Discontinued Thermovape Cera

What's the deal with buying a used one? Is the warranty still good? What are the risks?

I purchased A Cera from the classifieds (one of the pre orders)
What I did was, I asked the previous owner to e-mail TET to transfer the warranty to me

Once My Cera arrived I sent it in to get the laser weld upgrade for the Cera body (which now comes stock)
TET did this free of charge and offered to pay shipping as well.
Truly a remarkable and trustworthy company.

Ever since my LL Cera arrived, My revolution sits awaiting patiently as I enjoy herbs once again.
I still can't wait to get the Luna for my Future EO Cartridge :-)

I used my Cera LL cartridge for about a week and with only 5 q-tips it was nice and clean.
So easy, I haven't even tried boiling my LL cart just because it cleans up so well and with great ease

I was questioning everything before I bought my Thermovape Revolution
Then I pulled the trigger and I was extremely happy with my purchase.

The Cera came out, I researched for months about it. I Heard amazing results about the EO Cartridge.

I wanted one but I didn't want to pay the full price so I bought a used one with an LL Cart, (as I stated in an earlier post maybe a page back) received my LL cartridge and Cera, seriously been satisfied ever since my purchase.

So my question is, what is stopping you from purchasing a beloved Cera?

I can also attest to the great results with my Cera EO. This board helped me with many startup questions (cleaning, loading) and now the thing is a wonderful addition to my existing vapes. Very tasty and abundant hits. Purchasing the recommended multimeter and scale helps.

But I must say I still am quite happy with my arizer solo (with extended battery that I purchased from someone on this board) for green leaf. Its dummy proof, u can pre-load many glass wands/whips, requires minimal cleaning and is semi-portable.

Yeah, i loved the solo, but i cant carry it around in my pants pocket its not really portable.

Yeah solo is long and heavy, but it fits in my pocket. And will hopefully have a luna conversion whenever it happens. For LL the cart stays way cleaner and easier to keep clean then the solo stems.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything bad other than it looks like a dildo, gets too hot, and the battery life sucks. I've heard it gets too hot after 4 bowls? I don't need to smoke 4 straight bowls and I don't plan on sharing this thing with anybody. One thing I wish it did have was a pass through....

I am happy to report that my issues with the Cera from THermoVape.com has been fully resolved.

I would like to thank Canada Post, and my Credit card Company for helping us with the Tech Support issues we were having with our Cera.

I got one mail from Zippy or Zeffy or whoever that guy is (shrugs) and he asked for us to re send the e-mails. of course we re sent them. Never ever heard back. From anyone, not in E-mail, not here, not anywhere. I can only assume that if you live outside of the USA, you will not get any support at all from this company.

Our credit card company told us to ship it back, with tracking #. Once it has been received, by TET, wait one day. Then call and let them know you require a full 100% refund on the purchase.

Of course, no one answers phones, or returns calls. I left several very nasty messages. Crickets.

Me - no sale
Three sons - no sale
Two brothers - no sale

Even the lady at the Post office asked about recommendation. I was honest.

Lady - no sale

7x500=$3500.00 in lost sales, because the company could care less about supporting us.

So, that's how I resolved my issues with TET.

Can anyone recommend other forums for vapes on the Net?

Thanks everyone.

Goodbye.

Hi, yes, that sounds awesome.

Is there a link to this cool thing you speak of?

I think you meant $ back, not backing. Honest mistake.

Carry on. :-)

grasscity

it's kind of like the middle school bathroom version of fuckcombustion except fc only focuses on vaporizers and cannabis whereas grasscity talks about smoking and vaping and cannabis.

Not sure the timeline but were you aware that Monday was a holiday for us in the US? Wouldn't be surprised if they took the day off. I'm a bit confused as to the problems you had with TV, they've always been excellent with me and I haven't spent as much money with them as you have. Though, to be honest, I always try to be courteous to people working customer service. I've worked retail for a while, I know what the grind is like, I know what difficult customers are like. I'm not calling you a difficult customer, so don't take offense to it, but "leaving several nasty messages" would be the quickest way for me to give you the bare minimum customer service possible.

I agree with your post 1000%

I don't create problems for anyone. I order my stuff, I pay for it 100%. I never screw anyone. We are senior citizens, have lived a long productive life, never screwing anyone over for anything, not 1 cent.

I do not want to cause problems here,as I have already been told, that I should not discuss this abortion until it is resolved. That's what I posted above, the resolution we needed to take.

My $ was taken on January 2nd of this year. My first post was immediately upon receiving the unit. I think I have given ample time and opportunity to have this resolved some other way? no?

I have had my ISP check the logs for my account. Apart from Zippy/Zeffy one e-mail asking for me to resend them, we received nothing. I made sure there were no mistakes on my end 100% before speaking out of turn.

I look here, I cant see ONE post from TV in relationship to my problem? Do you see one?

Half my order was missing. Things only half worked, then stopped working almost immediate.

Please advise as to what you think I could of done otherwise?

I am 81 yrs old. Should I have driven there to California from Canada?

My son is so mad, he is going to tear new but holes over this. he said he will make sure no one here in Canada makes the same mistake we made. I can not stop him.

My husband is 87.

Thanks TET.

This has been excellent for us. Not.

EDIT: We ordered this from them, after ready what excellent customer care they give. Iamas shocked as anyone. crying.

TV doesn't keep up on here as much as some other manufacturers. If you look at the Arizer Solo thread (another good vaporizer) Arizer doesn't even talk in there. They don't have a presence here at all. S&B from Volcano got banned from here.

As to what you could have done otherwise, perhaps not leaving nasty messages? I'm sorry you had a bad experience with TV, I haven't had that experience with them. You're not their first or second or third international customer so I'm not sure what happened. Was your package unopened when you received it? Any chances of customs having moved stuff around or getting handsy? I'm in the same state as they are so I don't have to worry about international shipping, so I'm unfamiliar with it.

If a chargeback was what was required, you should have just done that and left it at that. Again, while leaving a piece of your mind on the phone may be cathartic to you, it can really wear the other person out. I've had to deal with customers (face-to-face) that my manager has had to take over and told me to go take a break and relax for a bit, and that's working for a multi-billion dollar international company that has well-oiled procedures and stuff.

About your age, I don't see what it has to do with your problem? I'm not going to name names, but I do believe we have one member that's got a few years on your husband that's close with the company, so I don't think they're discriminating based on age or anything?

Your son is mad, he'll probably call Zippy/Zeffy (his name is Zeki, by the way) and tell him how terrible everything is, but it won't really accomplish anything at this point. You had a bad experience, I understand that, but yelling and making a fuss isn't going to fix anything anymore. It's unfortunate to hear of their lost sales, but these things do tend to happen. Lots of folks here have good things to say about the company and their products so I think I feel comfortable saying it was an isolated incident, or at least not the kind of customer service that most of us have grown to know.

In any case, best of luck with finding a better forum, and in finding a better-suited vaporizer.

Very well put @Quetzalcoatl
I would suggest you give FC a fresh start as well. Trying posting a thread in the ask FC section explaining exactly what requirements you need in a vape, I'm sure you find this is a very helpful place. Honestly you will never find any other place with more collective experience in all things vapor related.

Although some companies respond to customer service problems here on FC, many do not, and others respond only to some. That's because FC is not a support platform for any company, and it can often cause more problems than it resolves. We encourage companies to respond with "Please go to our support page" rather than attempt to solve issues here.

I asked you not to post again until you had a resolution. Thank you for doing that. Now I want to remind you that the same rules still apply. We do not allow anyone to start posting repeatedly about a problem that has been resolved. TET has a good reputation for customer service but no company is perfect. Unfortunately you did not get the service you expected, but you have taken action and there is nothing more to be said.

You announced you would leave FC once you had a resolution. I hope you'll reconsider that but if you do stay, let this particular issue rest.

Lets give em the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe the phones and email have been down for 6 weeks.

All is well that ends well. TET has the highly regarded vape back, we got our money back, have had a good working vape for the last 4 weeks, and my Son is sitting here smiling and waving to Zippy or whatever his name was.

All the best.

Mod pakalolo if I request an account closure, does my post stay?

If they do stay, can you kindly close my account here? Thank you.

Please harbor no hard feelings toward TET or this forum. I have visited TET's facility and they have been nothing but professional and more. These people care about their customers. It is, however, a relatively small operation that literally hand makes and repairs their products, in my experience for free, when I had no expectation of that level of courtesy. Zeki is professional and always helpful, and has never failed to respond to my emails promptly. Wires might have gotten crossed between Cali and Canada, but I think TET recently announced a discount for Canadian customers to help offset shipping and duty charges. They bend over backward to do the right thing. TET are standup folks and I think you should cut them some slack. But if you can't get past this unfortunate incident, go in peace and good luck.

We don't really close accounts. We do not remove posts for the same reason we do not allow members to delete posts: it would result in threads with confusing holes in the discussion. It would also pose a problem with the handling of posts by others who quoted you. If you really want to leave FC—and again I hope you would reconsider—all you need do is not visit.

Great Scott!
So how many bowls per battery do you guys get? I feel like my cera LL cart is steadily loosing power, even with brand new batteries.

The last time I sent it to thermovape I got it back a week or so later without any explanation of what was changed. The bowl was still "dirty" in the same areas that it was when I sent it. I really don't think they did anything other than plug it in, see it glow a bit and ship it back. Its not that it doesn't work, because it does, but I've heard of people combusting in the LL by accident. Even with the dryest weed, full or loose packs I can't make that happen. I've tried really really hard too. I think my cart is just weak as hell now, and I don't want to pay to send it in only to get it back without any changes again.

I've actually been considering getting a different portable herb vape to replace it, but if it functioned the way I expected it to after being "repaired" once before I'd be plenty happy with this vape.

Anyone else have any experience with their LL cart simply not cutting it anymore? What do we do? I'm not buying a new cart for $100 and HOPING it is better and doesn't seemingly run cooler and cooler over time. Any suggestions? I really loved it when it had more balls, but even when my cart was new I couldn't get it to combust (not that I want to, just a way to judge how its not hot at all).

I had what I thought was a similar issue with an EO core recently. Initially I just thought that the heating element was getting too gunked up but it still took a long time to heat after a long ISO soak and boil. It would get warm enough after a while to make some wispy puffs but that's about it.

Eventually it dawned on me to test the core on a different body and sure enough it fired right up. Turned out to be the switch, actually. The mechanism is either not making good contact anymore or the spring became a bit too compressed over time. With everything else the same, I could just swap out switches, one would work great and the other was just bunk.

That all may be unrelated to your issue but it might be worth testing the other components if you haven't done already.
