Vapes on Planes - Traveling With Vaporizers

I also going to be traveling with the solo and new stem next month, I would like to know exactly how people are cleaning there so there is no smell? I worried about the heating chamber possibly givving of some smell

I second! How do you guys clean your solos before flying?

I'd say that's landing on the wrong side of smart. I cant even count the number of times I've come back from a trip (all domestic) to find a card in my checked luggage basically saying "Hi, we went through your bags just because. Regards, The TSA".

Indeed. People non-stop hot boxing airplanes for hours with cigarettes coupled with rampant sexual discrimination against the (all female and under 28) flight attendants. Ahhh, those were the days.

From all that was said they aren't busting you for herb on planes or tsa. The solo itself is a legal device.

I just flew back with 2 grams of wax, dirty solo and stem in chrcked bag, I should have cleaned the stems with Alcohol but I ran out of time and said fuck it

Has anyone on here actually been busted for flying with a vaporizer?

Hey guys, long time lurker here, first time poster. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to get the Firewood 2.0, thing's perfect for my needs. What I wanted to know was, can it be cleaned 100% for going on the plane? I know if I toss it in my carry on it probably won't get a second glance under the x-ray, but I don't want to take any chances.

Honestly I went through TSA with the Pax and the Solo in my bag, both dirty, no issues what so ever.

I bring my cleaned space case to and fro all the time no issues. This is from any of the NJ/NY airports to Chicago though, keep in mind all airports I use could be considered major airports. I feel they don't have the time to take just to scrutinize over a vape. I have brought glassware through airports as well but those were 100% clean.

I have yet to have an issue travelling with either the Pax or the Solo and I have gone through airports multiple times with both clean/unclean.

Carry on or checked? Separate from meds or together?

I always bring it in a backpack for carry on. I'm a white male college student. I have never really had airport issues in general. I don't bring any herb with me ever. Not worth it. Plus I can usually get some where-ever I am going.

I thought the batteries in the carry on scanner would be an issue so that is good news. Thanks.

Li-ion batteries that aren't installed in a device are not allowed in checked baggage. I brought home four last summer so I looked up the rules. I had mine in the bag with my computer and they did not cause any trouble.

Great info paka thanks. I guess that is why my sons bag always gets gone through. The tooth brush batts and the cam batts even if installed I guess will still be considered loose so they check them. Last time both bags were gone through so I asked him where the stuff was and of course one in each bag..........kids lol.

I would never risk bringing my MFLB on a plane. Until the day my medicine is fully legalized, ill be fine traveling with some CLEAN rolling papers. One day, maybe traveling with a vaporizer won't be so taboo and illegal.

When I went to Jamaica last year, switching back to combustion for the trip was the worst part, it left me feeling like I had a horrible head cold the entire trip. I was so stuffed up I couldn't smell the lush greens or the clean sea, and it blocked a lot of the smells and tastes of foods. It was very unsatisfactory, I spent the whole time wishing I had tried to bring my pax.

So this year I had two trips planned, and I decided to try bringing my pax. On the first trip, from Toronto to Florida, I was called into secondary security and made to wait quite a while, but I knew it had nothing to do with my pax, as I hadn't even checked my luggage yet, and since I never bring anything illegal with me, I had an easy wait. The brownie I had in the taxi to the airport probably helped with that too. The pax was sparkling clean with the battery completely drained and packed in with a mix of other small electronics and feminine products, (just for the wtf factor), and the mouthpiece was in my carry on, and both parts came though without a problem. On the way back, from the US to Canada, again it was sparkling clean and drained and the two pieces traveled separately and had no problem crossing the border.

Next I went back to Jamaica, and this time no security detention, and again, no problem traveling with a clean pax with the parts separated. Also this time, my friend brought her pax too, packed the same way. It was much better vaping than smoking, I wasn't sore and snotty, and the high was far more satisfactory than the last time. Coming back, I again consumed a potent snack on the way to the plane, (thank you Rastas!), and I washed that snack down with an extra strong tea brewed by the Rastas. Which is why, after doing a less than spectacular job of cleaning them both, I forgot to separate mine and put half in my checked luggage. I didn't realize until it was too late that my entire pax was in my purse, at least the battery was drained and the mouthpiece wasn't attached so it couldn't accidentally turn on.... And of course, my pax and I made it through security and customs no problem, (mon).

I have to say, I would travel with it again anytime, it makes a great traveling companion.

Would it be even easier to travel with a wax only pen? Like an Omnicron? I figure if I clean the KISS cart with ISO it'll be fine for my trip to Colorado. Not sure If I want to risk bringing my e nano or space case.

IMO there is a massive difference between domestic and international travel. I flew international with a solo as well as domestically (not USA) without issue. I actually flew domestically with some super smelly dank as well. It was all in check in luggage and no problem.
IMO a fake pax is the perfect travel vape. Small and hard to identify and no big deal if it happens to be confiscated.

It's going to be very tempting not to bring any bud back from Colorado, it's so much cheaper and better there.

Might as well vape on a plane, what are people going to think "Hmm it smells like someone is growing weed on this plane" Most people have no idea what a vape is or how it smells compaired to smoking.

I will be taking my Persei/Hercules sr-71, KISS carts(brand new), the Core(so I don't need extra batteries), and more than likely a VXH Cloud to Denver HTCC. Persei/Herc can be 100% cleaned with iso and torch parts that can't. I keep my Cloud pretty damn clean day-in, day-out anyway, so that will be easy. International travel, well outside my scope of knowledge, but I would be too afraid of ending up a modern era "Midnight Express" to take vape out of US.

Doesn't sound like a good idea to me as you would be putting yourself at the mercy of a bunch of brain dead government goons. You might get through, and you might not. You might be detained and miss your flight. Anything could happen.

I just vape for pain relief. I fly to the west coast at least once a year & was wondering if edibles would be easier to take for a 1 week trip. Any thoughts?

The way your body metabolizes edibles is very different. Whereas a vape high will last for a couple hours, you'd be under the influence with edibles for around 5 hours or so. YMMV of course, but I dont think I'd want to do nothing but edibles for a week.
