Hello all, First timer over here ladies and gentleman. I am extremely new to all of this. I have never used a vaporizer, minus the e-cig. I Have bought many of those and am still learning. However I hope I am in the correct place and that someone could help me. It may have been addressed in other forums but what I really need to know is the atmos dry herb pen the best way to go? I originally 2 months ago went online looking for a new e-cig. I have vision blade. Looks a lot like the TV but larger. Has 3000 mah. It's an animal but it cooks the e liquid so fast it's just a ton of work. However that how I cam across the wonderful world of portable vaporizers. The MFLB, the micro g, the cloud pen, the atoms raw, the power pen, the pax and etc. I have spent now every night hours of research and reading but the honest truth is everyone has their own opinion and that is perfectly fine but when it comes to a dummy like myself I have no way to know what's some guy that really knows nothing and another person that is legit. I am looking for a portable pen that I can use my e liquid (I love ciggs but want to quit)but switch to dry herb oil or concentrates. Looks like the atoms is the only one that does it best? Again please everyone cut me some slack if possible. I have no clue what I am doing. I haven't even posted on a forum before. I'm going on a mountain hike for days and would enjoy getting something before then. Thank you all for your time and patience.

Don't look for a pen that does herb well, they don't really exist. At least not in the pen-size. Closest you can get to that is ThermoVape's Cera and I guess the TVape, though it's still a big big even with the shorty tube. There was ThermoVape's Evolution cart which does convection but it required some technique.

Instead you should look for a dedicated portable for flower, like Arizer Solo or VaporBlunt's Pinnacle Pro. The Launch Box has a strong following and Pax has a big thread. Read up, you might even end up getting the FlashVape. You really get what you spend with vaporizers, but if you're smart you can save a few bucks.

Thank you for the feedback! It is greatly appreciated. Bummer I can't find a pen one in all. I was hoping there was a go to vape pen or someone like me that could just say, "yeah I get it and this is what I did." I just didn't like the idea of carrying two items. My e cig and then something for oil,wax and herb (depending on the mood) but so be it. Thank you again for the recommendations.

Here come some anecdotal experiences of mine:
A couple weeks ago I decided to buy a vape (my first). Like you, I went about researching something to use with my bud. Unlike you, when I saw the RAW scoring very well on that infamous High Times guide, and saw that they sold on Ebay for $60 rather than $180, I just went ahead and bought it for better or worse.
No, it is definitely not perfect. That said the price is pretty unbeatable and it is absolutely workable. I'm using it right now with the glass filter and spring, and it's pretty much impossible to make it burn. It vapes pretty damn well for me with a little practice. And while I haven't tried it yet, I hear it works great for concentrates.
So if you want a cheap, multi functional pen and are willing to put a bit of work in, it just might fit the bill.

Vaped E-cigs a year back and always wondered if they'd come up with one to smoke oil with. Live in norcal so I have quite a selection readily available. Did a little research, found the high times guide like many of you and started stumbling around the web. Decided on the Atmos junior after about a day, as I was looking for a small portable means of smoking oil (wax specifically), didn't want to spend much more than a hundred bucks. All the omicron stuff got and has my attention, but to be honest I think if I had a water attachment like the nibbler for my atmos jr I would be able to take similar hits, on the prowl for an appropriate water piece so I can test this.

I was ready to be disappointed by this little unit, but it didn't happen, I've just been wrecked and really enjoying it's ease of use, and it's cute to boot. All the online pictures of the green Atmos Jr look like some kind of menthol color ugliness, but mine is a nice bright sage color :), which was pretty rad as I was expecting the aforementioned mentholishness. I'm not against tinkering with my vaporizer for the best hoot, but this came good to go and it's pretty user friendly. My girl will get fatter rips off it than me, she quickly developed her little technique, which impressed me.

I'd like to see the Atmos Jr out there a little more, unless I'm missing something, this little piece creating these clouds deserves commendation. As good as a dab, I wholeheartedly agree, I've been skipping the nail at home and just using this little thing more and more, you're not going to get big fat dab rips out of her though..but it will fire as good as a decent dab, know what I mean?

I'm seeing a lot about the raw and rx but not much about the Jr specifically..but like I said maybe I'm missing something. They got one impressed customer though, they got it to me in less than 24 hours from the opposite corner of the country.

The heating unit is holding up to heavy daily use and the battery is totally acceptable, the chamber connector gets pretty dirty and the five holes in it clog fairly quick, but its easy to give a little extra pressure on the draw and suck the little oil plugs out of the holes, not difficult to clean this part either, I have yet to suck oil up in my mouth and I pull pretty hard, I dont think it's possible with this unit unless you are using it laying down or horizontal to the ground. I keep it vertical to the horizon when taking a hit to get the best heating of my wax.

On top of everything it's nice to know they'll overnight me replacement parts for this unit's foreseeable future, as in by the time the 3 year warranty is up I'm sure I'll be vaping out of something exponentially more efficient/advanced/whatever.

This machine combusts.
If you do a bit of modification to this unit,it works really well. You can either get the glass screen and put it in the chamber on top of the element or you can fabricate a metal screen and fit it inside the chamber just above the heating element (which is what I did) being careful not too touch it. Put your fav herb in with a not too tight pack (be sure and remove the spring) and it vapes rather well. If you look on you tube, you can find a video of the screen.

can somebody please tell me if the Blaze Life portable is identical in construction with the Atmos Raw? Looks very similar but it's a bit cheaper and has a little display at the bottom.
And is it a good vaporizer pen for oils and waxes? I don't want it for dry herbs.
thanks in advance

I have the glass screen. Chamber is too small and heats unevenly which leads to combustion and smoke, not vapor.

I ordered some screens for the Vapir NO2 and put one inside the heating chamber to just above the element and yes it is a small chamber but you can get 4 or 5 good hits from this unit. You also have to take out the spring and do a light pack. The taste is very good. No matter how hard you try you cannot get the herb to cumbust with this set up. Look it up on You Tube.

Does anyone have a good way of cleaning this thing? My brother used mine as electric pipe for a couple days now it smells like shit! Can it be cleaned or should I make him buy me a new chamber and mouthpiece?

Just order another heating chamber. You can find them for about $20.00.

You can find new ones on amazon and ebay for $50.00
Check out FastTech. They sell an exact replica of the Atmos for $18, brand new. The thing a lot of people don't realize is that these are all just cheap e-cig parts reassembled and rebranded and then they charge $200 retail.

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004495/1402604

They are a Chinese distributor selling all kinds of electronics. The AGO is exactly the same thing as an Atmos, just without the branding. I live in Colorado and started researching vape pens for oil and wax once we went legal. I found out about FastTech from this thread:

http://forum.grasscity.com/vaporizers/1205179-making-better-oil-pen-pics-included.html

(which is also the best DIY oil/wax pen thread I have come across on the internet if you are curious), and many people in the thread buy from FastTech (including the OP who has placed 20 or 30 orders it seems if you read the whole thread...and no, I'm not the OP).

As far as I know FastTech is legit, but they take 2-3 weeks to ship from China. I have spoken with WaxPayne (OP of the oil pen thread above) and he has never had a problem with them.
At this price, you can afford to hate this pen if it doesn't vape like you want it to!!

I am probably going to order one of these in the next week or so.

Good luck!

So after a lot of review looking, i found a deal i could not pass up. I just stumbled upon these vape pens when looking what time my local tobacco shop opened. I saw a review about a vape pen and was very interested. So when i went in i asked about it, clerk was not informed on it at all, it was called atmos. So i researched, i came upon numerous sites with good and bad reviews. Mostly bad saying "its a electric pipe" still intrigued by the idea of electric pipe/vaper i decided to look for one that was not 129$ like the tobacco shop wanted to charge. So went on ebay, and found the atmos junior for 31.99 with a glass screen (which was recommended if wanting to vape) so i bought it, just got it today.

So wanted to post a honest review so far with my limited experience on it.

Very simple to use:

Unscrew mouth piece and you will see the heating chamber with a heating element inside at the bottom.

Some come with a spring and metal screen, mine did not as it was set up for dry herbs and the metal screen and spring are not needed.

Put the glass screen on the element. No glass screen equals combustion. Think about it, this is why people say its burns. If your dry herbs touch the hot metal coil , obviously they will ignite and the metal screen would need to be placed pretty high to stop this as well. SO GET THE GLASS SCREEN to vape dry herbs. The glass screen completly covers the element and than only transfers heat which is not enough to combust the dry herbs, only bake them :-)

Break your herbs down pretty good and then place them on top of the screen. Pack it down with the tool , but gently and dont let your herbs go past the ceramic (white walls) in the chamber.

Now screw the mouth piece back on the chamber, than the chamber on the battery. Time to enjoy our good work.

Now i hold the button down till the blue light starts blinking, this prewarms our chamber, which you should be able to feel if you touch it.
Put the mouth piece to your lips press and hold the button as you in hale, release the button every couple of seconds and press again. I had to take very long drags, and i may need to adjust pre heating time.

As your inhaling you should start taste your delicious dry herbs, this is what you want. When you cant inhale any more. Simply stop and hold it in , as long as you can but aim for 6 seconds. Release button when done inhaling. When you exhale, you should barely be able to see any visable smoke, but you will see a little which is vapor.

As proof its working after a couple drags, open the chamber and check. You may smell a feint burn popcorn smell and your dry herbs should start to lightly brown.

Now my battary did not last me long, it says to charge it for six hours initially, but after a bit it said it was charged. So i believed it. So going to let it charge the full 6 or more.

Again, mine vaped quite well, and there was practically very little odor on exhale which is beautiful. My dry herbs are of great quality and dont think i would be comfortable using near a cop or parent though lol.

All in all if you want a electric pipe , dont get the glass screen get the metal. If you want to vape dry herbs, GET THE GLASS SCREEN..

I hope i help some of you with your search and use. I had to post this because it was so hard to find a helpful review, so i took a chance and so far extremely happy. Hope you will all be as well

Day 2. Battery is lasting longer , so do not just take it out of the box put it on the charger when the light turns green and gripe about the battary length. Give it the full 6 hours! Out of the box for me barely lasted a session. I had a nice little pow wow with myself had about 3 sessions (pack, unpack, pack) seemed strong. I did however put it immediately on the charger when done. Dont want it to cut out on me mid vape session lol.

Now as for the chamber. I had several good sessions so far and there is some discolor on the walls, need to get a cleaner brush to scrub it away. Some small bits of herbs does fall through the holes in the screen and of course burns. This seems to be very little, just make sure to give the chamber a good blow out after each session. So when you dump the remains out you may see tiny bits of black, this is the herbs that fell through the screen. ill need to check for a glass screen with less holes possibly.

When pre heating 1 time of holding the button till the light blinks seems fine. Take long and very slow and gentle drags at a consistant rate. This seems to be effecient. My first uses were with me feeling like i was trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose lol. Slow and easy does it for this piece.

Other than that all seems well with the device, came from glass pieces before this. I have used a volcano and this really seems to fit the bill for a nice descreet piece. The taste and vapor seem to be the same. But i believe this piece has switched me from combusting to what i feel is legetiment vaping.

If you have any questions i would be glad to help with what i know, though i listed most of it above. Please like this post if i helped you at all as i am new to the site, and might stick around :-)

They can be coaxed to work with herb,
but especially if you're into concentrates,
these are a pretty discrete way to medicate.

Well its been almost a week. Problems have started to arise, leaving me not so happy with my purchase. Luckily it was only 30 bucks. My chamber element is still turning orange and the chamber gets hot, and every once in a while i get some vape now. The battery life could be my fault since i used it before charging the battery the full six hours. But when struggling to have a good vape session with it, the battery has quit on me, leaving me left to get a glass piece. Boooo i was loving vaping.

I ordered a new heating chamber , hopefully this helps. I get really fresh stuff, so im guessing it may have to much moisture and taking to long to heat up properly. it just gets really hard to smoke out of. Im having to take drags that seem over a minute long and that gets really hard and old.

Still learning a technique for this thing as well. I noticed if you want that element to stay red hot, hold the button down for about 7 seconds at first than every 2 or 3 seconds let the button go.really quick and press again while inhaling. I noticed if you wait till it blinks, the coil cools down and has to reheat again. The technique above describes how to keep it red hot through hour whole drag. Though im not sure how that might or might not benefit.

All and all , this may make a great personal, at lunch break piece , if you want to use it as your main and only source of vape though it seems impratical. its derinitely more for maybe reupping or somewhere you dont want to combust and be descreet,

After review of the new chambers heating element, my old one by old meaning less than a week. Is half as orange as the new one when hot. After loading the new one , it vaped great. not sure what happened to the old one and now worry about the new one, and any of these chambers life spans.
