Arizer Solo

Just bought my 3rd Solo. Had to wake and bake with blunts over the w/e :spliff:.

Chose it against all the other portables on value, no offense but no portable is worth over £150. Pn Pro nearly got the nod

blunt W and B, verses, Vapor W and B: Like them both :), vapor has a cleaner effect, smother, a little less harsh.

For those using an F-BOMB or something similar with a gong. do you prefer a PVHES shorty turbo or non turbo Gong? Reason being is that planetvape it out of regular shorty gongs but they have shorty turbo gongs. I was hoping to pull the trigger today.

Still waiting for my warranty replacement Solo from ebay vender; should be here by friday.
Meanwhile I've been seeing more of an old friend:

I would never part with the EQ as it is a heavy hitter with many advanced features and a great Solo backup device. Had it for over three years. The PWT works great with the EQ as well as Solo. The tube fits perfect without adaptors. Have used several small camera bags and Gameboy pouches for Solo storage and transport. Nice and stealthy.

Hey so my solo (M1D) just arrived and is charging for the first time, but i have a question about inserting the stems for the first time, as mine dont seem to go in really at all. How far down are they supposed to go in? it really seams like mine just dont fit into the slot no matter how much force is applied. Its not even like theyre loose, they just dont seem to be fitting in at all.

Also side note question, the instruction manual said it cant be used while charging with the adapter it comes with, that i'd have to buy a new adapter. Which sounds pretty ridiculous, why would they not include the correct adapter if M1D is supposed to be able to be used while charging? I guess i can find this out when i turn it on, but just curious if anyone could explain that more to me.

thanks guys!

Your stems will fit easier , once the Solo is heated .
And get looser over time , you insert the stems all the way down until it touches the oven .

They may not have updated the manuals , like you said try it
and see .

Report back on your experience , if you can ...

Mine is also a M1D, my stem went in really hard at first, let it heat up, then try gently to insert, mine took a few days of heavy use before I was able to insert my stems.
My instructions also say you can't charge and use, but you can! I assume Arizer has overlooked changing the instructions.

Thanks for the help, must've been good advice because i am feel great right now. Let the unit heat up to 7 until auto shut-off (also to burn out some of that plastic/rubbery smell in the beginning) then loaded a pretty small bowl and the stem slipped right in perfectly. Heated up to 3 to start with, and was able to share 6 nice hits, then up to 4 for like 1.5 more. Looks pretty nicely evenly browned. Easily trounces my T1. Guess this little guys a keeper...

hey just an update : Randy from PUI has been pretty on point, shipped back my defective m1d2 that I had bought Jan 1st and he sent out a new one same day he received it. Said its a new solo that has a new update. Wonder what this update could be(hopefully not cause my solo to turn defective haha)? Also wondering if the model # will be diff than m1d2. Guess I will update you guys on sat.

What I like about the Solo thread, if a member has a problem with their unit everyone is so helpful in trying to help solve issues in a positive way. I don't see folks attacking Arizer if they didn't like something about their units, or if they are having issues with the new model Solo and needed to send it back.

It's like Christmas when you get a new vape, how disappointing when something happens and you have to pack it up and send it back, pay for shipping and waiting......You guys take it in stride.

I read some pretty unhappy folks early on. That was in the beginning when Arizer was getting the bugs worked out.

it's nice reading through this thread a lot of positive energy. Thanks for the help and sharing.

Here the "software reset" instructions.

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/arizer-solo.3833/page-863#post-505453

I once had charging problems when i added my food saver charging base to the same plug my solo charger was in. Took the foodsaver out and everything went back to normal.

As for the solo shutting down by itself, i once had to put it on the charger(did the full charge even if it showed half full) to be able to put it back on. It shutted down by itself just a few times over 9 months and just had to put it back on the other times.

Hope my random exp sharing can get you back vaped :smug:

I want to take mine off but I am kinda OCD about it, I don't want anything falling into the chamber and I want to keep the vape complete...

If it just came off at the "arm" you'll have to remember where you put it but should be fine without it.

I am ready to order a SOLO tonight! Problem is this thread is huge, so any help will be put to a good purchase!

I live in western US, who should I buy from?
What are the recommended accessories (stems/batteries/powercords/screens?)
Any links to good directions on operating/cleaning/troubleshooting?

I know this is asking a lot, but my lungs hurt and getting a vape sooner rather than spending a week searching will be appreciated! Any links to products will help greatly, thanks in advance <3
