seems a little different is when I look straight down the bamboo where the hole gets smaller it looks a little weird, almost looks like maybe it wasn't blown perfectly. I tried to take a picture but you couldn't really see it in the picture. The smell seems to be strongest when I am above 3PM on the dial.

I cleaned my bamboo recently without sealing the vents on top. I thought if I was careful it should not be an issue. WRONG! A little alcohol and a little water found it's way in there. I of course let dry out for about 10 hours before I used it again. When I heated it up it had a strong electronic odder for quite a while after that. A good hour or so. I cleaned it again only this time I taped the top with duct tape. No more smell.

I definitely get zero smell off the vents, even if the EVO has been on max for 30 minutes.
It's only when the EVO is inverted, like @Smoke1ForMe
Though Vapexhale also didn't think it was because of the gap in the body.
EDIT: actually the smell does come from the bamboo regardless of inversion

My EVOs been used daily for 1+ month and that smell hasn't really changed. I've tried ignoring it because it works so well.
I submitted my ticket and will probably end up sending it in.

THE EVO SHOULD NOT BE LEFT INVERTED - heat rises.
Isn't that the point of the cloudbuddy system? At least for a minute or two?
Either way, I don't have a cloudbuddy so I never leave my unit inverted for longer than 30 seconds.
Dunno about smoke1, but my smell comes up only after about 3 seconds upside down.

Seems like a very isolated case at least, so I'll leave it here.

Def shouldn't be like that after a few minutes, I was talking about 10 min+

Luckily I planned beforehand so no dripping happened.
Also I recycle a kids Tylenol syringe to pour a mix of PBW, exactly if I don't lost the syringe counting, 15ml the bamboo holds.
Thanks @t-dub for introducing me to PBW.
I try to leave EVO inverted to concentrate cleaning by gravity to the male joint, where it gets the dirtiest.

Specially after my DIY dab system that I've been testing non-stop :science:

SM - the mainstream outlets will use derogatory terms (i.e., "pothead") to sensationalize their coverage and garner viewers. So long as you remain the class act you are when engaging with these folks, their sensationalism will be to VXH's advantage.

...they actually rated the Pax higher than the EVO? Really?

I really liked my Pax while I still had it, but.......really?

The ONLY thing it has over the EVO is portability. No mention of the pain in the ass constant cleaning to keep the mouthpiece from getting stuck.

Oh well...not ripping on the Pax...I really did like it. But, those comparisons are laughable at best. No mention either of convection vs conduction. Hard to compare apples & oranges.

At least there is recognition happening...

Yeah, I don't agree on that. I thought that whole lists overall choices were a bit odd. 3 portables and the EVO?

I mean like, that's just a very strange selection of vapes to compare to the EVO.

I've always been curious with how people like that do reviews, like if they actually sit down with a vape for a couple weeks and get to know it or if they just give it a trial day and move on. The couple fan reviews I've written over at GrassCity I didn't do until I was a couple weeks in with the unit I reviewed.

But I agree with @Shrike. The recognition is good none the less. I'm really happy to see VapeXhale get its name out like this with all sorts of people.

has anybody have the temp value significantly change value on their evo?. I was running the evo at about 2pm since I got it. Last night after a power cycled to reset the timeout, it now combusts at that value. In fact anything above 10am now combusts. Same material, nothing else has changed...

I am confused... and worried

When this happened to me, it was because the glass on the inside of my unit had cracked.

how did you realize that? send it in or take it apart yourself?

or could you see or hear it rattle or something?

Also why would it crack? i didn't drop or bang it.

Edit: I took it outside and looked through the tube pointed into the sun for light. I don't see anything funny or a crack. course it could be real difficult to see. I did leave it off over night and still does it now.

...the more you check it out...the more you realize how "subjective" some of these reviews are...Some of the comments of these people are downright laughable...it's really "just like movies"..the idea that these folks are some kind of "vaporizer experts" is just a complete joke...yet more sharks to confuse a already gullible public...
