Discontinued Vapolution 2.0

That's what I would do, in the video they didn't use a plug. I just remembered Vapolution said somewhere to add a little moisture to the ground and make a pellet.

This thing keeps amazing me...I cant believe how many HUGE hits i can pull out of such a tiny amount of herb! Sure, my SSV w/ the screen barely covered can produce a few large, healthy hits...but this thing is just awesome efficient! Im a proud owner for sure!

I'm thinking I will call her Velma.

@Breathemetal I am glad you love your unit im sure it will continue to impress you as my unit has done for me. It is incredible the size of clouds you can pull from the little pellets making me agree with Sticks that the pellets keep more of the good stuff than ground material. The flavor and efficiency shines on this thing and it is still my favorite personal unit. Especially when doing something or watching a movie you can just pull clouds forever.. I am sure you and Velma will get along just fine..

I am finding a new love with flavor...

...this Deathstar tastes like juicy fruit!
...this Permafrost tastes like sweet earth, mmm!

Definitely my new favorite unit! I dont see how any other plug-in could replace it?
I have efficiency and flavor covered now...
I have my cloud-maker covered (SSV) even though the Vap 2 produces some nice clouds (takes slower longer draws of course)

I wish I could find a portable that tasted as good as the vap!

welcome to herbal enlightenment, @Breathemetal !

for tasty portables, my faves are the Solo, Ascent, FF (haven't tried it yet) and the Lotus (haven't tried this one, either). If you can get an Ascent that works properly it is amazing. When I first tested it I thought "this is the best taste I've had on any vape since the Vap2. is this even possible?" But why shouldn't it be...it's an all glass air path that you can throw whole nugs into if you want. None of the clouds from those units can compare to the Vap2 (maybe the solo can), but the taste gets close.

Also, try putting some herb in the SSV that you haven't ground...maybe three or four little pieces that are pulled from a whole bud that you will have to break up during the session as it gets vaped. You will see a huge improvement in taste compared to the ground bud. I just did this with my LSV two days ago and was very surprised...although my LSV setup is all glass whereas you will have some tubing in the SSV path.

Try to get a hold of a Thermovape T1, mate. I've got a Solo, and the first half a dozen draws on the T1 blow the Solo on any heat level out of the water. Don't know how it will measure up to the Vapo 2 though. Don't worry that it isn't all glass. I had a Cera too, and it made no difference for taste, in fact that you have to stir the T1 (while a bit of an inconvenience) keeps the flavour going longer. You can stir the Cera too, but it's not really built for it like the T1 is.

With the T1, you just unscrew the cap and tip the contents of the bowl into it, stir with a toothpick, than while still holding the cap upside down, screw the unit back together. The shape of the bowl and cap mean that all the herb goes back into the bowl without any bits getting squashed or lost.

Other than the T1 I hear that the Lotus is great for flavour, but I can't verify that.

Cheers
TF

Self-modding thread. I like that.

FWIW, the T1 has good clean flavor and all, but IMO the Vapo2 is clearly tastier.....and you don't have to work for it like you do with the T1.

:peace:

You're getting me very excited about getting a Vapo 2, Stu. Sadly, it won't be for a while as I don't want to sell either my T1 or Solo in order to be able to afford/justify it at this point.

One thing I'm interested in knowing about the Vapo 2 is how long the flavour lasts for. On the T1 and Solo the flavour is gone long before the vapour runs out. For example, on the T1, I would say that only the first 5 hits give good flavour. The next 5 are acceptable and after that I'm only vaping on if the tight-arse in me is in the driver's seat. I can get 30 hits of vapour that is easily visible in daylight and a few more wispy ones that still medicate effectively (battery changes are necessary of course). Does the Vapo have a better ratio of flavour hits to medically effective hits or is this just an inescapable problem in vaping flowers?

Cheers

One thing I'm interested in knowing about the Vapo 2 is how long the flavour lasts for.

As with all vaporizers, the flavor turns after the first few hits as the load gets cooked. The longer you leave the load in the chamber, the worse the flavor is going to get as the load will continue to cook slowly between hits (if you leave the stem inserted, of course).

if you leave the vapo at seriously about 9 o clock you get very little conduction/radiant heat and doesnt cook off and keeps the flavor for about the first 5-6 draws vs about 3 tasty rips anything over 11 oclock

I like 9:00 when I just leave the unit running.

11:00 when I just want a quick session before bed time.

As long as you know your sweet spot!

I always start around 10 o'clock with the Vapo. Like you said @Goodlife101 the first 1/2 dozen hits are amazing, then I bump it up to Noon to finish off and get max extraction.

Am I odd in that I LIKE the flavor of well baked herb ? I mean I actually look forward to the change of the taste throughout a session and the subtle change of flavor from hit to hit, It's a big part of what I love about vaporizing.

Yeah honestly I became pretty fond of the ABV flavor/smell when i converted from combustion... I was used to the first hit out of a piipe tasting good and then the rest tasting like ash all the way to the bitter end.. I think the last or "worst", but last applies better, in my vapolution tastes 100x better than the second+ hit out of a pipe. So I don't mind the cooked flavor of vape at all im right there with you @RUDE BOY

I thought itd turn black because i turned up the dial to about 1 30 but it stayed a nice dark brown because of all the extra goodness! idk what vape I have rolling this thing is now a must attachment for all of them. next time ill try and make a vid if I can it was seriously crazy

Wow, I can't believe I was looking for a good cheap desktop vape and missed this one with all its great reviews. Anybody know if it's meant to use hash also, and/or has problems with it? Any cons you've experienced? It seems like a great buy for the price! If anyone knows any international shipping deals...:brow:

EDIT:

Found the FC offer at the beginning of this page... sounds great, but I read this:

We do ship worldwide, but outside the USA, shipping is $25 for Priority Mail and $35 for Express Mail.

The website is trying to charge me $40 or $60 for shipping respectively! :(

That used to be the cost to ship outside the USA. I guess we forgot to update that. Shipping cost have risen as time has past. Look up on USPS for yourself what a 3lb package cost to ship to you from 95926 USA. I can assure you we are not making money on the shipping cost. I will update the website to reflect current pricing. Sorry for the confusion.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
So I guess I must be the only one who uses this thing at full blast.

I start out at 12 - 1 and finish on full blast. Never combusted.

I don't save my abv, so I insist on getting everything I can from my herb.

I hang out around noon unless I want some flavor and then I go down to about ten.

So a friend of mine called last week and wanted to get a first vape. I recommended the Vap2 and met him at the lhs where I knew there was one stocked. He picked it up and I followed up with him for a couple of days as he was getting used to it. Last night I went over and there were four of us rocking two VAP2's. He was drawing too hard like most smokers do and I expect next time I see him he will be a master of it. We packed about four or five stems and he whipped out some liquid pot (that's what he called it...some sort of concentrate in a dropper). We put some of that on the herb in the middle of the pack. We passed that one stem around twice and none of us could see straight before the stem was done.

We got at least two others interested in vaping, and I hope they want a VAP2. The price ($150 at the lhs) never turns anyone off! Anyhow, it was my first in-person training session for someone I recommended a vape for and it was a blast. Glad I recommended this one! All you guys having the same experience as myself with it made me very confident in the recommendation.

Snapshot of the Vapoution is, I love it. Very versatile in my opinion. I can pull a "quickie" by preheating it, then dropping to twelve. I take a couple of hits, crank it up a little for another hit. Just too make sure the bowl is done. I can get to a comfortable and relaxed state from three hits.

Or I can do what I just did. Take a couple of low temp hits around 9-10, relax a bit. When I come back I turn it to just below twelve and raise it until it's finished. Nice uplifting buzz topped off with a mellow somewhat couch locked state.

Its a great product for the price. Wouldn't reccomend it for groups but its a great personal vape. I usually just let my buddies hit the solo.

Last thing. I load one long pullet and use a paper clip to push the pellet up. Take hits breathing through the nose like using a mflb. That's my method at least.
