AFAIK the stem covers on PV site are from MFLB covers for AA batteries that have the label removed to work with the MFLB, the covers stop it from shorting.

But do know that it is not recommended to put the cap on when the stem is still hot

The typical caps are common vinyl caps, available lots of places. I get mine from McMaster Carr:

You want the ones for 1/2 to 9/16 inch. Notice there's a high temperature version available. It can be put on hot without trouble, although for normal use it's stiffer and therefore not as nice.

In the funny way the world often works the covers for lip balm like "Chapstic" also work......

Ok so I just got my warranty replacement from Arizer for my seemingly defective M1C1 ... they sent me a M1A1 .. is that normal for them to send older units? I haven't had a chance to try it yet but i'm assuming this model doesn't work while charging?

hey guys, my wooden stem comes with a plastic ring holding the screen in place,.......is it supposed to stay in? is it heat safe?
If you're referring to one of Ed's wooden stems, that snap ring inside the bowl is metal, not plastic, and is used to keep the screen in place. And yes, the ring remains inside the bowl during use.

If you ever want to remove and replace the screen (and you will), you will need a snap ring plier, preferably one with replaceable tips, similar to the image below. The interchangeable tips will allow you to use the right size that corresponds to the holes in the ring. Once you remove the ring, the screen is easily replaceable with another 1/2" screen. I buy my screens in bulk on eBay.

Don't freak yourself out, 10 minutes in you shouldn't feel anything yet so it's just your mind playing tricks,.

With edibles it's always easy to ingest more later but if you have too much to start with, once you start feeling it, it's too late to do anything about it if you over did it. Even if it is to much just stay calm and remember it will go away so either try to enjoy it or take a nap

Any thoughts on getting an older unit for warranty replacement? Got a M1A1 to replace my M1C1. Is that normal?

Bearded Dude,

mmenzie

My friends call me "Menz"
i tried the hot milk method and i have no idea what i may have possibly done wrong but the taste of just a few sips made my stomach turn so much i nearly :puke: and i even added hot chocolate powder to it to try and mask the taste.

It doesn't taste very good... I've got mine getting oily, nowhere near that as I use the straight stem and some XF screens. more of a yellow clear runny build-up... I like to use my stem hash for spiking stems :D

I would think it goes back to original terms of sale. When you purchased the C1 did they state newest model? And was the C1 the newest at the time? If not stated than I would not expect a newest model automatically. Maybe if asked to see but don't think there would be any obligation on their part.
You can call to see their stance?
Good Luck but remember the A1 is a proven work horse.
