Discontinued The Sublimator

Apparently it can do dabs anywhere in the red spectrum. But I usually crank it all the way to max (12). Last night I did about 6 dabs in there at 12. No residue. No drips. I was GOOOOOOOOONE..

Wow. That sounds like fun. One big one is just right for me.

Get 1lb, should be around $10. It should last a long time and it's good for other things too. I usually fill a loaf dish with boiling water, mix in a teaspoon of pbw and place the stem and atty in the bath. I usually put some extra in the atty too. A couple 5 minute washes with some scrapping in between usually gets it looking like new.

Do you leave the teflon on the downstem, and does the pbw effect it at all? Does ISO hurt it, for that matter?

Just got my grubby little paws on a sublimator, wondering a few things, hoping the subdivision can help out the new guy.

How long should I let it heat up before using it? As well, how long should I give it to cool down before packing it up? Approximately of course.

Is it a good idea to leave the sub/atomizer sitting in my glass while not in use?

Its heating up now and I'm looking forward to getting to use it.

For just herb I let mine heat up at 45 watts for about ten minutes then down to 34-36 for about 5 mins. I never really pack mine up tho but the apollo retains heat for a good lil while.

from cold, I find its best to let it have a good 20 mins to get good and hot, equalized on the atomizer. Mine sits on my glass all the time with no issues. I prefer 30-32watts for my herbs, if you have a watt reader, it helps get that dialed in.

Alright, well then it's about ready. Just getting ready to use it for the first time. Going to put on some classic rush and get detached and subdivided.

I can't believe nobody has posted this song in the thread already.

Is that yours Derrick? How's it hit?

Just vaped some over dry flowers. At least what I consider. It made for much darker ABV and gave me a fuller extraction at the same wattage I've been using. Give it a try.
It is mine ! Was really surprised to see my local shop helped me out ! Enrico was in town :)

Just over here subbin love y'all

Hey FC,

Thank you for the response on the XLR2.0 we've tried to make a few short videos covering some short key points. Please let us know what other points you would like covered and we will make sure to have that done for you.

As for those of you who purchased your Sublimator's that were promised the "moon tool" we are working with Planet Vape to make this happen. It would not be possible without them and we are extremely grateful to them for their help.

Thanks again FC, Keep on Subbin it.

For Dabs I crank my OG Sub all the way up too! But lately I have been experimenting.. Question - What temps are Sub E-Nails? What temp is my Apollo at cranked fully Up? What temps are domeless nails after being torched red hot?

This is looking inside the Appollo, where the dabs go I want to know exactly how hot that red dot is when your Sub is cranked up to full power and how many watts are you getting mine says 49.6 all way up...... I temped it at 475deg with my laser therometer as it was getting hot but then above 500 I get an error ... Anyone have a better reading?

but for for flowers..... well.. I want the exact point where my flower is completely vaporized in one hit without burning and this new control box doesn't seem to mark that exact spot to me... Four green lights show a range for flowers not an exact spot..

The wheel on the OG box barely had to be nudged before it would change a watt or two... So I cant see how these lights are an improvement.. A good dial with numbers and lines so you could see minor adjustment would have been better imo

This is the Flower range on the OG box, I wonder if the new wheel is as sensitive? It doesn't matter, cause I think most of us scientific stoners like to know exact numbers.... not look at lights..

There are only two tiny green marks on my wheel so this 27.1 to 34.8 is from one side of one dot , to on the dot, to slightly past the dot.... lol

Even with the new control box I think I'd want a watt meter, I think. Or you can always just mark exactly where you like you Knob set, just like the OG box.

After talking with my Pops he says the new controll box is not 110 volt so there is another power box .... So he was thinking if the power box is getting plugged into the watt meter then you will see no change on the watt meter when you turn the control box up or down... hmmmm We will have to wait to confirm this... but if it were true that would not be good imo..

Hmm? what is this BS I hear about Enricho not showing up here cause this thread doesn't have the "Beyond Vaporization" attached to it? Really? Say it aint so!...... What other forums are talking about the Sub? Anyone over there in charge of marketing? lol... more on that later...

My Original Sublimator ( it's new name ) has a modified 12ft cord going to the control box that is out of the way over by the watt meter plugged into a power strip on my desk.... Way better and not so prone to be in the way.....

I like the Sublimator cause it does it all Cannabis, Kief, Hash, Wax, Shatter, Keep On Subin it!!

Fuck maybe that rambeled on but I felt like sayin it...

Might want to avoid cranking it up full blast. Supposedly that is what caused the wattage problems on the original Sublimator.

Yeah I hear ya- the light that burns brightest wont burn as long....... sorta thing

So what is a good wattage to dab at? I actually been setting it about 47 lately but that is not much less than full power.

My titanium dabmaster is in my possession. Bout to have an epic sesh, might pass out, but I'll come back on later today to compare to the OG apollo. Bout to Sub it up!!

Ok sooooo.
HOLY FUCKIN' SHIT BALLS, BATMAN!!!

The dabmaster looks, feels and performs like a champ. I cranked it all the way up to clean the oils off and then turned it down to 5 for flowers. This comes in at 35.5 kW. Perfect!!! AVB came out like golden brown and the pull was incredibly smoother. I assume it is due to the increase in airflow probly created by the ridge for the dabs. Either way, a .1 blew me the fuck away. Somehow the flavor has increased dramatically as well with the titanium unit. This unit now feels much more like a professional, mass marketed machine now rather than a sorta prototype feel of the OG apollos. The dial is supper accurate as to the wattage adjustment. Each number on the dial has two clicks of the dial so you can pretty much put it on any wattage you would like. Each click goes up 1 watt and makes it incredibly convenient to find the correct temp because the wattages are exact according to the numbers on the dial so every time you turn it to that number, it will be the EXACT temp and wattage that you desire to get the perfect pull every single time.

The cord from the actual unit to the control box is the same length but since the box doesn't weigh as much as the OG box, it doesn't seem to be in the way as much, or at all really. I can't get over how much better this version is than the original. Even with my exact dialed in temp on the OG sublimator, I tended to have to adjust the dial a lil every sesh to get the sweet spot. Not anymore!!!

Now to get to the good shit..

DABSSSS!!!!

The level of medication delivered through the dabmaster is unmatched by any other titanium nail you will ever dab off of. The holes on the side are smaller than the original Apollo but the you just place the dab on the ridge around the holes which results in zero dripping of reclaim into the bowl or onto the bottom of the dabmaster. The taste of my concentrates has been brought to full force with this bitch. No joke, some of the tastiest vapor to ever enter my lungs.

Now for all those with OG units trying to decide whether or not to upgrade, if you have the money, DO IT! I wouldn't go as far to say that it's a must, but you will not regret it at any point. From the control box, to the detachable heads, to the titanium taste upgrade,
THE DABMASTER 2.0 is the beezneez. Item number 9. Haha

Bout to pop my base launcher into the freezer, take a nap, wake up, take SUBZERO dabs and watch grandma's boy!!

Cheers

PlanetVape has a sale on this atm, and the Limited Edition Kit at 560CAD looks pretty sweet.

If I bought this, would I be as amazed as I think I would? Is it easy to use? It does look somewhat complicated. Are you good to go with just the Sublimator or do you need any accessories?

Edit: Looks like there's a 2.0 version out, definitely not as affordable. Would it be dumb to go for the older one?

Personally, I wouldn't go for version 1. The unit you get may be fine, but a few of us with version 1 have had issues and I am not sure if they ever improved on it outside of creating a new version. I would save up for 2.0 if you can.

For what it's worth, once i did the warranty exchange from my sub 1.0 to the timer box version I have had 0 loss of wattage. :2c:

I think it's a crapshoot, unless Sublimator can confirm they made changes on Ver 1.0.

On another note, is it just me, or is the upgrade path a little bit confusing? I don't really understand why it costs so much more for the no downtime option? I also find it a bit funny that they are willing to cover return shipping for the upgrade, but not warranty work??

I hadn't noticed, i didn't really check out what the upgrade deal was, just what was posted here or whatever.
