Is that the included SS screen with a wisp of cotton on top??
Unfortunately, I have no concentrates. I cut down one of the screens they sent and put it in the middle bump of my fem/fem adapter. The idea was to move the herb closer to the heater in order to get good vapor out of lower voltage. Making the unit a little better to handle. Still hot at the top though. I plugged the back as observed in the video below. Got good vapor at lower voltage. The unfortunate side effect of this was the brown spot with the green halo the was reported by @Zangano Cruel . Good taste in my opinion. My apologies for the embarrassingly out of focus video. It gets the point across though. More experimenting to be done I suppose. :science:

Guys still wondering if anyone has used this without glass/water?

Is there a glass stem or whip provided?
I didn't receive a whip but would love to try one. I have no prior experience with a whip vape though, so I have no comparison.

Madcap79,
Just tried it through a straight waterpipe dry at 86 volts . pretty smooth. Ok flavor.

No now whip or stem.
Thanks Skipper :)

I can't be bothered checking but i was sure versa had mentioned a glass stem would be provided. I know they did suggest Arizer whips were suitable.

So am I correct in thinking that if you purchase this vape, it is is unusable using only what is included in the box? Going along the lines of what ZC was suggesting, it is certainly not a vape for beginners and/or the unitiated. Personally, I think this is a pretty big negative for a lot of users.

That is a good point. Hopefully a whip will come out as an option.

@Mr. Gweilo 420 -- Didn't you buy a bunch of glass strictly for this if I remember correctly?

Whip will definitely NOT help with any flavor issues. Cloud/evos don't come with whips or the LSV. And I wouldn't call either of them vapes for beginners or uninitiated either, nor would I consider it a negative for either three vapes.
I would also never recommend beginner or uninitiated buy a vaporizer in Beta phase, like the Versa. Remember this vape should change some by time it gets final release status.

Always makes me cringe when someone mentions a bag or whip for superior products like the Cloud, why step down your flavor or performance with plastic bags and silicone straws?
Now, if you NEED bags or whips for physical/medical reasons, I would steer to the vapes that do that very well. Not buy the wrong type vape, then steer it towards your needs(unless you just like extra work).

I do not mean to offend anyone, I am speaking generally about this, not towards anyone.

1. You can use it without the whip but we include a straw type whip which is 4-6 inches long.
There you go. Have I caught Versa at another lie or did I miss a change along the way?I am new to vaping through water and would have liked to know I had an easy method of vaping with the Infinity open to me just in case things go wrong.

@Silver420Surfer - okay if we are beta testing then we are testing for all vaporists. Not just those well experienced with Evos, Herbies and Subs. You dig? IMO a vaporizer should be able to be taken out of the box and used immediately (sure there will be a learning curve but I mean without further purchase). At $250 this vape may appeal to a lot of people, both highly experienced and inexperienced. For example, if someone was attempting to make a choice between purchasing the Infinity or an e-nano I would recommend the e-Nano as it can be used as is or can be adapted to water.

Also, personally I am chasing clouds over flavor although I will take both.

No we are not testing for all vaporists, we are testing to give feedback to the manufacturer. So that they can make modifcations of their vision. You bought a vape that IS primarily for use with water pieces and hookahs, not whips and bags.
If I was recommending a vape between the enano and Versa, I would find out the persons wants/needs/expectaions and go from there, :2c:.
MANY good vapes are not just take out of box and go, that's one of the reasons FC exists and keeps growing. How many times peeps join up and first post is about a vape they bought and were trying to find out how to use/make it better, etc. and were lead to here thru googly?
Agree to disagree.
Irregardless I hope you love your new vape when it does arrive!!:)

@grokit-The Cloud evo does now, but not in beta or the first round it didn't. Since this is a beta, maybe it will down the road. But when you look at the Versa and its adapters, you can certainly see it's meant for water. Hence, @Mr. Gweilo 420 , acquisition of a few water pieces after he got in on the beta. Use it how you like, but it is clearly designed to use with glass pipes.

Either way it is another clear example of versa saying one thing and doing another.

Personally I hate bags. Nonetheless this vape is meant to be highly dynamic and one of its features as suggested by the manufacturer is that it can be used with herb or concentrates, with glass, with bags, with a stem, with a whip etc. as such appropriate beta testing should explore all avenues.
Why do I want a stem? Because versa promised it.

Also, considering the heat issues of holding the unit a hands-free method sounds appealing. I'm sure many medical users may have issues with the danger inherent in this unit.

@Mr. Gweilo 420 --Did you receive your package yet to know if a whip has been included? Did you contact the manufacturer?

Honestly, it feels like some should not have bought in the beta test, it's more about finding the faults to YELL, than trying to enjoy and provide feedback. Some have not even tried it yet, BUT have a nasty taste in their mouth already. (And if it's because of the Versa/FC deceit, then you should of dropped out if you felt that strongly then, and rightfully so.)
But if you're in, let's make it a better vape by our experiences and suggestions, not calling them liars.:)

My package has been sitting in San Francisco for the past 3 days so no I have not. The Skipper and Madcap have both confirmed that. However, I should say to my knowledge a whip was never part of the deal. it was simply suggested by "leiana" that an Arizer whip would work well. The glass stem/straw, as per my post quoting "Leiana" is another matter.

A question if I may. Regarding concentrates, I have no access to bho or exciting bubble hashes, oils, etc. As such I vape flowers 99% of the time.

However, I have access to regular black hash, either Afgan or Nepalese. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to acquire some to test with the Infinity? I have not bought any in a while.

Also, any tips as to how to use it? I have vaped this stuff before. It was ok in the solo and the plenty with either flowers or avb. However, even back then I knew I needed more power. It seems the infinity would have enough power to melt it fast.

I've never done a dab before. However, I was thinking about it recently and I used to hot knive black hash over a gas stove. Those were back in the old combustion days but is it in the same ballpark?

If you can access to flowers, you access to concentrates, you just need to do it (it's really easy)

I already done concentrates from moroccan hasch (compressed kief) and it's amazing, with black hash like you get the issue imo is to decompress it before to blast it with tane.

Just be sure about the purity of the hasch you'll get, sometimes people mix it with something that you don't want in your oil!

They should think about putting a glass wand, a whip or something of the like for retail release. I personally don't care about having one but to have it "usable out of the box" like @Jared said would be a positive for new customers.:2c:

I am going to test primarily bags (non boost units) but when I was speaking with Versa it seemed like the whip related items weren't ready, the same situation for bags. But I would expect whip info quicker than bags.

And im sure if we give them better designs they would acknowledge them and try and improve the wand/directdrawstem.

Wouldn't a whip or a straw require yet another different adapter for the bowl?

I ordered a dome screen with mine, I believe that is to place in the flower bowl to use inverted for a vertical hydrotube (Versa said a video of that would be made), I would use my Pinnacle WT, but don't want to accidentally cough water into the heater.

We've all seen that they plan on making custom Hydrotubes like VapeExhale has done. I think it's safe to say they are trying to model themselves as a similar type vaporizer company.

If it were feasible to make the Infinity body out of double-walled glass, maybe that would reduce the too hot to handle issue?
