Speaking of portable vapes (my preferred vape form factor), I am always on the lookout for the latest & greatest. I am a techno-enthusiast with a refined eye for the best in innovation, performance and build quality - and a nose that can pretty accurately detect public relations BS a mile away, most of the time. If I were privileged with the task of hand-picking a team from scratch who would be charged with putting their thinking caps on to develop a stealthy leading-edge pocketable vape and bringing it to market, Leiana's team would be it - hands down! Regarding hype, which we are rightly cautioned to guard against in a post above, and well we should always be: I have not seen even a trace of it from Versa here on FC. In unadulterated fashion, we have been witness to: brains, vision, commitment, dispatch, enthusiasm, gracious public relations, humble acceptance of criticisms and calls for change, and smart thoughtful business acumen, to name just a few positive attributes - all presented well-in-evidence over the entire past 23 pages of this thread. Perhaps there will someday be a Stealth Portable Versa in our future. One can only hope:nod:! :peace:

Hey Leiana! Can you please give us an indication as to the warmup time to proper thermal mass. Just curious if it will be like 2-5 minutes, or more like 20mins like some other vapes that claim to heat up in 5 minutes. And if we can leave the units on all day like a log?

Also, just how easy is it to combust, as this is a major factor for my enjoyability.

Great Scott!

Well I can already answer this one without using it. It depends 100% on you. The voltage/temp is adjustable. Once you dial in your settings for your usage the voltage will remain consistent enough to not fluctuate in temps very much. You have complete control over the temp on a voltage level. So in general use you shouldn't be able to combust. It is convection vaporization so really the only way to combust is to turn up the voltage past whatever point happens to cause combustion.

Prepare for a huge post.....

Quick Hard cases update:
Our hard cases have not arrived yet. They were shipped Fedex ground from Ohio. I was told that the delay is due to inclement weather they received last week which can be verified by news reports. I need to acquire a tracking number if it doesnt come by Wednesday morning.

This post will consist of the following:
1. Our current stock of Versa Infinity and its state of affairs
2. Versa G1 and its state of affairs
3. Our secret sauce and its state of affairs (Heating Elements)
4. Your Beta units and their state of affairs
5. How to approach buying a unit

Lets begin
1. Our current stock of Versa Infinity and its state of affairs

Versa has been working overtime to ensure every angle of your unit is safe, healthy and precise.
We not only hired one of the most reputable laboratory glass factories in the bay area to make your units but we also have has every angle of this unit inspected for air quality, electrical conductivity, longevity (life span), durability, and performance. In that we have met a few slow downs along the way but none have created a lesser product. In some of the tests the enamel we were using has failed our standards for air quality and thus required all units to return to frosted exterior until our opaque glass Infinity bodies are available. I apologize for this inconvenience. With the addition of our second air path, the air path quality control had to be more strict and the slightest smell couldn't be accepted as its an indication of off-gassed material.
All units have been sandblasted to bare frosted exterior. I also have an update in relation to our heating elements which you can read in the 3rd section.

2. Our current stock of Versa G1 and its state of affairs

All I can say is wow. We have such a surprising amount of interest in the G1, we have been called to action to raise our priority on releasing a beta of G1 models. As some of you may know the G1 is an exact replica of our first Infinity model. Its sleek, slender, and packs one hell of a punch for a vaporizer. Its basically the kick-ass daughter of the Infinity at this point, following in the footsteps of the Infinity's milestones. If we can have at least 10 people interested in the Versa G1, we will proceed with the beta. We already have the hard cases for them in stock and can send them out shortly after the Infinity beta units. At this moment we are willing to add the eXtraction boost to the beta units as a test. It is still absolutely NOT GUARANTEED that it will be in the retail release model. This may be the only opportunity to get this feature in a G1.

Main differences/Features between the G1 and the Infinity series.

Versa G1:
1. Heating element and glass body are permanently fixed. If failure occurs vaporizer replacements are available under warranty & can be easily replaced in seconds.
2. Control unit is removable, cords to vaporizer expandable
3. Analog control (non digital)
4. Extraction boost may not be standard in the retail version
5. Body can be upgraded to the Infinity series
6. Control unit compatible with add-on accessories such as glass e-nail. (Control unit upgradable to the Infinity series as well)
7. Can be used with all 18mm tools (Gong tools), Dry and Water cooled. Vertical or inverted. Handheld and hands free.
*Retails for 189.99 (private FC price may differ)
*1 Year warranty

Versa Infinity:

1. Interchangeable / Upgradable Glass body
2. Upgradable / Modifiable heater system
3. Digital LCD with Blue LED backlight
4. Removable / expandable cord from control unit to vaporizer (Control unit is removable)
5. New! Extraction Boost air path
6. Control unit compatible with add-ons such as glass e-nail.
7. Can be used with all 18mm tools (Gong tools), Dry and Water cooled. Vertical or inverted. Handheld and hands free.
*Retails for 289.99 (private FC price may differ)
*1 year warranty

The conclusion
You can clearly see that the Infinity is for those who want a future proof / repairable / modifiable experience.

G1 is the easy button. You'll likely never feel unsatisfied but if you ever do, you always have another option. You can slowly upgrade to the Infinity series and when you do, you'll always have a backup.

3. Our secret sauce and its state of affairs (Heating Elements)

As many of you may know we have upgraded from alumina ceramic heating elements (Which may have health concerns in terms of inhaling trace amounts aluminum) to our current heating elements which are made of non aluminum containing hard ceramic. This change cost us an unpredictable amount of money due to our custom design. The good thing is they are already finished manufacturing them, we have some but we need a few more orders to pay for the rest to continue our Versa adventure. After that we literally can accept as many orders as we want, because we will have our most rare specialty part in stock in large quantity.

(Alumina ceramic is a soft ceramic used for molding heating elements in high quantities. They contain a powder aluminum oxide ceramic compound which is used to create the mold. They are mostly used in soldering irons and industrial heating elements but often whip style vaporizers tend to use them. If you drop them they will crack and little powder will release. If you inhale that, its very unhealthy. Initially the health concerns are not raised once they are off-gassed due to tests showing acceptable levels of toxins for air quality, however if you would like to know more about inhaling aluminum or its derivatives please check our friend Google. ).

4. Your Beta units and their state of affairs

Hard cases are still in transit due to some mid-western snow storm. Meanwhile back at the farm we've got heating elements we are swapping out for healthier ones and no more colored units because its not healthy so we sandblasted every unit and now have frosted ones.

At this point we have put more into each vaporizer than anyone paid due to the changes implemented and add ons. This is why we had people co-pay with us. We have so many boxes of units, its truly not funny. Its a chore to apply changes to the entire batch but I guarantee you we will reduce the amount of complaints and issues while increasing your happiness with the product in the end. A few pages from now these posts wont matter because you'll have it in your hands. At least you know your happiness counts to us!

NOT A WARNING SIGN

Either way this is not a warning sign that you wont get your Infinity soon or that we ran away with the cash. If you desire I'll send pictures of every unit and its respective package to every person who ordered just so you know I'm not fluffing you.

Thankfully, Gracefully & Lovingly this waiting time has been taken by the FC & non-FC beta testers. I am happy these changes have been made and the waiting wont happen in the future because all of these health regulation changes and safety add-ons have already been taken care of.
A 4 week waiting time is something I am not used to, so I know it must make people anxious. If you need some reassurance, I'll send you pictures of your baby with a little label of your FC name. Give me some time though because I am likely still busy throughout the business day.

5. How to approach buying a Versa unit

If you are one of the people who wanted to get a G1 beta or wanted to grab one of the last remaining Infinity units before our spring production, You need to send an e-mail or a PM on FC. I or someone will guide you on how to make an order and pay.

Once we have the minimum amount of orders on the G1 taken care of, your waiting time will be approximately 1.5 weeks from the production start. It takes a few days to make the glass and we will have to assemble the rest in house. You will have the option to get it with or without the case. I extremely recommend the case but if you cant afford it or have your own means of protecting the unit then so be it!

We will only have the G1 beta open for a short period of time. Likely a few days maybe a week. The price is $149 and all units will include eXtraction boost & a flowers adapter.

Infinity late bloomer betas

We have decided that our extra Infinity units will be priced at $249 and any upgrades made to the spring retail unit will be offered as an at cost upgrade. Each unit includes flowers, concentrates, and hookah adapters. (In contrast the G1 includes 1 adapter.
)

Email or PM me at CS1@VersaVapor.com or Leiana@Versavapor.com or here on FC
To answer some final questions
(After the beta units presale orders will only be taken via IndieGoGo campaign. IndieGoGo campaigns last 45 days or so and also may have peculiar methods for invoicing. I personally would order it sooner to save the headache. The units wont change that drastically if at all (most likely color). )

Well...

Lateness due to storm: this has f'ed with me in my business too so I feel you there.

Frosted instead of colored? I'm ok with that if I understood correctly or are you reapplying the enamel over the frosting?

Truly, I accept that enormously long post as pennance for further tardiness, how about answering the questions about heat up time and your thoughts on leaving the unit one for long periods or all day?

I don't require a picture for mine, but I'd love some more Versa porn.

Thanks, I really didn't want to ask again, but I know how easily posts can be buried. I'm sure she'll provide the information in her next post. I personally can't see the heat up time being more than a few minutes (5 minutes tops?).

Damn you winter storms!! Will early adopters be able to upgrade the bodies once the color bodies are finalized? Also, heat up time? I believe @Leiana said they had a unit running 24/7 without issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the update!

PS..... I'll take a pic of my setup, if you have time. If not, no biggie.

Will you be able to buy the new bodies when they become available?
Yep, and you can buy them at below wholesale costs (beta memebers only).

As far as heat up time.
If you use concentrates level voltage you'll see it heat up in 2 to 2.5 mins flat. 3 mins if you want it to be completely heat soaked. I usually let it heat up for 2 mins on max and then switch it to a lower voltage that I want to vape at. If you were to let it heat up normally, it might take anywhere from 3 to 4.5 mins to heat up 100%. Its really up to how much voltage you use.

Can you leave it on all day?
Absolutely. I recommend it actually, especially if you want to vape at least 3 times a day. It's just nice to have it on demand.

G1 interest here if I can do concentrates as well as flowers.
It definitely does both. Very well I may add.
You can use this adapter for both models of units.

Well looks like we got a decent wave of requests. I'll handle each of them this morning. If you havent messaged me yet, its ok for now but its looking like we might run out of spaces faster than I thought, for both units. The G1 definitely has more room but thats because we are making them fresh, the Infinity is already manufactured.

We wont be seeing any more Infinity units made until the mid to late March. We will have new colored glass options by that point. They cost approximately 5 to 6 times more per ounce which is why we need the fundraiser! We have to buy in bulk before they will make it. I wont be able to translate that into a price until March.
I'll have some Vape porn by the end of today.

This is a G1 in concentrates range

For those of you who remember the Infinity MKi which is shown on the first page
It is now the Versa G1

I'll be back on FC later on today. I will complete the G1 and Infinity order requests before I leave the office.

hey man, maybe it means that the new options could be readily implemented/interchanged within the beta units? might be pushing it a wee bit to expect additional options or add-ons for free imho.

Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
To be really honest I loved the look of the frosted glass originally and was mildly disappointed when it was replaced with black or white. I am very happy to see it back:lol:. I feel like this will be my most aesthetic vape on my desk

I thought the same thing but I read back through and the only freebie upgrade I read about was to the Halogen Heater. Hmmmmm.

Ya Leiana said betas will get upgrades at cost or "the best possible price". With a 3 year warranty, and the deal we got - i'm even more giddy now! Fast heat up...leave on all day with no shut off timer....boom.

Curious Leiana, any updates on the aromatherapy bowl? I know you stated it might not be in the final production run, but just wondering if there is something new?

As I mentioned on page 13,
"Every beta unit owner of the Infinity MKII will be offered a new heating element a no additional cost once we have them in our hands. At that point you can buy the new control unit at our manufacturing cost like I mentioned before. This way no one is left craving a unit and no one is left without the upgrades."

"I know our polls showed that many of you preferred integrated color in the glass. We can only provide that by spring due to the large time investment needed to do it properly. We have to have pigment integrated in the making of the glass rods themselves. Holy smokes what an undertaking to do that with American glass manufacturers. For now we can only supply you with high grade enameled units. "

I am sorry for any confusion I may have caused

Integrated color in the glass costs us 5 to 6 times more per ounce.
The cost for frosted glass and enameled glass is the same.
Since its not healthy to have enameled glass due to our high heat ranges we can only offer integrated color.

In essence the only upgrade I mentioned would be free to beta users is the new heating elements (spring release updates). Halogen elements are still under development and may not be available by spring. In the beginning we planned to send out Alumina ceramic elements but thats not the case anymore. These new ceramic heating elements cost over 3 times as much per unit but we didnt bother to mention that to anyone.

The cost for frosted glass and enameled glass is the same. There is no fiscally responsible way for us to offer everyone who ordered an Infinity free glass upgrades. The best thing we can offer is an at cost upgrade for the glass.
You may not even want it once you use the frosted model. We are using white caps in the Infinity unless specifically requested as red.

The G1's use 50mm / 5mm glass and those have colors readily available but they still cost alot more so in the beta we still need to use frosted for everyone. I personally missed the frosted option but love the black option. The integrated color looks like porcelain goodness. Its the same material used on high end glass water tools.

To be really honest I loved the look of the frosted glass originally and was mildly disappointed when it was replaced with black or white. I am very happy to see it back:lol:. I feel like this will be my most aesthetic vape on my desk
Yep I know what you mean.

I thought the same thing but I read back through and the only freebie upgrade I read about was to the Halogen Heater. Hmmmmm.
This is not a sign of deception, its just I write alot and sometimes when I mention "Giving","Upgrades","warranty", "at cost", or "Free". sometimes it gets jumbled together. I set in digital stone all the parameters of our engagement with the beta owners. As I mentioned before custom glass is too expensive to offer for free but we will gladly share it at what it costs us to manufacture (For beta users & warranty timelines).

IMG_8110.jpg

Yes these can be made on command, we still are curious about its viability as a glass skillet since our new circuit boards & heating elements can create about 350F+ beyond its original design. We had the heating elements running at 450F when we started testing the skillet usage. We just deprioritized the project because of the concentrates adapter but its still a great option for Aromatherapy. We will likely have it as an option in the spring time.

Yep we leave it on all day, concentrates mode has been left on all day but not unattended. I recommend throttling to about 80V or lower when you are done with concentrates just for the sake of longevity which still has yet to be determined because the heating elements havent died yet.

TO CONCLUDE OUR SEGMENT ABOUT GLASS COSTS AND UPGRADES
We are doing our best to represent fair pricing, loyalty, safety, and responsive communication as a priority. We want you to be happy with your units and we want to support you in your adventure with the products. I hope this all comes across in the best way possible.
