Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Sinclue

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Well, that sure sucks.

I would expect that a generator would now be at the top of their shopping list. Honda makes an excellent series of small and very quiet generators (1000w) that can be tied together for more power. Full tank runs 4+ hours. I camp off the grid a fair amount and although I'm primarily set up with solar I still carry my trusty little Honda just in case.

We'll get them next time when the EVO has been in steady production and has had a chance to spread around the world!

I typically stay dormant on the forums, however I had an experience a few nights ago that's definitely worth a share:

Great story, but you'd better hope no OKC cops happen to hear about it as you've provided enough info about yourself and your activities to probably get you the death penalty in OK.

He hasn't. I looked at his YouTube review comments and he seems to have no interest in doing the $250 upgrade.

I mean, he gets an EVO for $250. That be like Microsoft giving you a discounted Xbox One for having a red ringed 360. He doesn't ever mention the difficulties VapeXhale has faced or how they are still trying to figure out this shitty situation.
The biggest problem with it is his website and reviews receive a fair amount of traffic. It's just unfair how he rips on them and seems to provoke others to do the same.
I am sure SM55 will proceed to make a comment about our experience this weekend, ASAP but as acting trade show Director I figured I would provide you guys mine

First the facts, of the 16 hours at this trade-show we were down a total of 8 hours (2 hours the 1st day, 5 hours the 2nd day)

On the first day I Arrived a the event at 8:00 AM on Friday the 6th, per usual to configure the VapeXhale booth and to double check everything. Our booth draws a lot o Amp's and wattage in comparison to others and I always remind High Times of this fact (never an issue in the past) but seemed to be a devastating issue this weekend.

Sadly on the 1st and 2nd day we barley had power which limited our ability to effectively run our booth or demonstrate our product. While this has led to a lot of frustration by everyone at VapeXhale, I need to thank @Stu , and my team for demonstrating resolve, and ability to allow our misfortunes not get the best of us and make the absolute best of what cards we were dealt regardless of them being fair or unfair.

At these Cannabis Cups's the voting begins on Sunday at
noon ending shortly around 6 PM During Sunday's portion of the trade-show we were without power for almost the entire day (it was finally fixed around 5 PM) 1 hour before the voting ended. Even with the unfair time schedule Ben, Bryan, Seibo, Stu, Brittany, Brianne all poured there hearts and souls into making the most out of that last Hour. The realist in me knew we had no chance, but I couldn't help but feel happiness knowing that our team came to execute and if given the proper resource we paid for could have easily taken home out 3rd 1st place title.
After all of the downs' of the past 12 month's I don't think I ever obsessed more on a project like planning this years LA Cup, it was planned to be our comeback show, our statement show, our redemption experience, instead it turned out to be very painful and unfair.

We will press on, but sometimes thinks just go wrong. The best test if you have the right crew is how the respond to the unexpected or the worst case scenario.

VapeXhale will lick its wounds and we will be back to try again in Denver. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for us because that would only apply if we put on a performance that was subpar to our previous Trade show success.

I truly believe that situations like this will drive better outcomes by my team rather then situations that always go our way. We will never let this happen again and I want to thank everyone for the support tus far.

I can't wait to watch some of our secret concepts to come to fruition.

ON the bright side USA today quoted us, and we hope to see more coverage of this event regardless of the lack of power.

That just happened...
A few deep cycle marine batteries and a inverter and you can be energy independent. That might be something to look into?

...thanks for sharing...yeah stone monkey is quite an amazing young man...too bad lack of power (as told in evo thread by stu) denied them the opportunity to win an award at the cup...there will be other opportunities...and not a doubt in my mind they will excel....

I agree with ya Muzz, but don't you think they should just get an RV that has all that built in. I imagine some sort of luxery vapor experience would go over well at the cup. They could do some sort of VIP sessions for folks that show extreme interest after first use, really give them the full experience, possibly for a fee.
It will also dub as a party bus for when they win Denver because their stand was the only one open due to a massive power outage, and they just happened to have an awesome RV that powered enough Evo's to have the whole crowd walking sideways.
Anyway, back to reality...

@stonemonkey55 and @Troi as I have said my services are always available. Now that's the last time I'll say it because I'm starting to sound like a broken record.

roll the ELB gently along your counter edge, pressing gently with your fingers. The rim is hanging over the edge. put a little bit of pressure on the bottom corner, but not much, as you roll. This should help with snug fits.
good suggestion. I tried one of my new ELBs last night. It was STUCK. I really thought I was going to break something getting it out. The lid to it was so loose it fell off in baggie.

I have a question. I don't know what everyone is talking about when they say bamboo.

The glass that goes through the unit is molded to look like a bamboo Shute

My soon to be in-laws are smitten with their new EVO to say the least! Had introduced them to my + about 2 weeks ago, and they instantly placed an order for an EVO. Yesterday was our vape play date and un-boxing. I had ordered them a 15' and a 6' flat power cord for multiple rooms because they like to move around. Thank you to whoever posted up the links on both of those, they are great additions. After explaining the ability to load your ELBS for future use (which as older medical patients is huge), glass water level, and how the device works we got into a session:

Her father loves the ability to get his low-temp taste/active buzz going, and she loves to turn it up to 3 and get cloudy. Her father has chronic cluster headaches, and has been combusting for god knows how long, and I am interested to see if his clusters are reduced due to moving toward vaping. He took a nice long hit at 12 PM and got nice blue vapor! He was astounded by the taste and sat back to wait for the buzz to kick in. After about 5 minutes he started elaborating on how he was feeling and said multiple times how nice of a head buzz it was. So clear headed.

Her mother then blasts it up to 3, waits for the light, and gets a nice thick hit. Not white walled but nice and thick. I think we would need to let it soak for another 5 min after the light turns green to milk it up..
She exhales a nice fatty plume and mentions how she has no need to cough.

It was then they decided to place another order for an EVO at the beach house.

Anyway, they are in love, at every angle. I called to check up on them this morning to see if it worked how they wanted it to last night, and the first thing she says when she answers the phone is: "LOOOOOVE IT!"

I cant wait to place my order once I stack a little cash. Thanks again VXL and @stonemonkey55 for helping us with the ordering issues! You've gained 2 new lifetime customers!

I think I discovered the E and SEs at the top of the temp range... (reference is to the chart on vape temps), and those are intense. I've been using max to finish up my ELB before bed, and I'm waking up several hours later with intense thirst.

I'm thinking that the upper limits might be a more serious couch-lock, dry eyes/mouth effect area. and whoa, it's fun to play up here too.

The sleep is good. :)

Edit: oh, I was going to mention. I am hoping to make it to the Seattle hempfest/cannabis cup/whatever HT is calling it. I'm not pretty enough to be a booth girl, but I could sure talk up the EVO if I get a chance. :)

Regardless what any medal says, anyone that knows anything about vaping and premium vapes knows
the evo is number one and will stay number one for a long time coming, hell i don't even own my int evo yet and i know this, the factual evidence in how beastly the cloud was says enough for me, and from what i read the evo whoops that, i don't need a cup comp to sway me these vapexhale boys are the best!

Lo

Combustion free since '09
Ditto! Some awards these days really mean nothing anyhow with many being bought/paid for.

I've used a ton of vapes and the EVO is a really great vape especially for someone who appreciates glass. I know I can (and have) converted even longtime bong fans with just a rip or two off the older cloud version. Pfft! In my eyes, it is an award winning vape ;)

...thanks for the thoughtful critique stu....there will be other cups and plenty of oppurtunities for vapexhale to be recognized as the truly innnovative outfit they are...I continue to iimmesely enjoy my experience using the evo....as I did before with the cloud...

Just a story man, it was all rhetorical!

Now that I have had a full night's rest (Troi never sleeps) and some time to gather my thoughts, my impressions and opinions are still the same. While I do have a bitter taste in my mouth, High Times will neither make or break us. Based on audience feedback, I believe that VapeXhale had the Best Product and we also stood out the most during the entrepreneurship panel. One of the audience members asked me if I fear legalization as it may impact our business when big money jumps into this industry. I responded that I have no fear because this is a project of passion for me and I know that businesses/people who can throw a ton of money into a project but if they lack the passion, ultimately will not be able to create innovative products.

The High Times staff was very happy with that answer and encouraged the audience to continue to applaud my answer. I was feeling very good about how the panel went until I got a text from @Troi telling me the power had been down the entire time I was speaking. I don't mind losing to a worthy adversary but to lose to two e-cigarrette companies and a company that produced silicon pads definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Especially after the HT staff was encouraging innovation.

Regardless if we won or not, I don't believe that we will continue to do Cannabis Cups outside of the next two (which they will be comping us on) because I am losing faith in what they are doing. The first show we went to in Sept 2012 seemed to have a much more professional atmosphere where we could actually talk and educate attendees. Now it has devolved further where every booth is blasting their music as loud as possible and all you see is scantily clad women trying to get people to come to their booth. Lack of respect from the other booths was at an all time high and the HT staff did very little to make sure that everyone had a fair and equitable shake at this event.

While I can go on and on (and on and on and on) about the ineptitude of the staff working the event, that does VapeXhale no good. All I can say is that our team executed beautifully and masterfully and I am very pleased by the amount of people that came to our booth and told us that we were doing it "right". The majority of the booths looked like they wanted to be more rock star than produce innovative products and the attendees really appreciated seeing something that was NOT a nail or ecig pen. For that, we can still hold our head up high.

We sunk a huge amount of our marketing budget into this and it has put us in a strange position as a Best Product win would have been the best way to introduce the EVO to the world but as always, we have a contingency plan. We finally hired Gia full time, the girl in our original VapeXhale videos. She is going to be heading our marketing and just like we took manufacturing in house, we don't want to depend on others to help us get visibility.

Now the good stuff. I got to hang out with @Stu for the whole weekend. Previously, we got to hang out for just 1 or 2 hour increments due to our schedules. I can tell you all that he was a FUCKING ROCK STAR in the booth.

Josh from Herbalizer also came by and we had a great time discussing how our two vapes are going to change the market place. I am pleased to say that although we experienced a bunch of negatives at this event, Josh and I have started the conversation of how we can elevate the social status of this industry. I think this is very important because the HT events appear to be catering more and more to a different crowd and to put it frankly, I don't believe it puts this industry in a positive light. One only needs to read the last quote in the article from USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/02/09/marijuana-convention/5341821/) to see what kind of shit show this has devolved into but happy to see that Gia is the first photo on the page (I'm somewhere in there sporting @Vapinghole awesome polarized sunglasses) We celebrate the victories and learn from our (or other's) mistakes. Life goes on and the EVO will progress, at least I get to test our potential concentrates adapter soon.

Thanks for all the support and kind words. On one hand, it is disappointing, on the other hand, the amount of support we received for this bogus decision shows us how many lives we have positively impacted and that is what I got me started doing this in the first place.
