This is not a sign of deception, its just I write alot and sometimes when I mention "Giving","Upgrades","warranty", "at cost", or "Free". sometimes it gets jumbled together. I set in digital stone all the parameters of our engagement with the beta owners. As I mentioned before custom glass is too expensive to offer for free but we will gladly share it at what it costs us to manufacture (For beta users & warranty timelines).

My apologies. That statement was not meant to accuse you of deception but my jumbled recollections. It has been a lot of info to take in but that's a GREAT thing!

Perhaps to take our minds off the unfortunate delay, we could shift discussion back to the Versa platform and potential future directions. Here are my suggestions/questions:

  • In anticipation of receiving the Beta units, is there a list of tips/tricks and/or things we should consider or prepare for after we open the boxes? An FAQ perhaps.
  • Can you share how this works with a whip, what type of adapter is used?
  • Future: Blower Fans? I'm not personally interested in bags a la volcano style, but a quiet fan that helped pump vapor through a whip or a water tool, like people report doing with the Herbalizer, would be very interesting to me.
Oh, and how do I request red plugs for mine - send email or PM here?

Please keep on writing as you do Leiana. The openness, information, and warmth, creates a "real" person who seems pretty special.
I think the threads mad love back at you confirms that.

Quick Hard cases update:
Our hard cases have not arrived yet. They were shipped Fedex ground from Ohio. I was told that the delay is due to inclement weather they received last week which can be verified by news reports. I need to acquire a tracking number if it doesnt come by Wednesday morning.

Any chance you were the one who bought up all the duratool cases from mcm electronics? :) I've got two on the way stuck in Ohio too!

@Leiana
Isn't it possible to enamel units just the outside walls????

I'm guessing that outside temps on outside walls of the unit will not be as hot as to off gas anything.
If that happens it will be impossible to hold the unit with your bare hands...

Well guys I am officially paid up and part of the beta team. I'm really excited and this is my first time to be a beta tester for a vape. Happy days :)

Edit: Guys also I need a little help. I'm sure Leiana and the guys are very busy trying to get our units shipped so I am hoping FC can help me :) First question is about getting a step up converter. I'm in Asia and I need to get one of these to go from 110 to 220. I have no idea about these things. Does this look suitable;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Voltage...er-500w-110-120-To-220-240-Volt-/321316055008

Any advice would be appreciated. I want to get it asap so I will be ready once the Infinity arrives.

Secondly, as well as taking a big step up with this new vape I am also about to start using glass. Previously all my vaping has been dry. I'm waiting on an F-Bomb hydrotube with a 14mm gong from Planetvape. Will this work with the Infinity? I think I need to get either an 18mm adapter or another piece of glass with a 18mm joint. Sound right? If that is correct I am going to pick up a piece of cheap China glass to start. I would like an adapter as well but Planetvape have no stock of 18mm adapters now. Any recommendations? I was thinking about this or similar. Do you think it will pair with the Infinity well?

Thanks a lot guys. Just want to start the learning curve now and get a step ahead so I can begin testing asap :) Thanks in advance.

With the hydrotube, the herb will fall out unless it's covered like an ezload bowl of the vxl, wouldn't it? i'm curious what kind of bowl adaptor would be supplied so that the G1/MKII could work with a hydrotube?

I think i read somewhere that transformers will be supplied (@Leiana, could u confirm?) but good point i forgot about, as i am also a 220v user and i'd hate to bulk up my tabletop with a big bulky device. How difficult is it to engineer 220v units so we don't have to use transformers?

anyway, these 2 bubblers are pretty popular, esp the one on the left D020

sorry u got to search for the other link in the Cheap HQ bubbler thread but they got some good budget options there.

So what's the deal with these hard cases?
Do they just hold/protect the infinity/g1 or a bunch of accessories as well?
Are they sweet/totally custom? Do I want one? lol...
:freak:
I believe the cases for the MKII will be able to hold accessories. Not sure about the G1.

Thanks Tiukauleh. Yeah Leiana told me I would need a step up converter. They seem relatively cheap. I just want to make sure I choose one that is suitably powerful to handle the job at hand. Sounds like you will need one as well.

Both of those cheap bubblers look you posted look good and I have come across them as well. As I am new to vapebonging I am a little concerned that the vape might not fit properly on to the bubbler.

oh god, something like that with shipping could add another $80 to my cost (unless i get the el-cheapos), not to mention the extra bulk! my buddy has a 240v dabuddha from 7th floor. Anyone from an engineering background can chime in on how difficult is it to change the 120v to 240v units ala dabuddha?

afaik adaptors are provided or offered. and those bubblers have been paired with the vxl cloud so i think the vectra models would be fit ok.

Well you should prepare to jump on youtube right away. We will have our instruction manual on digital platform. You can scan the QR code and be sent to the link to the instructions ORRRRR you can just visit the Versa Vapor Youtube page when we have it posted.

This vape works well with a whip. I recommend if you want a whip right away, please visit the arizer website or GotVape and grab a whip that can be used dual screen mode. We have the ability to source some dual screen whips locally. If you want to know what the whips look like please check our first youtube video and look toward the end of the video. That dual screen gourd seems to work well when you use it with a hose and it seems thats the only one you can get locally in Berkeley. We have our own design but it resembles the arizer whip very closely so you may as well source it quickly from them.

We have a plastic mold being made from CAD drawings, its called the V-Station. Its got the same blower pump as the volcano but we have it wired with a variable circuit board to help control flow. The volcano pump is expensive and is made overseas so we are thinking of using a 12v blower fan instead. The station running on 12v has proven best for lights and temp guages as well so I would predict us using that. We plan on having a 4 wire ceramic element that allows for temperature control and having a 12v PID temp controller built into the station. I am using these words verbatim terms so if you dont know what I am saying ask for elaboration.

We have a dual screen adapter that will outdate our current bowl system called the VersaBowl. Its everything you could have ever wanted in a vaporizer adapter. I cant talk that much about it until we are finished formulating and filing the patent, like on many of our items. Although I cant show pictures of it yet, its definitely an important part of our secret sauce. Beta members will have a discounted price on those as well.

I would send an email if you are interested in having red joint caps.

In regards to having to buy the transformer, we bought some for our international people but they were kind of expensive. Since you live in Hong Kong it would cost you like 5 dollars to get something like this. It costs 16 from us. I hoped you could source it locally but if you would rather buy it from us, its up to you.

BTW yes the F-Bomb will work for sure. Just like any 18mm perc, it requires the use of a second screen called a dome screen. If its a 14mm you will need an 18mm to 14mm reducer. We can also make 14mm adapters special order but they cost a little more unnecessarily and a reducer works great.

The 220V model is not difficult to construct at all. Our circuity supports 220v natively however the only issue is that we need to manufacture some 220v heating elements that meet our standards. Custom design minimum order quantity is 500 units and its just something we needed to perfect on 110V first. Its simple from here on out. Expect it after we successfully complete our Indiegogo campaign.

I recommend that bubbler on the left as far as clearance and vapor optimized diffusion is concerned. Frit can reduce vapor output. Not by much.

So what's the deal with these hard cases?

:freak:
Hard Cases. Heck yes. Awesome. You want one. I want one. The president wants one. They are a great compliment to the vaporizer.

When you want to put the vaporizer away, you dont need to sit it on the shelf unprotected or on a desk somewhere waiting for a cat to decide its fate. When you want to transport this, do you really want a random freak accident to claim your next vape session a fail? You can get lots of bags and cases to do this job for you but we pre-cut them so you dont have to. Its just nice to know a vape has a home outside your desk it can go back to. If you dont get a case from us, just get one at some point. We are only charging 10 bucks for them which is a ridiculous offer!!! Find one online that can fit your vape for 10 bucks and send me their phone number, I'll be wholesaling from them from now on!!!
We keep them discreet and they can be locked with a pad lock like MasterLock. Keep the kids out and maybe your wife too. Who knows.

It can hold adapters, control units, and the vaporizer itself. Maybe even some extras.

If you have anymore questions please let me know.

I like frosted. The white caps should look better to me. Some people want red caps and they also look good. More scientific.

Yeah I'll take the white cap too. Looks great.

@Leiana. No problems. I will buy one. I'm just a bit of a techno retard and am looking for some guidance. As long as it is under $100 I am not concerned about the cost. By the way, have I got a case? If not I would like to order. Thanks :)

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
Wow, I was all about the black but I must admit the frosted is seksi and very unique.

@Leiana, just to clarify for us 220v users, what is the max wattage draw of the beta units?
(as currently configured with ceramic heating element).

I ask because some 220v folks, like me, may want to use a more robust step down transformer.

I prefer to use high quality locally made isolated toroidal transformers for my 110v gear, so if there was a step down included in my order (I don't know if there was) you may give it to another 220v beta user who needs one as I won't use it.

Thanks Leiana! :)

What are these red and white or grey "caps" that are being discussed? Is it that round plastic (or whatever spaceage material) retaining thing for the heater inside that can be seen because of the frosted glass?

LOVE the frosted...did from day 1. Just looks more "classy" and high end to me. You just KNOW it's glass.

Yes and yes:) frosty is definitely best in my opinion also.
