Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Gentle cow vaper and halloween kiddo
...
Happy to say that they have arrived in customs and we are just waiting for it to clear!!!!

OmG flashback.. last time I heard this words in Benin Cotonou International Harbour about 20 years ago and later we were able to retrieve an empty BMW M5 chassis instead of the expected whole car from a container... :spliff: :peace:

Back on topic: I wonder if my future EVO will make my mind fly as much as current vapes do now or more :science:

All my days in a daze...
I am having visions... possibly dreaming while in a fugue state... I'm seeing... 220v EVOs hitting the website in a few weeks... along with the Swagger ratchet sidecar HT as an option... and my credit card leaving scorch marks as it explodes forth from my wallet with a bittersweet KABOOM as I'm reminded of the sweet sound I'll hear when the EVO slams me upside the head and the bitter sound I'll hear when my head hits the floor after fainting at the sight of my credit card balance... and maybe also of the painful sound I'll hear when my wife gets in one little kick to the side of my head while I'm down to express her displeasure with my latest 'do it now, inform & apologize later' spending.

Maybe you guys can post some rebuttals in that thread? While I can understand some of his frustration, ultimately, we try to work with everyone as much as we can.

Already on it. His actual website doesn't really provide an easy way to respond to him, so I left a message on his Cloud review.

It's weird. I was reading comments on the video review and he states in one of them he won't recommend the OG Cloud anymore since VapeXhale discontinued it. Fair enough, but he seems to view VapeXhale overall based on this one unit.

Then again, this is also a guy who makes some pretty ridiculous comparisons with the Cloud and other vapes (comparisons that don't really work) so maybe talking reason with him is pointless.

Oh well, I do what I can to spread the good word of the EVO. Literally everyone I've shown it to, from the biggest dabbers to the dirtiest combusters, loves this thing.

It's just unfortunate that his site receives so much attention. He's one of the top results when you get when you google search "vaporizer reviews".

It's really too bad. In spirit with this website, maybe the vapes he recommends are his favourites. With that said, he sure likes to advertise his favourites...and discredit anything that isn't one of them.

He is just good at marketing himself, fair enough I guess. And true, he may just be a really big fan of the Volcano, but a good reviewer has to stay as objective as possible.

There is a huge industry built around gaming the google search.

Bleacher Report is the world's worst sports "website" of all time, and it's always the #1 hit for sports shit. (until recently their method was partially blocked by tweaks)

It was so bad there is actually a bunch of work instructions on how to block Bleacher Report hits on google searches. If only we could do the same for schill sites

I think people like him because he's presentable, he's been around for longer than most, and he's articulate enough to sound like he knows what he's talking about. As opposed to most of the noobie reviewers that seem to have trouble editing extra crap out of their videos, or even stringing a proper sentence together.

I was watching Vapecritic videos trying to find something good, after looking through some of the more recent reviews I was convinced that the Plenty was amazing. Looking pretty much anywhere else than Vapecritic reviews lets you know that the Plenty is far from amazing. The way he praises the Volcano and the Plenty could make you think he's payed to. Needless to say I'm sticking to FC forums now.

Also, and sorry if this is a common question, but is there any word on EU-versions of the Cloud Evo? I definitely want one. Seems like an amazing purchase at $449.

I'm not saying one way or another but if you check the plenty thread here, it seems like folks are quite happy with it. Things aren't as black and white as they seem sometimes and this is a shade of gray.

That is true, it's probably not a bad unit. But from what I read after I watched Vapecritic review it I wouldn't think it was anywhere near as amazing and perfect as he made it out to be. It just seems to me like he pushes the Volcano and Plenty way too much. But you're right, we're working on the gray-scale here and the Plenty is probably perfect for some of us. :)

There wouldn't be a problem in him being a fan of the Volcano units. His favorite portable is the PAX. PAX+Volcano are like my nightmare setup. If i wanted the worst experience from the biggest amount of money that is what i would get. But regardless of his awful vape choices, they are his alone.

The problem is: he reviews vaporizers. He is the farthest from an objective and imparcial reviewer. And he seems very much in their pocket which makes matter worse.

Plus, those glasses are ridiculous. For the sunglasses alone, he should be censored from youtube. haha. :D

I'm not a fan of the pax either, but it's a huge seller like the volcano used to be.

Honestly, I don't really want to derail this thread even more, and I may get a slap for saying this, but these forums aren't the greatest source of objective reviews either.

He is every right entitled to his own opinion and to post it for a website. I believe he lives in NY which is a state that has no legal way of obtaining marijuana so that's probably why he wears the sunglasses.

Some people have had great experiences with VapeXhale and others have not. Sad to say, that's the way it is. Not every customer will be happy with the fact they had to pay to upgrade to Cloud+ for extended warranty, and now pay again if they want a working unit. VapeXhale has not stated whether or not they will suspend your warranty until it works out, and litigation can take years, so by the time they resolve it, you may be out of warranty.

To put this thread back on track, my Cloud EVO is amazing still. Sometimes I experience some weirdness, today it flashed red for a second. And my LED doesn't alternate between Red / Green it's more like green / amber (red and green LEDs on at the same). It's weird, but doesn't affect anything.

And I'm pretty sure the whistle definitely has to do with ELBs. My old ELBs no whistle. New ELBs and I got the whistle. I'm almost 100% positive it has to do with ELB size. But that's just my theory.

I still have yet to use a vape even close to the Cloud EVO. But, of course, I have not tried many. But the Cloud EVO is leaps and bounds above anything in my collection.

He has the right to do everything he wants. The problem is not wearing sunglasses. I was making a joke on his awful taste in sunglasses, as well as vaporizers.

And imo FC is the most reliable place to see good reviews. You just have to choose who you can trust, and when to minimize what is being said comparing to your own experience.

I don't like people who do what he does. He poses himself as a reliable source of information and he isn't. He cheats people.

I'll stop, sorry for the prolonguing the derail.

I recently had to swap out a highly restrictive bamboo in my Fanatic Evo, the replacement bamboo VXL sent me was much more open and easier to draw, however, it whistles loudly when I pull through it without an ELB, just holding it in my hand. Contrary to the restrictive bamboo where no matter what the draw speed I cannot get it to whistle. That said, after I loaded the new bamboo with a charged ELB and used it, I find I don't have to hit it as hard as it takes to make the whistle in the first place.

I want to thank you for sharing with us on the Beta Test Crew a "peek" at that process. I feel much more connected to my vape now. Its people like you, and there are many others there, that make the investment in the beta community so worthwhile for me . . . :)

As far as the bamboo, I cleaned mine for the first time and it was very easy. I used an alcohol prep pad with my HoneyBun and it wiped clean pretty quickly. Mind you it was filthy because I was trying to soil it. Anyways, it cleaned much more easily than previous models. The whistle on mine happens at a certain "resonance" or draw speed combined with ELBs, glass, everything in the path effects it. I believe this is when the best extraction is happening after the load has been heated to "give" point . . .

I feel I get WAY better extraction when there is no whistle.

The variance of glass and personal experience is going to make these reports anecdotal at best. I am not trying to set a standard or anything because I don't think you can when we get into this much detail. I was merely hypothesizing on the idea that when you are "roasting" a load, the sonic vibrations combined with the vacuum in the "system" might "wring" a bit more out of your medicine at a lower temperature. This is totally subjective and I am probably wrong.

This is my hypothesis as well - the good news is, testing these theories are fun!
