What's it like to have so many choices?

As a resident in a state far from any dispensary, I have not the luxury of options when I get weed; I take whatever I am given (at least it's good quality).

What's it like to see several mason jars of high-quality weed, labeled with such names as "Jack Herrer," "White Widow," "Green Crack," "Medicine Man," "Super Silver Haze," "Grand Daddy Purp," etc.?

Can you roll a huge blunt with Jack Herrer at the tip, Medicine Man in the middle, and Super Silver Haze near the mouth? I'm not talking about mixing all the strains together, fyi.

Salads are GREAT !! Especially when one of those hard hitter strains lack the 'flavor' I enjoy... just mix it up and enjoy :drool:

I'm blessed to have not needed to 'buy' anything anymore for the past 20 yrs or so as I micro grow outdoor organic and have a small circle of very close longtime friends that do indoor organics as well. So, I constantly have a pretty good assortment choice at hand whenever.

Currently have a depleting jar'd assortment of Fucking Incredible x White Widow, Jack The Ripper, Cannatonic x Otto, Double Purple Dojo, Cheezewreck, New York City Diesel, Blueberry, and Chocolope Haze :cool:

....it's a gas...here in San Francisco there are many different dispensaries with different proclivities....I too combine strains upon occasion but I also enjoy fully experiencing the qualities of new unfamiliar strains...then I combine them...most dispensaries here go totally against stereotype in how they relate to their patients and the community at large...

Each Jyar has about an eighth of top shelf herb. Usually each one is a different strain. Thats not showing my eerl collection nor the hash, keif and ice wax. Pretty nice IMO.

I just follow this. All I do is walk in to the dispensary, and I tell them, give me something that will make me forget my name, not my pain. I want a head high not a body high, It is the head highs that seem to spark creativity, understanding, and imagination. Then I ask for them to put it all in a bag for me. When I get home and use my HERBALAIRE in the end if it is strong enough to the point where it makes a noticeable difference then I will write down whatever is on the bag label, but in the end if it just made me high. And did not make a "noticeable difference" of seeming like it is the new best of the best then I just throw the label off the bag away and make no note of it. I continue to go to dispensary after dispensary until finally one seems to have a product that gives me the most effect. So far the only dispensary that really seems to stick out like a soar thumb is the one where I get to use a punch card, and the guy even lets me use their bong and set up to do a dab in the dispensary. Also at this same place, I don't know about the how good or bad the quality is when compared to a few other places because sometimes it is hard to tell the difference, but it would appear that just by looking at it that the stuff is more frosty then from any place around. That with punch card. And I think it is my current favorite place maybe.

I'm with OP, must be so great to have access to so many options!!! And not just flowers, you guys get access to all kinds of goodies like concentrates and edibles and every dang thing you can put herb extract into! What a world! Much envy much envy :drool:

I didn't even think about edibles and such. Unfortunately, the last edible I had gave me a bad time - I put about 1.4g's of very good weed (grown out west in CO and similar places) on a Nutella firecracker.

You know how edibles usually take effect slowly (pre-high), and then BOOM - you're high as FUCK?

Well, in my last experience, I went straight to BOOM - high as fuck. But since I knew how edibles worked, I knew at that moment that it was still the pre-high from the edible.

I remember riding with my good friend in his car and shakily asking "Yo do you have a bag in the car?" and then picking up a grocery bag to breath in and out of it. "Yo I'm seriously FREAKING OUT right now."

I ended up going to my house, where I seriously considered going to the ER (then I told myself "hell no" to that). It was scary.

I never knew until I visited Colorado last summer. My friend there has access to medical and I was like a kid in a candy shop! Medical cannabis is now legal in Illinois, but it's going to take some time for dispensaries to open for business. We probably won't see that until 2015...sigh.

Sounds like my favorite hang out! Any chance it's located on a street which has 3 dispensaries close enough to be called door to door neighbors?

I was actually going to try and make a home-made edible to eat before bed. I have an issue with sleep and I don't like to keep getting out of my bed to smoke or vape bowls and bowls throughout an hour and a half before I get reach a "heavily medicated" state that I fall asleep like a baby. So I was thinking what if I just cut the smoking or vaping out and consumed an edible before getting ready for bed, then just let the magic happen.

Two concerns with this:

1. My stashes are of questionable quality simply because I have no clue what it is that I have or its origins, so it would be a gamble on how much to put it in the edible.

2. This "BOOM" factor that I keep reading about. What if I end up so out of it that my anxiety sky rockets and start having an anxiety attack (a frequent problem I have unless I have Xanax almost all the time) and I don't end up sleeping at all. I've got a wife and kids in the house, so I'm not trying to do anything dumb.

I have wondered this for FAR too long and now I must know for myself. I will be MILE HIGH in Denver for 4/20 weekend.
