So the two elb's that came with my evo worked great. But when I ordered four more, I got elbs that don't fit right. I assume they are for the old cloud? Vxc knows that all I have ever had was an evo, and the elb's they sent are either unusable or they need to be modified somehow because they are just too fat and deform when you try and push them into the evo all the way. If anybody has a solution I'm open to it.

I only have one functioning elb left that fits at this point, and it really bums me out because I just bought four extra that don't fit! Can I exchange these, are there two different sizes of elbs wtf?

@grokit ELBs are one size only. Get a vapor hose adapter or GonG and use it as a die. You can "train" your ELBs by running them in and out, kind of like breaking in a baseball glove. You may even need some lubrication, not sure. ELBs are both ductile and malleable to a certain degree but be careful . . . :)

Sorry if this was brought up recently, but I can't seem to find the latest mention of it. Where are we at with concentrate bowls? . . .

VXL is still working on the design and planning for a Q1/Q2 announcement.

As t-dub posted, sometimes they need to be trained. You can use the EVO's joint, but that is kinda risky. Better to use another GonG joint of any kind, just keep in mind that the ID of joints are not perfectly exact so it's possible for the ELB to be too loose or tight. Maybe you could take your ELB's to a LHS to find a good fitting adapter. Fwiw, my Arizer elbows work great. With my OG I got a few that were tight, I just left each of them in the adapter for a few days and that did the trick.

The Cloud Conductor
8am on the dial or at 8am this morning?

Morning. 2-3 on the dial is my sweet spot.

Next time, try HALF that much. Really.

I've taken it from MIN on the dial (seriously, I get flavor at the lowest setting), all the way to MAX, and gotten amazing flavor, great vapor, and absolute couch-lock pain elimination, with milk chocolate ABV at the end. Oh, I hit it at the lowest temp, then noon, then 3, then max. I love playing with this thing!

I have tried various load sizes. My EVO seems to work best with a 65-75% filled ELB.

Thanks guys :)
I went and checked the other three new elbs, and two of them fit as good as the ones that came with the evo. But there's another one that seems to be made to different specs, I guess it's just really loose manufacturing tolerances? I'll try the "training" tips, but the issue seems most prevalent on top where the screen material is welded/crimped to the metal ring, so it's hard to push those two in all the way.

I've had ones tough to get apart. If you can take a very thin blade (or something similar) and get it in between where top/bottom meet, then twist ever so gently to use leverage to get things moving. Has worked for me. Good luck!

That just happened...
Call me crazy but I've been using the same elbs since april 2012. Thousands of uses and not a single one of them has come apart. I have noticed the newer ones aren't quite as high quality but I've not had any of those fail either.

Having had my new EVO for a couple of weeks now, I figured it was time for a brief update...

The whistle has become a total non factor for me now. With my old ticker, I usually took strong rips to get me where I wanted to be. I started out using the EVO the same way, and that is where I encountered the whistle predominantly.

However, I have found through trial that the EVO works better for me now if I use a long slow draw. It just gets me vaked faster and stronger. Not sure why the EVO works differently than the Cloud for me...but it definitely gives me a nicer, stronger vaked session. :)

I loved/love my old Cloud...but I really love the EVO! It is without a doubt the Cloud on steroids...:o

Bravo again VXL...! :clap::tup:

Yes I agree and I think it does it at lower temps. Meaning the GonG is much cooler, less radiation and conduction than Cloud+, and the extraction "zone" seems to be much more of the ELB rather than just a slim ring.

When I first got the Evo I had trouble getting my weed barely brown at all. Now I make it dark like my Solo packs every single time, all the way through.

Guess I must be getting more used to hitting the Evo vs the old Clouds. Still kicking many asses on the daily basis.

Really love my Swagger Showercap too! Great flavor.

Here are a few short videos I shot today with my iphone from the LA Cannabis Cup.

This guy almost forgot to exhale.

I shot this video at 4:20.;) It shows more of the general mayhem that was going on all around.

:peace:
Damn I still have yet to be to a cannabis cup! Looks like tons of fun. Although I live in Wisconsin and I still have yet to be to Lambeau Field lol. So idk if I'll ever go to one. :-(

.....stu you lucky bastard...keep posting that stuff from the cup...sure our folks (vapexhale) will do well there...after having my evo for a week and a half...I've found that having my elb at half full or slightly above gives best experience..in 18 months of enjoying cloud...I've lost two elb's...one mimics the image t-dub displayed...the other was when I was too baked and thought the top was still on...rainey weekend..evo really shines....

.....nice vid. man....only thing having the devastator right at the sink brings back bad...bad memories for me...it's the sight of mines demise.....sort of like passing by where you had a car wreck...still not fully over it...
