Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

If you pop over to the 'anticipation thread' that all us international indiegogoers are still languishing in you will see we're still waiting on the parts to clear customs. No update for over a week now and we're all getting a bit fed up...

I think we'd all just accept a US version of the evo with a 220V adapter, but an update from someone in Vapexhale (given that they seem to be able to find the time to post on this thread regularly) would be nice.

A hat tip here to SM for having done an excellent job on the Fox interview.

If you haven't done anything like that - with one of the big outfits - you would be surprised at all that can be involved. And the risks, given the content, style, and editorial control the network has.

And IMO the piece was handled well given it was a network business piece. While the immediate context here was the business viability of the medical mj market, the subtext issues of the implications of recreational use, most govt and a broad swath of the public set in opposition, and a lack of knowledge about canniboids, were included directly or indirectly. There were no "gotcha" attempts. And given the widespread ignorance of mmj and vaporizing, it is not surprising that Seibo would be asked about recreational use of the EVO (given it was positioned as a medical aid) or the difference between a medical industry alternative (Marinol) vs using the plant material. Looking at this through the prism of our experience and knowledge is a mis-match and kinda misses the main point, which was about raising awareness and legitimizing the industry.

It's not easy to get a spot like this. Kudo's to VXL for the added visibility and reaching an important milestone. And speaking as an investor, I was glad to see this piece forwarding the notion that the mj market is worth investor dolllars.

....always value in providing proper prospective...it is a remarkable mission stonemonkey has undertaken...his character continues to show that it's time well spent to hang with him...

Awww shucks, both of you are too kind. The media tour continues with an interview with TheStreet.com

Does anyone have some Dave Goldstein glass they use their EVO with? How does it perform when paired with it?

I've been using my convertible tube with my fakexhale recently, it's a very nice pairing.

I can only assume the EVO would be an even nicer pairing.

(My opinion on fritter rigs:
If you can only have 1 piece, get something else with a but less drag, but if you've got any interest in high diffusion pieces, you've gotta at least try one)

Well done again, SM.

At least this guy didn't ask ridiculous questions like the Fox babe did. Though you did handle the "stoner" question very well, also. Your sales background is definitely showing through in the way you listen to and answer the questions in a nice smooth measured clip. You never sound nervous either. Not sure I wouldn't melt under the Klieg lights under those circumstances.

Kudos again!

Congrats @stonemonkey55 on the positive press. You handled both interviews very well. It helps the rest of us when we have thoughtful, intelligent people representing us in the press. It can change the public's perceptions of both "stoners" and mmj users.

When people call vaping "smoking" or talk about "stoners" it makes my skin crawl. 8/10 people that use such language probably just don't have a real opinion about it but just chime in.

A friend of a friend was going on an anti MMJ rant about "what about driving and cars!" .. (her trailer trash sister is a grower) so she was all judgey and condescending... and my friend pointed out XYZ, booze, laws on the books already, legalization for rec. use has nothing to do with driving laws etc.. etc...

Then she was all "oh, I guess so". no real opinion, just going w/ the crowd.

Vaporizing is not smoking. That's a tough message to get across. "GLorified bong" ... ugh.

Yes, the language developing is interesting. Bong=Diffuser. MJ=Cannabis=medicine, promoting delinquency vs harm reduction, does VapeXhale wish to debate the cultural bias, morals or ethics of these topics? It can detract from the product very easily which is why I suggested earlier that a "sidestep" can be a fantastic move when dealing with "mother hens" in a limited time frame. Educating the public is important as well, again so many messages . . .

Edit: Bongs use fire . . .

Did anyone get in on that recycler on massdrop? It's a sizable discount! (550 on aqua lab down to 310 shipped). I'm very excited to pair that bad boy with my evo.

No more glass for a long, long time.

I've had my unit for a couple weeks now. There seems to be nothing wrong with it, besides the occasional flashing red light when I plug it in. Switching off and on does the trick. I've noticed however, sometimes, during a session or after turning it off, little crackling noises coming from the unit. I've looked inside with a flashlight and there doesnt seem to be any thing wrong inside.

Has anyone else been experiencing these crackling noises? I read it might be the bamboo cracking but I dont visibly see anything wrong. The top part seems fine and it's hard to notice anything in the bottom part of the inside. Would the cracks be visible?

There have been a number of posts about this. It is not unusual, just heat expansion/contraction. There was a point early on when the heater was wrapped too tightly around the bamboo, resulting in some breakage. But that was resolved, so I wouldn't expect it to be an issue with your newer unit.

By the way about your flashing red light . . . there is a correlation done between the sensor and the firmware. Occasionally the synchronization gets tricked out and the unit needs to be reset, by turning the dial to noon and toggling the switch. AFAIK should not be an issue.

This thing gets very HOT at 3PM. I had read it would be hot but I didn't think it would be hotter than my +. Its almost hot to hold… The bands don't seem to do much in terms of shielding.

I wonder if there is something else that would shield it better.

The in-laws have to be careful haha

I believe that's an Evolver Hydracirc 2.0.

:peace:

Please someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't believe that Evolver had a 2 piece HT? Pretty sure that's a VXL 2.0 hydracirc?

Also, has the EVO been pretty much "finalized"? Firmware, etc....haven't really heard of any issues for a while now.

Looks great! Trying to read this entire thread before posting questions, but this vape is looking like it's in my very near future. Love all glass.

The Aromed doesn't pack the punch I like or maybe I haven't dialed it in yet... Not fond of the whips, never taste anything but the silicone whip taste which is discouraging to me so I don't use it much and went back to combusting, blasphemy! ALso have a hard time with pulling so slow, been using large water devices for a long time, used to pulling hard through charcoal filters, ash catchers/precoolers and many stages of diffusion. I think I get more of a head buzz by pulling slow through the aromed and solo regardless if there's any matter in the vape or not. LOL

Also like the ease of use for concentrates and how it efficiently vapes the concentrates.
