IMO with an EVO and DIY you can reach something like this ...

Stay vaped... I own an E-Nano too... Hard to imitate an EVO IMO
I use my HI and E-Nano way more than my Cloud+. Different strokes as they say. The Cloud is top of the line, don't get me wrong, but usually 3rd or 4th in my line though. I'm an oddity in this regard and I understand it sounds crazy. Just trying to add more perspective.

Compare to LSV please.

I am unable to do a comparison but as a daily abuser of a LSV I think I can offer some insight.
The LSV and Versa are very similar in many areas the main difference being the outer case, one being alooy the other glass.
From what I am reading about the Versa and my experiences with the LSV they are the same beasts with the same issues and learning curves.
I have found body heat to be an issue with the LSV (240 degrees mid body) . You soon learn how to handle it. At least with the LSV when you burn your self and drop it it wont smash to peices.
Another heat issue is glass attachments. What do you expect you are drawing hot air 200-300+ degrees through them. Yes they get damm hot and if you dont wait a minute you will get burnt.
After watching the last video there will be a lot of stuck and broken glass. I have found with using the LSV with 18mm male/female fittings is not to jam them together but to feather them or drive the joints like a trombone.
I have been watching the thread from the start as I think it is a beutiful peice of glass and had high hopes of it being as revolutionary as the claims made by the team.

Thanks for the info. Regarding the heating of the glass in the LSV, I never noticed that the WPA got overly too hot to handle. And yeah, the LSV's body does get very warm if left on at 3/4 power for 30 minutes or more, but again, never gets hot enough to burn.

I can see that handling of the Versa could be an issue though being that it is only the bottom third that is safe to hold otherwise you could end up burning yourself.......Hell, I've burnt myself on the tip of a PD stem (never even came close to injuring myself with the LSV though) but being really buzzed while using the Versa could definitely be an issue for some.

I think just from a legal point of view so they don't get sued, they really need to put some markings on the glass body to indicate where NOT to hold which is kinda too bad being that it's going to take away from the nice aesthetics of it. Having to use those tongs is kinda interesting though.

Being really buzzed and having to manipulate very hot glass pieces with tongs as well as remembering where not to hold the Versa in the upper 2/3's of the body is going to be a hit and miss...........especially in party situations. Dropping a PD stem from getting singed is one thing. Dropping the Versa is quite another.

The WPA's arent to bad but whem you jam a 18mm male adapter full of product into the LSV and drive it like you stole it you will burn yourself occasionally.

Right, the lsv is cooler to the touch but the versa can be stored in an upright position.
To me these two kind of cancel each other out.

I agree about the aesthetics, that's why I suggested just a thin red line.
I like the finger indents, maybe add some laser-etched flames on the top half.
Or an easy-to-remove foil warning sticker that says "do not remove" lol.

It would be the bee's knees if I could get a unit in the stylings of JAG. He could make the warnings look classy imho. :mmmm::mmmm::mmmm::mmmm:

Of course actually finding a way to keep the unit cool would be even better.

Could you explain why this so called boost would make a difference over turning up the voltage?
Turning up the voltage during a hit will not increase the temperature as quickly as using boost. Almost immediately when you place your palm covering the base of the infinity, it will milk your piece.

IMO, the taste will also last longer using lower voltages using boost occasionally or pulsing boost during the hit than starting with a higher voltage and no boost.

Very quick first impressions. It's been a hell of a week and have not had time to play with the Infinity until now. Loaded a couple small pinches, about as much as I do for my EV-2, and started at 75v. I got four nice rips, two of which hurt me a bit. Definitely can get instant milk with the "boost," which as other have identified means simply palming the end of the unit to increase pressure to the airflow, I did combust on the fifth rip -- held the boost too long. The way my glass was milking before the moment of combustion, though, I had another and maybe even a couple smaller ones.

I did benefit from those who preceded me to avoid hot hands and blistered fingers - the temptation is definitely to grasp the unit closer to the mouth than the base but the raised ring on the bowl gave my fingers a cool enough place to grasp. Will see how that progresses and of course, this is herb not concentrate. That will come a little later.

I will follow with a more extensive test and review, but first impressions on maiden voyage...I am high as hellllllllllllll...

I can not disagree with what you typed. But at the same time not quite the answer to my question. Ok ok I might see a reason for boost. But waiting the 15 seconds for it to raise temps doesn't hurt me. And boost brings me way to close to combustion for my comfort.

If you turn the voltage up and wait for it to adjust to the new temperature there should be no difference. I just tried it again and see no difference.

About the taste argument I will have to disagree with that. Using boost at 75v I got less hits and the taste was not desirable after the 2nd hit when compared to 85v with no boost.

Boost is almost necessary for concentrates to get a thick milky hit. Without boost for concentrates it takes more time to get a full hit.

Flowers don't really need the boost at all however it is there if your set a bit low in temp a quick boost will get it going with out stopping and waiting for the new setting to warm up. The boost certainly let's different styles of hitting to happen, I think combustion bong ripper friends will like the boost for a lung busting one and done rip.

That's it if you don't combust in 1.5s of "boost"
Happens to me all the time if I "boost" even with fresh herb.
I see the charred and instant darkening in the middle and outside green rim in the flower bowl...

What really bothers me, is the fact that I need to stir every other hit if I don't want charring, boost or not....
Flower bowl is ultra hot after 2nd consecutive usage... Getting stucked anytime I want to remove Infinity from the bowl...

Isn't that just a matter of applying too much heat. The same thing happens with my LSV if my heat is turned up a tad too much. Even with the correct amount of heat though, I find myself stirring between every hit to get an even burn.

Same thing with my PD. Not stirring though, but rotating the bowl while in the heat exchanger.

It's been my experience that stirring to get an even burn across the flowers is pretty typical, eh? At least it has been with the vape's I have used.

What isn't typical though is grabbing a vape and having it burn the fuck out of your hand. I mean, I totally would understand a small part of the vape that gets extremely hot with the capability of causing burns, but not 2/3rd's of the whole vape.

Yes if I boost at a temp that will create visible vapor with out boost I get that dark center and I f I boost with flower it is when visible vapor is not there and a short tap boost is all it needs to create visible vapor. I have been playing with how I pack the flower. I have had nice results with just a screen cover and using the skewer to pack it down to make more resistance, this is giving me even browning and a light tan ABV, no stir and 3-4 tasty hits. I also have had good results with packing the bowl to the nub with a mild tamp down to get as uniform pack as possible, I have been able to get a very long session with only removing the Versa for one still half way through and pretty even results.

I think we can agree if results are black and charred then to much heat is being used. I can blacken flower in my Cera LL, and my DBV easily, the learning curve is how to not do this. I also have to stir my DBV after every hit and that unit got shelved two years ago with limited use since. The Cera LL is a lot of work to get a bowl to vape proper and one bowl is not enough for me, doing a second bowl gets the unit so hot it is not pleasurable to use.

The Versa sticking to the flower bowl does happen so now I grab the nub, even in concentrate temps the nub is cool enough for me to hold the flower bowl still while I lift the Versa off. When I receive my concentrate bowl this may be more problematic but on their forum they are discussing a change to the concentrate bowl to help this.

I give the Versa a slight twist back and forth before pulling it away from the bowl and haven't had it stick using that method. The I use the boost to get the last few goodies out after getting my hits out at my desired temp. I get even roasting. Haven't combusted yet just really dark ABV.

I'll really like to give more of a positive review , but I'm finding more cons than pros in this vape...
Seriously, after the MW and Incognito fiasco, I don't see the solution for the same problem we're seeing here in the Infinity. Overheated bowls and unit...
Gadgets to avoid burning fingers, cheapo tongs, is not a solution in my book...
IMO, thanks to FC, I got spoiled with the best and easy vapes to use IMO,
Solo, log vape, EVO/Cloud, (no Herbie, yet... :) .
After using easy flavorful efficient and powerful vapes like those, it's hard to other vapes to reach those benchmarks.
That's why IMO this is NOT a FIRST TIMER vape.
BTW, for those that want to use the Infinity as a dedicated concentrate tool, do yourself a favor and stick to Quartz or Ti nails, or better yet,
e-Nails are getting cheaper everyday.
Best solution IMO for a dedicated concentrates rig..,
