Britian First Death from Cannabis Poisoning

Here is the key paragraph here, and why I'm calling bullshit: Because someone BELIEVES it, it has to be true, right?

Gemma Moss from Bouremouth, Dorset, is believed to have become the first woman in Britain to die directly from cannabis poisoning

Salutations everyone,

It seems to me this story will eventually unfold if given enough time. When it does i expect we'll read it wasn't really a direct consequence of cannabis overdose, so the day this happens to be a true "solved case" i'm confident such unfortunate marginal event will only prove useful, on the long run: the star of those responsible for such manipulation will vanish when it becomes evident it was based on twisted circumstancial evidence, revealing how desperate the anti-cannabic warriors actually are.

It's a tragedy that this women died. Sometimes autopsies don't show what the reason of death is. Just because she had cannabis in her system does not mean that was the cause of death. It probably was an underlying heart issue. A little too quick to label this cannabis intoxication.

When the cause of death isnt found most of the time its caused by electrical impulses to the heart that causes it to go into a fatal arrhythmia. I feel sad for this women's family and her children growing up without their mother. The doctor is blaming her for her own death.

This sounds too much like Reefer Madness coming from this crazy Medical Examiner. Who is this goofball!

As this was not enough, now they've found a coprse of a man who died in gas somehow... then found some traces of thc in his body and... ...guess, what they blamed for the death:

Probitionist are slowly loosing and this just shows how desperate they are getting to find anything bad about cannabis.
Let's shout out loud to them "go to hell already, we're not eating any more of this bullshit!"

What is interesting is the doctor who did the autopsy ruled out any other cause, i don't know how they could do that since she died of heart attack.

It is entirely possible that the cannabis effects on the heart have dramatically increased an underlying heart problem, but she died having a heart atack after smoking a joint.

To say that is a cannabis overdose like they call it is preposterous. But it is known that cannabis increases heart rate so for someone with a bad heart that can be fatal.

Plus, she was on prescription drugs. They did not say which, but i think there is a strong possibility the side effects could explain the heart attack.

Once again, the reefer madness propaganda continues. It is sad really. But like Seek said, it smells of desperation.

I noticed that in the article too, though it said that she hadn't been taking them...
I immediately thought perhaps withdrawal from the prescription meds may have had something to do with it?

Who to believe, a doctor wearing a lab coat saying there is no way weed can kill you because it doesn't bind to the receptors in the brain stem responsible for regulating breathing and heart rate or Luke Salkeld from the daily mail who is known to take creative liberties with his writing. http://www.mailwatch.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1769
MYTH DEBUNKED.

This is typical Daily Mail, they have been running an anti mmj campaign for the last 20 odd years. I feel sorry for anyone stupid enough to read the paper.
