Recyclers - Discussion and Appreciation

I'm on the fence. I've been waiting to go to this Bates and Worm show and since I've got some extra cash right now I was going to buy a recycler. A diffusion pump or find something else at the gallery(show is going to be big). Now there's this mass drop for the roor that ends 3 days before the show. It looks nice, and I know it's like half of what I'd spend at the show, but I dunno. What do you guys think of that 8 slit inline? That's all that's keeping me from jumping on it. Seems like it'd be to much. I want to taste what I'm vaping. I was looking at diffusion pumps...despite the name, they don't have much diffusion at all.

The description says this quote below, take it for what you will :\ I'm not sure what they mean by it being "even" diffusion, I would think you'd need direct line to each slit for it to be even, but I'm no perc expert, someone feel free to educate me :

At first glance, this might be too many percolators, but since the inlet to the perc is split between the 8, diffusion is much more even and makes for a smoother draw. Once the vapors exit the slits evenly, it travels up and through a curved pipe along with some water into the vortex chamber.

VAPOLITICS!
The diffusion pump is IMO one of the best glass designs EVER out there... this pieces is for me THE ULTIMATE flavor saver.

This been said 8 big slits like those is IMO still ok for dabbing. Gridded would have been overkill for concentrates I think!

You make the decision so easy! hahaha

ROFL sorry...
You should create a poll for the diffy pump on MD... ;-) maybe with luck you can get both for the price you would have put in the fair...

Good god, I wish I could find all this glass you guys are finding. I signed up for Boro but it seems pretty slim there.

I can't seem to get the whirlpool video to load here from photobucket.

Is there a fairly inexpensive recycler I can get online to go with my nail/dabbing? My bubbler is kind of big and it collects a lot of concentrate inside, so I think I need something a lot smaller with less percolation/more water swirling around.

Look what just "dropped":

Only 15 needed to get these babies down to $360...$299!

And oh god, this looks like such a good deal! Why must my budget suck now...

Any idea how long the deal will last?

Almost there...
C'mon folks. Spread the word.

Only 5 more people need to commit to buy at the $300 level for the price to be set there. You don't have to commit at a higher level.

Not that I'm interested in the outcome or anything like that ....

Sucks that this is only open to US customers...

It tells you right on the Massdrop page.

Is there such a thing as a flower-centric recycler/incycler? All the ones I see are oil rigs. Was wondering if there was such a thing, how the design might alter to be more flower-specific or what you any of you glass experts might think, I value all of your opinions.

@Soflo looking forward to seeing your work, the two you posted look very cool, it must be hard to get the waterflow into the vortex calibrated right. Can't wait to see your incycler.

Id love to see one. Id imagine it would need to be larger than the average oil rig to increase volume as well as stability for mounting a vape. Also with that in mind it should come with an 18mm female joint that has a weld to brace it if hooking something large up like a VXC... what else would be required for a flower only recycler design?

Check out videos of the hamm auto bong. I have heard that recyclers were originally designed for combusting flowers because the whirlpool collects some of the larger particles

Yeah, the Hamm AB is pretty sick, but how come I never see a video of anyone taking a hit off the thing? It looks like a turbocharged smoke/vapor "scrubber" I would think it also scrubs all the flavor out?

Even though some recyclers don't have good vortex, I have to believe that the circular spinning adds something to the cooling/filtering over a non-vortexing recycler.

For anyone who got in on the MD for the RooR, here's a pic that shows the inlet to the vortex chamber at what looks like a very vortex-friendly angle. Here's hoping for the eye candy.

I think any recycler could be used with flower in a vape, I use an extreme q with a whip in my pieces and it works great. As far as a Recycler for combustion, I wouldn't want to have to clean it! those burnt chunks would stick everywhere and slow the vortex big time too. I can get a ball of re condensed oil that forms on my return tube that will clog the piece of you let it sit, I couldn't imagine chunks of stuff in there would be good at all
