My $70 tubes rocked up today, chandelier and a double shower head. All looks good apart from the splash guard slits that are not all completely open. And man these ground joints don't seal on anything! Gonna try lose the logos, 2 is over the top.
I really love em though, nice cheap solid tubes. And they are quite pretty if you can live with the logo. Ive been enjoying them all day :)

Well, after I finally got someone on the phone last week after many weeks of no replies at all, we agreed to just cancel the order and refund my money. BUT, the very next day I got notified that it had just shipped. I received the dbl shower head the other day and carefully filled it with about 3/4 inch above the top perc. It leaked out of the bottom. I emailed VB twice with pictures since then, and spoke with a rep who could only relay the matter to HQ, and they have yet to reply. If I don't hear from VB in the next 2-3 days, I will put the purchase into dispute mode with the CC company and get my refund that way. FYI, the phone number provided on the VB web site is ONLY for an employee who is often on the road and apparently has no decision-making authority with regard to such issues - he can only relay the matter to HQ (who never respond in the first place, or after). Anyone here have to deal with a leaky tube? Thanks for listening!

I've heard of the issue, it's basically a manufacturing defect nothing you can do about it, but now you have an excuse to send it back and get your refund! Sounds like you've had quite the ordeal...

Is the mouthpiece on your mini tube crooked or it just the picture?

Haha yeah it is a bit crooked but that pic really accents it with the glare. I bought it when they were back ordered and it looks like they were in a rush when making it but it works fine.

UPDATE: VB replied to my inquiry concerning the leaky tube. They advised to only fill just above the slits on the top perc. I filled to just about 1/8 -1/4 inch above the top perc and it stays dry, so I'm now satisfied with my HT. Happy New Year to all!

A word of warning to anyone who bought this as a gift and received a broken unit instead:

Claims on glass need to be made within 24 hours of receiving the product.

Lesson learned, and I will take my money elsewhere and support vendors who produce QUALITY parts. To receive that one line response as someone who has purchased 3 pieces of glass from this site... Well that pretty infuriating after receiving a chandelier detached from the base. Lesson for you all, make sure to paw your hands, open boxes, and remove contents for your glass orders since they give you a limited time window. My thanks to their stellar customer service for NOT offering an exchange.

For anyone else caught with this unfortunate hassle I would recommend you open a case with your credit card company. The idea of paying for a product that works isn't hard for my bank to comprehend. And taking back payment from vendors who ship broken goods won't be much of a stretch.

As for my review on the mini water tool and the star head. The labels are obtrusive and the quality is lacking ie slit precision/ unevenness . On the star not all the percs fire when held upright. At $70 it's a decent deal but anyone who missed out I personally don't think the $230 price tag is warranted for such so-so craftsmanship.

Yeah from what I have seen they are very hit or miss quality wise. My chandelier is perfect while my other mini tube is slightly crooked. I have seen/heard of pieces that were much worse. I love my pieces and would buy them again.

Thanks for the warning though

I recently got my PNWT and the PonG seems to be attached to the piece. i didn't want to force it out not knowing if it was meant to be attached at all times. But seeing some pictures here of the PNWT without the PonG attached at all times, means that its just super snug on the WT and that it should come off with some force. Anyone had this issue before? any tips on how to force the PonG out without causing damage?

Turn on unit until hot and them gently wiggle until loose.

Hey you guys, I recently misplaced my PNWT, I was wondering if there's a discount out on the WT so I can buy another one.

I must say the one thing I do like about this WT is that it is very easy to scoop and reclaim the honey from my cloud that builds up on the inside of the female joint/tube. Its the most beautiful golden honey goo and it comes right off. Actually noticed a funny whistle this morning and sure enough there was a huge glob that had been building up since last week. At least .2

I hate to resurrect an old thread, but after looking for glass and finding most tubes running over $100, I was excited to find a logo-less hydrotube available on eBay for under $30. Picked one up to use with my Davinci Ascent, and I'm amazed at how well made this piece is for the price!

No goofy white logo to detract from the beauty of the glass makes this better than a branded tube, and the entire thing is blemish-free save for a very small imperfection on the inside of the female adapter.

As my first vaporizer water tool I can't compare it to others, but I'm amazed at the great flavor and clouds this tube is producing in combination with my Ascent! Can definitely see why people pay more for quality glass, but at $29 shipped these logo-less tubes are a great value!

also CLR works wonders on hard mineral stains too. Try to use distilled water and some of the other adjuncts that were offered as well to keep it from happening afterwards. CLR, if small rig, a shot glass or 2 worths, (F-bomb,PNWT not even a shots glass I would think) slightly diluted with a bit of water, mechanical agitation and maybe keep it soaking in the can for a while after wards to make sure, shake again dump, rinse with cold tap* ,dump it out flush with distilled and either put her up or fill her up and get going to the bake sale!!

ps wear gloves,if prolonged use,it will cause some irritation, but I have done it with out gloves, and noticed afterwards, skin was real dry and seemed to remove a bit of callouses but nothing ER bound or problematic later on but best to be safe side and avoid contact and do *rinse it out thoroughly.

I've tried dipping it with vinegar and baking soda, no luck. What is CLR?
