I never acknowledged this post - that was me trying something stupid. I've been meaning to post this, I use the EQ screens to trap particulates before they dirty up my pieces. This screen builds up a LOT of reclaim. I feel like the hit is smoother when using direct draw with the screen, I use a gong and female to female adapter for direct draw instead of a stem. Here's how I would normally use it but this is on my oil gong, I keep the others stashed away because they smell strongly of herb. If I had thought of doing this when I still had my frit I would've saved myself so much headache.
I recommend trying this if you want to keep your glass a little cleaner

For the last year my consumption as gone way up to unreasonable levels?
So my favorite HYBRIDS I switched to favor INDICAS. GRAND DADDY PURPLE with a 14mm glass screened GonG is "FLAVOR COUNTRY"!
For the longest time all my fittings were 18mm however I have been mixing it up with both sizes. This GDP is blowing me away Flavor & Effect.

I leave my NANO on level 4.5 then bump it up to 6.5 before medicating.
Today I left it on 4.5 and produced these BLUE vapor clouds.
Tonight I will crank it back up to 6.0 before bed.
The NANO you can adjust the way you feel.
There is no right or right way!

So you guys prefer the screen @ the end of the gong instead of one in the bowl because you get more reclaim?
@ataxian - this is my first experience with such tasty vapor - it's a huge improvement. I wasn't getting visible vapor on 6.5, so I ended my session @ 7.5, but I think I was just experiencing the learning curve. Yeah, the power and adjustability are awesome.

No, I prefer it because its easier to put in/take out, affords more airflow (larger screen with more mesh for vapor to pass through), and is further away from the heat source so its less likely to lend any "flavor" to the vapor... not that I found this an issue.
Oh, plus it does a better job of keeping small particulates from getting into my bubbler.
The gong hash is just a bonus.

How do you use the gong hash?
I roll it up into a little ball and drop it in my gong for use with water. I get copious amounts of vapor that just keep giving and giving.

I spoke with him through pm last Sunday then through email Friday because my EV-2 order that I placed over 2 weeks ago hadn't shipped. It finally shipped on Saturday hopefully it will be here tomorrow.
I too reduced an email from him on jan 28 that my order was to be shipped that day. I haven't seen anything yet though.
I'd bug him again if you haven't gotten a shipping confirmation.
Seems like he's got something going on that's pulling him away from his work.

Its all good Andy! Being busy IRL is completely different from a server issue causing missed emails and is 100% understandable (not that a server issue isnt, but at least we know you are getting the messages). That being said, get back to Ed so he can start making us wooden stems! 
And now for something completely different...
I've recently been enjoying using these adjustable basket screens with cotton/concentrate. I find I get much tastier and longer lasting sessions by bringing the load closer to the heat, but backing off the throttle to ~ 7.5 or so on the dail (vs 9+ before). And to answer the next question, yes I get just as thick vapor as before!
Did I mention the AMAZING FLAVOR @ataxian ?

Andy, we are grateful for this ingenious desktop vape . I couldn't be any happier for a product. Keep on doing what you're doing. I'm pretty sure you're trying your best to communicate personally to each of your customers, and i'm pretty sure its stressful. and i'm happy with the product customer and technical service. And the community loves the product and some fc'rs are nice enough to help the new people to help build this community and cutting down on combusting and living healthier better lives. Andy you are aiding this movement. and I thank you.
