For any of you guys interested, I was unable to get Kathy Hu to do anything about sending me the wrong piece. Her final was response was "Send piece back" and Ive had no further communication with her. After a week, I added a timeline of events to the dispute, a couple more pictures showing she sent the wrong size and escalated the dispute. Its in Ali's hands now.

Yea.. she has been responding even after the shutdown and the national holiday didnt extend out the period of time you had to escalate your dispute.

I dont really get why every time I make a statement about the process with China, all you guys jump to defend them. "They didnt ship your stuff for a week after they were supposed to? Well, its China!" "They sent you the wrong thing? Well, you can make it work and oh yea, theyre shut down! Its China!"

If the shoe was on the other foot and they sent you guys the wrong stuff and then told you to "Send piece back", I doubt any of you would like it either.

It works, but ideally, not the way to go.

especially when 95% of the active compounds are absorbed in the first five seconds of inhalation.
That would be nice, and it may be the case with smoke, but it hasn't been sufficiently proven, especially with vapor. You won't convince me that a huge, water cooled vapor hit is 95% processed in 5 seconds. I've taken too many thousands of test hits myself (anecdotal or not), holding vs. not holding, to buy that. Much smaller hits are a different story.

I ordered a 18mm Ash catcher from ALT which arrived with a huge obvious crack in the perc. They requested I send it back in order to receive a new one. I dont see how thats a ridiculous claim for a company to make. They said they would refund my shipping but that never happened even after I sent them pictures of the receipt for my shipping label. However, I was just happy to receive a new working condition item. Im sorry that happened to you but do you expect her to just send you a new one free of charge? And on the shipping issue, it is China and other members have reported long shipping delays

I totally get why you're frustrated, but to be honest, in your situation, I'd most likely write it off as a loss. Then I'd try to sell the piece I didn't want on the Classifieds (where you can almost assuredly get your money back...I did on a piece of China glass I sold recently) and try buying something else from a different seller. I don't think it's that anyone is making excuses for "China", necessarily...just that most of us realize that as a consumer, you buy cheap Chinese glass direct from China because it's stupid inexpensive, not because you're likely to get quality customer service along the way. It's definitely a risk. Personally, I haven't and wouldn't spend more than $40 on an AliEx/DHGate bubbler because I know at the outset that the risk of poor build quality is higher than average and any problems with my order are likely to go unresolved (without major hassle and potential expense, at least...I would find it too big a hassle to ship something back to China, too, but completely understand why they would want me to!!).

It may not sound like I'm sympathetic to your frustration, though I promise that's not the case. Just trying to give you the perspective of many who choose to buy these crazy cheap pieces. If you want the assurance of a high quality product and great customer service, you're most likely going to pay for it. If you choose to do business with a company in a country known for its quality control problems and cheap manufacturing, not to mention one in which they speak a different language, you've gotta have a sense of humor about how it all turns out, I think. :)

Dude you just have a chip on your shoulder. No one else has had any issues. Every piece I have ordered has showed up and in good shape. The same as most everyone but you. If the 99% are not having problems then the fault must lie with the 1%.

You keep trying to get others to jump on your bandwagon and get miffed when they don't. We are happy with our products and understand the issues with shipping from China. I would recommend the d020 to as many people who want to buy it. It is a great peice and Kathy Hu got it to me within a month at a dirt cheap price.

Ms. Kathy rocks I know that, poopmachine doesn't state complaint once and move on, I know that for sure too. Maybe some of us are just tired of hearing the same silliness over and over and over.

Very well said!

I have a nice CALIFORNIAN made glass piece that was 10x the cost.
$28 was cheap for the D020 for how well it works. It is a gamble most definitely! However at least the potential loss is not deviating!

If you want the assurance of a high quality product and great customer service, you're most likely going to pay for it.

And that isn't always true either. Good customer service is hard to find anymore. Which boggles my mind.

Maybe it's just me but I think that China's glass is looking better than ever before. I don't know if it's there craftsmanship or them just catching on to our glass trends. I remember just a few years ago all you could find where tree percs.

So now to go off-topic, :ko:, I received my piece from Kathy Hu on Monday, only took 24 days. I like to spend a few days with it before making a review.

This is my first piece that isn't dewaar, so I'm not used to the natural perc. I've found that if I get just the right draw speed, and keep it steady, I can get pass the stemless joint w/o causing turbulance.

Drag is much greater than the D020, but so is diffusion. I almost combusted with my SSV and couldn't even tell, :D. The chug is also greater, but not overly annoying like I've experienced on other pieces. It's almost a purr with a bit of chug throw in.

For $32, I think it is a steal. I'm definitely finding room in my glass rotation to give the lil' guy a workout. It makes my vapor so smooth.

My only gripe, as has been mentioned, is that with the VXC on, it will tip. No biggie though, my gooseneck lamp is more than enough to supported the cloud + HC from tipping and still provide enough light.

Dabs are vapor too!
I've been reading this thread, looking for a first glass piece, to go with my 'nano. Looking at the D020,
or this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-...and-Clear-color-Free-shipping/1511966707.html
Had a bong many moons ago, but never tried any of this fancy stuff that's out now.
Aside from the greater (but still low) cost on the can shaped one, will either of them work as well?
Also, is the best place to order dhgate? No paypal with them but I can use a credit card?

Glad you decided to try some of this low cost glass. The two you are considering have a few strong differences, as far as function and draw goes. The D020 is dewar top, your vaporizer would sit centered over the can which can put your vaporizer a bit closer to your face, but is a bit more stable, and has a really easy, smooth draw, with varying amounts of diffusion depending on how much water you put in there. The blue honey comb perc is stemless which puts your vaporizer a bit further away from your face, but also creates a little bit of balance issues if your vaporizer is big, also you will get a bit of drag at the start of the draw, which on such a small piece should not be very much, but compared to the D020 you would feel a bit more drag due to the nature of having to lift the water into the perc. It will give you a lot of diffusion, so if you like bubbles, this one is a good contender. Both seem to stand about the same height according to the side by side photos I've seen posted here in this thread.

It is a tough call, really depends on which appeals more to you. I found DHGate delivered quicker, can't say much more about them being any better or worse than aliexpress.

What I like about the D020 is the stability with the SOLO or NANO.
For $28 it's a deal.
I never learned to use a bong maybe because of the giant mouth piece?

The D020 pairs well with a vaporizer.

You can always buy a $2800 piece when your ready!

My brother was balking at paying $ for glass because his Nano works so well dry. I think I talked him into getting a D020 due to price point. Ill be sure to update if he follows through.

Jam is spot on ^^^, she knows her glass,

If you need more diffusion, because the hot vapor is irritating your throat, then go with the Honeycomb. If you just wanting something to slightly cool and moisten your vapor, the D020 provides very little resistance.

Do you have a budget pigfoot?

Jhanpixel offers some pretty nice glass for a bit more $$. They would provide a bigger chamber to help see the milk and may help with ergonomics, which is very important IMO.

My favorite is the UFO sidecard, for only $120 w/FC discount.

Wow, lots of great responses.
@jambandphan03 - did you realize that was your FIVE THOUSANDTH POST? it's for an e-nano,
which being so small, shouldn't be a problem on top, I would guess. The part about the drag was helpful,
so the D020 still sounds good, but since I'm new to this I really don't have anything to compare it to.

@ataxian - no $2800 glass on my radar @ the moment  But your point about the bong mouthpiece reminds me - do all of these work ok with mustache/beard?

@Caligula - yeah, I'd be interested to see how it compare with your jhanpixel too.

@Tweak - "slightly cool and moisten" sounds about right. Like to keep the budget low on this one
under $40 I guess, since I don't know what I like yet.

...since I don't know what I like yet.

Great words of wisdom. I kept hearing to not buy the cheap china glass. So my first piece wasn't cheap, wasn't expensive, but I broke it quickly,. So then I bought a $40 bubbler.

You can't go wrong with the D020. Just hope you can find it in stock and you are in no hurry, average wait is 20-30 days.

As an alternative to the D020, there is the infamous $40 pipesdaddy vape bubbler that works great. Might get to you quicker if you are in a hurry. Not as good as the D020 IMO, but the detachable MP can be a plus if you need stealthy storage or would like to try a hose for a MP.

Good luck on your hunt, the search is always half the fun,

I'm just jumping into this thread head-first so-to-speak and really like the looks of that D020 bubbler for use with my Solo.

Is DHGate a safe and secure website to use when ordering via credit card?
