That piece has the type of joint I associate with lower-quality pipes. However at $120 the build quality is appropriate for the price point. Check out the cheap bubbler thread, in the glass section, and you might be able to find a better value from a local/up and coming artist

The frosted part the slide sits in. Cheaper joints seem to have sharper edges and thinner walls, while a nicer joint has thicker walls and more rounded edges. It's prob hard to notice though, unless you've experienced the difference in person.

Oh true. The stemless part is pretty short from the joint to the inline too. The water will splash back into the vape or stem after every hit.

Because Chinese labor is equally inexpensive. If you paid your employee pennies on the dollar you could sell cheap goods too.
Nothing necessarily wrong with Chinese glass, just know that it's sweatshop glass.

No the exclamation was a good one.
But 063 is right, its good, inexpensive, quailty glass I don't see myself buying USA glass unless its special or actually worth the pricetag.
EDIT:
I bought a different item from the same seller, great work, perfect holes, and total ended up under 20 dollars. It would be worth the 2 week wait to save 100+ dollars.

Indeed. It ships directly from mainland China as a matter of fact, so it can take a few weeks to get to you. That being said, theres a whole thread on this specific company (and this specific bubbler, just search for D020). Basically 99% of people who bought one love it and say the quality and functionality is on par with a piece 3-4x the cost.

The irony is that said thread was started because the OP wanted to find cheap pieces which WERENT made in China because he equated all of that glass to shit quality! ...which isnt too far off base, but as you can see there are exceptions to the rule.

I'm one of those 99% I love my D020. It is actually sturdy feeling too. If this was made in America with good glass this would go for so much more. I am actually thinking about purchasing a second one to have around. It is that nice.
This piece looks like its imported - only because of the way it was put together - cheap parts - not bridged and short stem -
having said that - judging by the seal - it looks 1/2 way decent im not sure about for $120 as you can get a comparable tube w/ better build quality elsewhere

it's not as much that it's bad it's more of it being cheaper/less sturdy. I own american and chinese glass and I'll be honest that my 30$ chinese glass bubbler is my favorite over my more expensive american made pieces
