Grinder question......

Here's what I don't understand. Most people just sprinkle their kief on a bowl of herb. If you're gonna do that, why not just get a 2pc grinder so the kief doesn't get separated in the first place?

A sprinkle will always be more concentrated then just straight bud crystals. Some people will save 70% in for making hash, and use the leftovers to add some kick to a bowl.

i personally perfer a 2 peice grinder then one with screens. able to get as fine or coarse of a grind as you like without it falling through holes, and i myself have no need or want for a crystal screen collecting all the stuff im grinding up right now to vape! i dont want to grind and save half of it for some other time.

others may have different wants or needs but thats my side.

If you have a vape that creates wand hash you can rotate from adding wand hash on a bowl while your stock on that is up and save the kief.

When the wand hash supply is low you can let that build up and use the kief stockpile. I recommend this for people who typically use mids as for the effect is far noticeable. Where I reside I have no real control on what kind of herb is available. Its either mids or some better stuff. I only came across a strain that was remarkable once here but I used to live near Maastricht Holland so I know what top quality really means compared to what some people call top quality.

Anyways, between kief and wand hash it can really spice up an ok bowl of mids.

Kief saved is kief earned.

I let my collection of kief get so big, usually within a few weeks, I have a giant stash. Trust me, if you've never experienced the joys of vaping a bowl loaded with kief, you haven't lived man. Nothing like some fine, blonde, super tasty kief......

The 4 pc grinder with holes is much easier to use hands down. If you don't wan't to separate the crystals, just don't shake the case after grinding and you'll notice that virtually no crystals will fall through and collect at the bottom. You lose more goodness trying tap the ground herb out of a 2 piece grinder onto a hard surface, then transferring it into a container, not to mention it's awkward and messy. For a fine grind you can use a grinder like the SC Scout http://gratefulbuys.com/product_info.php?cPath=66_69&products_id=285 which has 3mm holes. Very fine grind perfect for vaping.

You can easily use a 4 peice grinder to attain whatever grind consistency you want, i have a titanium 4 peice SC.. just take off the keif plate and flip the grinder upside down and grind, the bud wont fall out of the holes obviously because the grinder is upside down.. thus continually grinding until you have decided its fine enough.

To 'kief' or 'not to kief' has already been discussed in the grinder thread. Separating the kief gives you options. Simply personal choice.
