Does anyone know where I can purchase a T1 (preferably black)? I've had the same one for a couple of years, but I ended fucking up up the entire thing. :/ Most places I've found online sell them for around $160-240 ish, but that's too much for me. HEEEEELP MEH

Best I can offer if you don't want to pay full price, is to watch the classified section here on FC. I saw a few T1's go through there over the last month, so it pays to check daily. http://fuckcombustion.com/forums/classifieds.29/

other than that, I've seen a few pass by on ebay, that look like FC users gear because I saw Pipe's thump rest and PA on one listing, so that is another avenue, but since they are not being made anymore, if you can find one that isn't a knock off, you are doing good.

Yes, lately I've seen a couple being sold in the classified section. A week or so ago, there was a full kit plus an evo attachment for $60! I should've bought that haha.

I've looked in eBay.

I'll just lurk around and pounce on the next deal in classifieds.

Thanks!

Kid you not... Just stopped in a newsstand/cigar shop that I've never been too and they had a bunch of random vaporizers. Box vapes, knockoff mflbs, random shit. I look behind some of them in the glass case and there it is, a brand new T1 kit. Just saw the post from above of someone wanting one at dinner not too long ago.

So I'm like... How much??

"Ohhhhh.. Good price, my friend..."

$225.

No budging on price.

No thanks.

the bowl in question has a flat bottom, with a small bit of the metal missing so it's shaped more like a D than a O, and has the white cuff on the neck above the threading. My known 3.7v bowl is more of a golden color instead of "silver" color, and has a donut shaped bottom with no LV engraved, just a round disk with a dimple in the middle and no cuff on the neck, and the coil is center wound vertical instead of horizontal like the 6v coils.

You're right, the one on the left does not look like the 3.7v HP core that I have (and mine is not stamped "LV" either). Mine does not have the white "collar", and has the dimpled/doughnut shaped bottom end.

Also the "D" shaped bottom on the 6V T1 cores indicate an older manufacture date I believe. Didn't they change from the "D" shaped bottom to the full flat bottom (or was it the other way around)?

I have forgotten now...

Sort of. The part is actually a 'left over' from an e-cig product (the cut is a vent for air in in that product, it's useless and blocked in T1).

AFAIK, no big deal or significance here.

Just had a great hike through the woods with my T1. My technique is far from perfect but I'm seeing it get better every time I use my lovely vape, which is very rewarding.

Quick question regarding charging; is it bad if one of my batteries goes 'green' before the other? These batteries have been paired since I bought them and have been used gently and infrequently (~10 times). The second battery turned green about 5 minutes after the first. Just curious mostly.

Cheers!

That's quite common. It doesn't seem to be an indication that the battery is bad. Mine did this quite early in the peace. They have kept going strong.

Did you get my PM?

It's really hard to not fall in love with the T1 if you used it enough to get the basic technique down. Modifying it (the technique) to suit your individual tastes comes naturally I think. Some objective experimenting (following the results you like.....) is rewarding at many levels.

I still like taking mine out for some 'quality time' from time to time. I never seem to fail to note some tiny little detail (like how the heat shields fit) that makes me appreciate the care that went into the design, fabrication and construction of this guy. Too bad it's so expensive to make.

IMO a real classic vape, a real breakthrough on the trail the 'the perfect vape'. Mine aren't for sale.

On the battery issue, I guess one has to charge before the other no matter. The key is to keep them 'paired up' so they are very close at least. It's bad karma to push such battery packs too far, lest the stronger one really deeply discharge the weaker (sometimes to the point of trying to charge backwards.....) which, of course only hurts the weak one all the more hastening it's demise. And with it you have a used single battery that you now have to dump as well if you don't have a similar used one to mate it with. Pair it with a brand new one and it's gonna take rather than give the next beating making vapor.

Classic is the word I was looking for. It just feels like a cornerstone unit in my arsenal. It'll be a fond vaping landmark and a vintage rarity in a decade I'm sure. You've said it before but I really do believe it's the perfect 'tester' vape. Whenever I want to try a new strain-it's always the T1. If the heat wasn't an issue (for medical purposes) I could easily see it becoming a tool alongside the volcano for lab studies and the like. And it manages to do so whilst still retaining loads of personality (imo) versus other vapes like the Solo, which are great, but feel a bit soulless at times. It's just the type of product I intend to keep. It's functional art, pain and suffering included. In the best way possible of course.

Thanks for clearing up the battery issue. I used the exact pair earlier today and got more hits off it than I ever have before (10+). I just love it when the good get even better.

I really do like TV's first gen products. They look industrial but compared to other mechs they have a flair of their own. I showed off my Ultra setup to a few guys at the local ecig shop and they were all over it. They were even more impressed when I told them I had been using the same atty since I had it, all I had to do was clean it every once in a long while. Of course it's a bit easier to handle the oil/liquid side of the TV products compared to the loose leaf... The "personality" of it and others (MFLB, Lotus, Vapman, etc) I think is that it relies more on you to get it to work the way you want it to. A lot more user-input going into it to get it to work, so when it does you get that little extra satisfaction. My Solo is much easier to use but doesn't give me the same fun that my Launch Box does. Wish I had the cash to drop for a T1, I haven't tried it yet but I saw a lot of potential in the Evolution I had for a bit (just wasn't for me). I have a few other vape commitments at the moment so I'll have to sort those out first before thinking about snagging one of these. I really like the look of the first gen compared to the Cera lineup :2c:

Does the LR AVA cartridge work well with stable waxes? How much is recommended to load for the first time use?

Hoping someone here can clarify this for me -- I am trying to get a handle on the different components of this modular line. Mostly, I am confused about the bodies/battery compartments. Is the Ultra the same as the Alpha Ultra? Is the UltraMax something else? I understand that the UltraLite (Alpha UltraLite?) is distinct, and what that is, but haven't determined the distinctions between these other bodies called Ultras. Thanks!

It's confusing all right. Basically there are 3 models. The Ultra Max uses one 17670. The 'plain vanilla' Ultra uses one 15500, while the lite uses a much smaller 10440. The extra power of the bigger batteries is needed more in some products than others.

Here are the 3 of the with their batteries next to an Omicron V1

@OF -- Thanks! So the UltraMax is the biggest of the Ultras -- is it essentially a t1 without the sleeve, or is the size somewhere in between t1 and Ultra? Also I gather that Alpha Ultra = Ultra and Alpha Ultralite = Ultralite and there is no distinct "Alpha" model, it's just part of the name that is often dropped -- is this accurate? I have more questions about the bodies/batteries/power required to run the different attachments, but first things first.

hmmm I'm confused again, I'm just not going to worry about the word alpha. At first, from watching Thermovape's youtube videos, I thought the e-cigs were entirely different devices, but then I gathered that their bodies were the same/interchangeable with the others. Anyway, I see why you'd think of them in terms of their batteries, rather than by name. The naming/labeling of the products definitely contributes to my confusion about the system. It is kind of baffling to me that there is no sort of catalog of the components that breaks it down in an organized and thorough way, at least that I could find on the internet, and while the modularity is stressed, the system is not made completely clear from the product information. In any event, very intrigued by the company and products, confused by the gaps in information/clarity. But I am new to vaporization, trying to figure out this system after it has been discontinued, and without having most of these objects in front of me... perhaps when it was current, the information was more readily accessible. Also, I'm pretty neurotic, so yeah.

EDIT: I just entered a new land of labeling confusion having found Thermovape's other business names and e-cigs, and the names/words seem similar/interchangeable, kinda like the modular line. Though I am actually starting to find this issue to be relatable. Yes, the alpha is (one of the) names of their e-cigs.

OF can best explain how the Thermovapes work, the ceramic heating elements, batteries and so forth. And maybe why they discontinued it, the Cera notwithstanding.
Of the thermovape line, my experience is limited to the Revolution for concentrates. I can only say that it packs a big and delicious punch from small loads of wax, crumble and other concentrates. Even though the company no longer sell the thermovapes, they still service them. In my dealings with customer service, theyve always been cool.

The Alpha stuff relates to their ecig line, Apex Vapor iirc. The first ejuice atomizer was called the AVA, Apex Vapor Atomizer ;) Apex Alpha = ecig line, ThermoVape = medical cannabis device.

Also a mild correction on one of @OF's posts, the (Apex Vapor) Ultra, actually uses 14500 batteries and not the 14400's that he stated. Most likely a mistake as he's one of the two that taught me about this stuff ;)

510 threading. LV is 3.7 volts, SV is 6v, and HV is 7.4v. That's for the actual parts that attach to the bodies.

Queer in a high haze
All their thermovape products are 510 threaded? Like the loose leaf top? I know the dart is, but not sure about the others.

Is their 18650 battery any good, or would one be better off getting the Sony VTC5, or the like for their mech mod?
