Discontinued Inhalater XP

That is why I have been experimenting with shisha tobacco. It's great to get the hits of a full capsule but it tends to wrinkle you a bit if you are at work and have a lot of meetings ;-/

I guess the adjustablity of Aero is good. If you don't have it it's kind of a hit or miss for the particular mood, herbs and temperature you are using.

I like to fiddle around with it just like temperature. Sure things is that at max setting it's harsh without it.

Taste is good enough if you stay on the low t° settings (until 5), the higher settings are made for the cloud chaser and to use through water.

With the ascent you get everytime a good taste but it's difficult to get big clouds (I never try it but in the dedicaced thread the bigger complaint is the lack of clouds...)

With the Xp you get both taste(low settings) and clouds (high settings) not in the same time but you can choose....

IMHO the Ascent is a fashion victim vape more than a functionnal vape, I would to try it but never spend my cash for it, but perhaps after a try I'll change my minds...

...is there any portable vape with as good taste as the Ascent. Solo not included.
Perhaps ask about the Ascent in that thread.... and the solo in it's thread.
There are many people in the Inhalater Thread, that know nothing of these other vapes, and are here to talk about the Inhalater.
Many here in Inhalaterville have never tried those vapes to compare.
The users of the two you mentioned would be best to answer.

PS .. it is also a matter of personal preference.
I love my solo, and disliked the ascent.
I have met MANY patients that share this view, while others rave on about the opposite.

The Inhalater XP (topic of this thread) has marvelous flavor for those that are willing to vape at a lower setting and vape at leisure.
Yesterday I was at medical visits most of the day. The Inhalater made it for 8 hours, with me hitting it much more often than hourly.
I loaded the capsule full 6 times during the day. had two sessions with each capsule.
got home with power to spare. Never even got to either one of my backup vapes I had with me.

Actually, if someone is interested in an xp comparisons are obviously a valid method of getting more info. I have used both and the taste of the xp is nowhere near as good as the all glass vapor path of the ascent. The ascent has it's own issues though.
I'm glad some are so ecstatic w/ their xps, but acting like one unit is the same as another is willful disillusion. It is these kind of praises and blanket statements from some users that convinced me to buy an xp in the 1st place, and there are NO huge clouds coming out of mine unless I let it cook on 7 for several minutes. Not to mention that when I had a battery issue w/ my ascent, they gave an IMMEDIATE refund, accepted responsibility and showed a presence when it was not comfortable to do so. Sometimes who you are buying from is as important as what you are buying - and a point of comparison.
Some talk about multiple person, multiple sessions w/ a single cap. I have put away 3 caps myself at times, then had to take a couple bonghits to achieve a medicated state. W/ my xp, I am usually tired of trying to get medicated long before I get there. This is not to say that a new customer will get the same unit as mine, it could easily be totally different.

I carefully read the entire thread.. and I do not see anyone saying that they achieved huge clouds at low levels... quite the opposite.
I also do not find "several minutes" unreasonable.
So... you do get huge clouds with the Inhalater, when you let it cook on 7 for several minutes!
I get huge clouds when I do this also.
I prefer the medium clouds at 6 however.. they taste better, and the sessions last much longer.

I get huge clouds at 4.5 with shisha and Aero cap. Big clouds with low temperature and fabulous taste need full capsules of good herbs. Will get you wonky in no time :D. No 6 feet of plumbing for this :o

I coulda swore that was your vid showing good clouds at 5 - what I was considering low as it is the 1st setting that produces decent vape on my unit. W/ my unit, you could not get clouds like that at 5. At 5, I get several tasty hits w/ virtually no visible vapor. If every hit was like the first few I get at that setting, I would be content to never see a wisp of visible vapor. My point was that from the video, we have very different machines. I apologize if it wasn't your vid I am referring to.
I also have read the entire thread, and I think that differences in units, even from the same batch, is self evident.
I guess I do have a problem waiting several minutes at close to the highest setting to achieve substantial clouds on a vape that markets itself as convection. Sure sounds like conduction to me. You and others have said (if I remember correctly) that the newer models run hotter. I find the opposite to be true of my unit when compared w/ my previous.

I explained in a followup post.
After you get it going at 6-7 you can back it down.
My comment was made to remind YOU that YOU said you get clouds that are huge at 7.
I agreed 7 gives HUGE clouds... and that I could also get huge clouds at 7
My videos always show good hits. I exercise my lungs for maximum pressure, and have perfect lighting

I only speak for my 2 units when I say they both give me thick vapour at 7+ I don't usually vape that high as I prefer the feeling I get from the 5-6 setting. Even lower when I want a nice high vs a stone.

Great taste too, perhaps not quite as good as Solo, but more than good enough for me. When I want to blow big clouds on occasion, I can at 7+ but don't equate vapour density to a better medicated feeling. I get sleepy at 7+.

If the laws of science permitted, I'd actually prefer NO visible vapour at ANY setting as long as the extraction and feeling was still as great, but I guess I can tolerate exhaling clouds for this on occasion.

The battery is awesome and I hardly ever need to resort to my second xp within a day unless I forget to charge overnight. With the material I use, I am more than medicated enough with one load across 2, sometimes 3 sessions.

All this in a compact unit, along with the ease of cleaning and maintenance makes it my fave vape currently. Waiting to see if the grasshopper might change that. Not much already out there beats the XP in the areas that matter to me. Mine are like 8 and 10 months old now and no issues with the charge port or anything.
Still on the original capsules too.

Just adding onto the recent reviews of the XP, mine has been great since I got my replacement almost a year ago. I don't think anyone is going to disagree that the quality has been inconsistent in the past, but it sounds like they finally have a lot smoother operation going on now. Mine is on the original capsules as well, and no problems with the charging point since I got a replacement.

Overall, I understand why some people are upset based on their unit and it is unfortunate, because a properly working XP is one of the best portables on the market. Each person has their own opinion on taste and clouds, but when I compared mine to the Ascent the difference in taste was minimal.

For those interested, I can actually get really big clouds at low temperatures. While it seems every Inhalater model functions differently, here's what I do if I want good taste and big clouds at low temperatures.

0. Pack a capsule very full with very fine ground herb.
1. Start the unit at 6, take a few hits as its heating up until you get noticeable vapor.
2. Turn the unit down to 3-4 range.
3. Cover the holes on your unit.

Above the LED where the ridges are on the XP, you will notice 2 or 4 holes. These allow additional airflow into the XP (like the aero capsule, except before the heating takes place. This is also what allows the XP to have little resistance). Blocking these holes causes restricted airflow but also leads to much more visible vapor.

IMO, this makes a huge difference on the quality of vapor and effective range of taste and cloud size.

For comparisons, my unit has two, VERY small holes. I have seen others with up to 4 LARGE holes. The size and number seems to vary among models. Try taping these holes or covering them like a carb and see the results. Some models it will make a large impact, others it does nothing. Works great on my unit though!

Covering the holes at 3 produces visible vapor equal in quality to about a 5.5 with the holes uncovered. However, covering the holes at 6+ seems to have no noticeable impact really. not sure why.

My INH004 had two holes smaller than the two holes on my XP.
Although my memory is fading, I remember liking the airflow.

I was just on the arizer forum speaking on that, i owned one for a bit and now i'm on the shop for a new portable...Should the XP be in my view!??! I really like the look, and i'm sold on no draw restriction knowing the solo just didn't give in on that one! With a few solid mods I figured that the XP will be a step in the right direction...hopefully!

All work and no vape makes Bob a dull boy!

If you live in Canada, I would definitely get it. If not, I'd still strongly consider it. After months of inconsistent production, delays in replacements, etc., the past few weeks there has been very few complaints in this thread. IMO, this probably means most of the customers are happy and don't have a reason to post since they've been taken care of.

IMO, the INH or Ascent are the ones you should be looking into.

i am still feeling like walking on a straight line about sending back the upgrade.I am afraid that maybe when it comes it wont be as strong...The xp is a BEAST and it feels like nothing can match it overall...u get 0.4 g fine grinder high grade material u turn it on and u just inhale for 20 minutes non stop.no stirring,no refilling,no flame,no combustion fear,no draw restriction, dense clouds, dark brown all the same colour ABV,usb charge and pass through, fits all bongs with silicon mouthpiece,no maintenace(using capsules + one screen at the bottom of the capsule),can charge in the car also or with external usb battery,ABV even dark brown even with REALLY small quantities as well + small clouds, undercover and i can go on and on listing good things about it...

two negatives about it

customer support has been too bad for too long now...but finally it seems like they are getting really on track and i can verify that in the last months i have had excelent communication with them really fast transaction and shipping and awesome deals and right now i am more than ok with their customer support.

second bad thing

It is TOO STRONG!!!everytime i feel a capsule i start scooping and it just never seems to get full...especially with fine grind.I got to admit that even half the capsule is more than enough for 1 person but when u know u can get these clouds and all the experience in general it is too hard to resist and like 1/4 times i give in andput some more that i really wanted...the capsule tricks u always looking like it could take some more...and some more..

anyway PLEASE people who are getting replacements now or new units latest models report in so we can send upgrades...shipping is to expensive and the xp is TOO good to be without it...
