I know that this is a real personal issue, but for me, the LAST thing I need on my LSV is a "boost" feature.

On the other hand, if a "boost feature" can milk a bong like she did and have the ABV hardly showing any signs of being vaped like it did in that vid, I'd be all over that.

But there's something about that thick milk along with the color of the ABV in the first and second hit that seems to defy the laws of physics, or chemistry, or............something. Maybe the flowers were coated in oils..........don't know, but it sure seemed pretty fucking incredible.

So this is the Majikwand people, huh? I have one of those.. its an okay piece but this item will probably have the same issues the MW did.

The glass external cover gets insanely hot on the Magikwand to the point after a while you cant even hold it except at the very top. It gets hot enough to burn you too.

Also seems a little funny that they made new names, etc to sell this. I thought it was them behind this when it was originally posted... maybe this one will be a winner and they'll actually hang around and support it. Im still missing pieces for my MajikWand that were supposed to be sent.

EXACTLY what I was feeling. That must be some magical bud or something. I mean I have a strain that will last 12 or more draws on my EVO, and another that wont go past 3.. so I know quality will have a factor, but that video showed the ABV with such a slight hue change, it SEEMS unbelievable. If its real. And just plain bud. I would be surprised but eager to buy..

Yup. I'll be REALLY interested to see if any of our beta testers here can duplicate what happened in that vid.

with use of both of the previous vapes made by this manufacter, and after viewing the video i see almost all the similar issues with previous models. i can almost gurantee, like the MW or LSV it will be very difficult to get an even and full extraction inside the bowl. nothing like having to stir over and over, flipping your screen in the process and dumping herb in your tube. end result? an uneven vape of your herb and a bunch of shitty hits that are vaping a little green, and a whole lot of untasty brown. after the first hit or two, taste will be harsh and popcorn ish.

Did you miss the HiPi banning? A new name was necessary. As for a new company, that's also a good idea if you leave customers of your previous brand in the lurch.

Im still missing pieces for my MajikWand that were supposed to be sent.
Well now you can make contact and hopefully get that resolved.

Something does irk me though. It reminds me too much of the LSV. Nothing I can't get over but the function reminds me of what I do with my LSV. Hopefully there is something in this product that differentiates itself in function. :2c:

My only gripe with the lsv is that once it arrives at thermal mass, there's no convenient/comfortable way to keep it there for an even better hit 30 minutes later. The form factor of the versas seem more like a glass log crossed with an evo to me, the main difference being these can sit safely on a tabletop unattended while the lsv cannot. I know there are light and mic stand and other homemade options, but 7th floor should really make their own vertical storage stand or wall mount because it's a great vape otherwise.

The LSV also doesn't have this.
The Venturi Effect
venturi.jpg

Our venturi effect is performed by the heating element itself. The airpath is restricted to only flow through the heating element before exiting the 18mm joint.
This effect is normally done in other ways but Versa chose the compression to happen in a heated chamber rather than before it or after it.

I have never used an LSV but from what I understand you can overwhelm the heater with a fast draw I am hoping that won't be the case with the Versa

I'd like to offer my impressions, if for no other reason than to get them out of my mind...

The initial few postings put my guard up a little. Mostly the almost immediate reaction to every suggestion was "Yes, we will do that!" Seems terribly short-sighted, and pandering. My reaction was that a real manufacturer needs a hell of a lot more R&D time, and lead time, for any meaningful changes.

Now, if "they" would have presented themselves as doing R&D, and wanted suggestions of stuff to TRY, that wouldn't have set my alarms off.
Presenting themselves as being able to so quickly make changes to something that was going to ship "soon"... hmm, nah.
Then, of course, there was the "limited" beta slots... which, as time went on, totally (un) surprisingly, more beta slots became available "act quickly, we have so few left!" this is classic sucker-hooking behavior.

What I have seen, looking at all the photos and vids, is basically a log vape. It is a pretty, glass-encased log vape, but it is a log vape. With a variable voltage regulator controlling the temp.
Making glass connector pieces that are swappable is pretty much the only "innovation" that I see. Working with the air path to provide a hotter blast on demand is cool, but not earth-shattering.

The truly disturbing thing to me, is how very quickly parts were swapped out. Along with more money-shilling (I'm not going to quote) along the lines of "as soon as we get more money pouring in, we'll get higher quality materials", then, lo and behold, there's a few more beta slots available. Meanwhile, the beta people keep waiting as, what, another bin of spare parts arrives to be pawed through for a more attractive heater cover? as promises of more "goodies" to be included grow, if they are just patient now.

I am seriously hoping, for each and every person who is launching themselves into the unknown here, that the units will end up being very nice for what they are. They won't be more than they are, but maybe the glass modules and the air path will make for a great log vape experience.

Oh, and in answer to "how do they get such great clouds?" - I'd suspect the moisture levels of whatever herb they are using. you will get more vapor off damper herb. and/or, a higher temp. You can preheat really hot, then turn the VVR down to whatever temp you want people to think you are using, and hit it quick before it cools - that will give you lots of vapor, too.

You can chill the temp on most vapes with a hard/fast draw. If all you've got is a ceramic element, what's there to maintain the temp when you draw in lots of cold air all at once?

I figured we'd see a few more people posting that they received tracking? Only 1 so far, correct? Hopefully more tomorrow.

Never had any issues with my LSV when I had one. It requires some technique to master, but I never felt I couldn't get massive clouds cause I overwhelmed the heater. Now I used with the WPA not the glass straw/tube, so I don't know that mattered.

Yeah, I never overwhelmed the heater either using either the WPA or the transfer wand but the ceramic heater rod does dim right after a hit but comes back really fast.

You certainly do NOT get more vapor from moist herbs. Why would it matter where they had the dial set?

Unless I'm mistaken the LSV only passes air around the outside of the element The Versa air goes through the middle of the heater. Which I hope will maintain heat better.

I guess I hoping the Versa doesn't require any technique to master. Maybe I'm just dreaming but we will see

Hey, I like a good cup of schadenfreude as much as anyone, but some folks in here are a little much. Trying to predict an outcome is one thing, passing off conjecture as knowledge is another, but please continue the speculation, interesting things come out of it regardless. No tracking code for me, maybe tomorrow.

Speaking of the cloud, and as a relative newcomer to these dramas, I see a lot of parallels between these two vapes with one major fork in the road: where SM owned up honestly and his customer base not only forgave, but ended up rabidly supporting him; evidently Chris took a less ethical/honest route seeking redemption for his vaporizer. Which is quite unfortunate, especially after the past astroturfing offense. They both had left their customers in an extremely difficult situation due to circumstances reportedly out of their control, but there is a lesson here and hopefully Chris has learned it this time.

Because even with the most forgiving of us,
I imagine that with a third strike he'd be out of the fc game for good :goon:!

I think mine was sent Saturday to help ease some of the potential 'this is a scam' feelings some may have had. Some will probably get their units before I do. If this turns out to be a 'glass log vape' I'll be satisfied. As you can tell from my sig, I love log vapes.

@ Lwien-- Oh God, I was just making a funny regarding comparing this to the Cloud/Evo, which users of that vape may violently disagree. A joke, sir. Mellow

Slight difference, no astroturfing. Technically this is strike three. 1- Astroturfing 2- Went AWOL 3-Versa-Hipi Omission.

And the Cloud isolates the air/vapor path from the element AND has automatic temperature regulation... neither the Versa and 7th floor products have this feature.
