I would think it goes back to original terms of sale. When you purchased the C1 did they state newest model? And was the C1 the newest at the time? If not stated than I would not expect a newest model automatically. Maybe if asked to see but don't think there would be any obligation on their part.
You can call to see their stance?
Good Luck but remember the A1 is a proven work horse.
I got the C1 about 3-4 weeks ago, as far as I know it was not the newest at the time. I was more concerned about the fact I had one that worked while charging and assumed this one wouldn't based on what rekrab said.

Just used it and no longer have any complaints. Heats up fast, hits WAY harder than my C1 and good dark/even ABV before the timer shuts it off. Also.. it DOES seem to heat up while charging, at least my unit. Not that I really need to use it but it's nice to know I still have that. I'll be getting the AIO soon anyways!

Summary: Now I absolutely love my Solo!

wow what a day. so far. feeling nice and warm and cozy took a drive up to the ski hill, absolutely dumping up there so had a bit of a pow day. nice and calm high, quite heady at the star after about 90 mins or so. still feeling that warm cozy feeling and i havent vaped again since this morning before i had my milk and chocolate.

my stems usually dont get that dirty as i usually use the straight stem until i broke two in a row so left me with this guy which is a bitch to clean so thats how i got here today ahah love me my solo

Hey guys i have a question about the battery life on my new solo (M1d2), i took it off the charger and have used it 3 times and it is now at battery level 2.

Is this normal? Seems to die quick.

I vape at lvl 4 for 12 min and then lvl 7 for 12 min to finish off the bowl.

thanks

You're having double sessions. So that is bang on. 3X doubled up is 6 which is well in the ballpark.

Sorry i typed that out wrong, i have only used it 3 single times today.

once at temp setting 7 then i re-filled and used it again later on at temp 4, and my last one was at temp 7 again.

Does sound on the low side. Was this the first charged run?
Give it a couple charge cycles to confirm your numbers. If you can't get at least 5 per charge, I would complain. From what I've experiences as well as what folks have reported, you should get 6+ on average, most get 7+.

I put a lot of thought into what I wanted to buy for my next vaporizer. I thought about the FireFly but I'm not completely sold on that vape yet. The battery doesn't last very long before it needs to be charged. It's expensive because I would be having to buy extra batteries and adapter.

I decided on a second Solo, ordered one over the weekend, I use the one I have a lot and thought an extra Solo was a must have. I am curious about the newer model too. I use my Solo as an at home vaporizer/desktop, I have an adapter so i can use while plugged in. I use other units for on the go. I did buy an Eds stem so I may use it more often while away from home. The Solo is the vape Im always suggesting to others, especially if its their first unit. You can't go wrong with a Solo (unless its a faulty unit).

Hey guys,

Been a week with my solo and loving it so far, letting my T1 and pipes gather dust. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has the 2 inch wooden wong stem from Ed's, that uses it straight (without waterpipe)? I was just thinking it could be a really good portable stealth option, more so than the 4 inch or even 3 inch ones, but am worried it might not let the vapor enough time to cool being so short and close to the heater (obviously temperature would be a factor, but i'd ideally still like to be able to hit nice 7s on the go). Anyone have any experience with this so i dont end up wasting money on too short a stem?

(PS i still plan on getting a gong adapter for my home use, cuz i'd like to reclaim easier etc since ill be using it more often than the wood)

anybody got some tips for vaping with a bong. got a small one and im not sure how to go about it and experienced heads willing to provide some advice?

It sounds like it is smaller than 14mm .
I attach 3 small O-rings onto the stems, 3 diff sizes . You can get them at any hardware store , Home Depot ( mixed bag )...I put the biggest one at the back , than the med , than the smallest one . That helps pushes in a better seal .

You can order 14mm and 18mm Gong adapters from Planetvape.ca

edit ; o ya , I like your username .

Figure out how to get the stem to make a seal with your piece. I did it with a bit of silicone and a 18-14 reducer, stem fits in and the silicone makes the seal. Bump it up a few levels over what you do dry and give it a go.

thanks for the quick reply and this is my 2nd unit i just got it today. now i got both colors. it just finished fully charging 5 mins ago. should i let it "over" charge for like an hour more before using it or do you think its good to go now? the reason why i ask is cause my battery life isnt that amzazing for the first solo i bought.

Cool to see some locals on here (then again Arizer is in Ontario). I'm in the GTA as well :)

Totally see what all the hype is about with my now-working unit. Love this thing lol.. got my AIO on order and might splurge some more and pick up one of those slick Bog Oak stems from Ed to go with the black unit.

... then of course a back up unit in Silver at some point.. lol

Nah once the light turns solid green it's good, just don't forget to do the dry burn cycle at 7. PV also sells GonG stems in various setups (stock, high efficiency, etc) which replace the stem and have ground joints so you don't have to rig anything.

Yeah it's been unfortunate to see so many people having issues with the newer models, guess when you add more stuff to it you have more ways to break it. I don't have one of Ed's Solo stems but I do have a beautiful maple stem for my LB that he picked out for me. I really like it and the price was right.

GLASS water path with a SOLO is amazing!

My favorite Bubbler broken on the inside. Ordered a new glass piece and put this one in the recycle bin!

Welcome to SOLO world!

I think Ed said you can clean them with warm soapy water. DONT use alcohol except to carefully swab out the metal bowl.
