E-Nano from Epickai

I need some GonG help.

I got the 19mm GonG adapter with the new basket screen, ... so the distance between heat and product is the same as my stems. (except the Nano is upside down).

I have med sized bubbler with a snug GonG fit, no carb. I been putting exactly the same amounts in as when using the stems. (getting nice clouds) Nugs, grind, nug-wax-nug sammich, etc.

Not getting the clouds I expected or have seen with others mixing Nano and water. Any tips? Pack the stem fuller? More heat? I see from the ^ above poster he didnt need that much heat. Is it just cause the water filters out the vape so much?

The fitting of the D020 is 18mm.

Use adapters if need be!

You will need to up the temp to achieve the same effects.
The distance LOOKS the same, but using upside down vs. right side up makes a difference in how the hot air hits the herb.

I would use 7.5 on a Gong, but only 6.5 for a stem, for flowers.

Been loving the D020 under my nano! Makes a great travel pair, because D020 so compact. My only slight complaint is that the D020 doesn't have too much volume. Still loving it and using it in the mix at home, and is definitely a crowd pleaser! For $28 shipped (from China so make take a few weeks), you can't beat it!!

EDIT: ps.... I usually go about 6.5 with D020. End up there on most glass except the bigger Leviathan Lattice where I'm about 7.

EDIT: to avoid double post.... turn up the heat and draw slower. See my post a page or two back for more detailed info.

The problem is that when you turn up the heat and/or draw slower you char the bud. I swear once I figure it out I lose it again? lol I think i'm getting there, but still don't get the size of clouds that I like consistently, so I know they are possible. Do you guys preheat your steams before pulling? I think it helps somewhat?

if you can make the same statements in a couple of weeks I will pay attention... and worry on your behalf.

Thanks Vito! Agree with every one of your words. Strains can be so different and thus like you say, it's the learning curve. I will conquer it, because I have seen it perform miracles, and furthermore the conservation of material is something I have yet to see.

5-10 secs then I pull. thats about it I pull and stir from the same heat, and when I can't get any more pulls then the abv is done. usually a golden brown (3-5 hits)

I just got a j-hook with the Black Leaf AC. It's a great setup to use with my log vapes. Smooth rips and good flavor!

Are you using a glass piece? I find it easier to adjust technique when I can see how a piece is filling with vapor as it happens.

no glass piece, but I use the stem in such a way that I can see the vapor form and go through the tube.

the only gong adapters andy sells are 14mm and 19mm. so for the d020(I just impulsed bought) would i get 14mm and use 18mm adapter. I have an adapter that I bought on accident for my current water piece.

19mm or 18mm are the same fitting in glass fitting language!

18mm and 14mm are sizes you go back and forth from.
The fittings are flared.
The widest part might be 19mm.
A Some people call a piece 19mm while others call it 18mm.

This 18mm GonG some from various countries call 19mm!
The D020 Blubbler has a 18mm Female Fitting.
A 19mm fitting will work.
If you have a 14mm GonG you just use a 18mm to 14mm glass reducer fitting.

I only buy 14mm GonGs for my nano and solo as I have some 18/14mm reducers I'm good to go on most bongs

Recently I have been using 14mm gongs. I started out with 18mm.
Basically I use both!

Depends on what size your glass piece takes. The Nano has 14mm and 18mm glass on glass (gong) adapters available for it since those are the two most widely used sizes for glass pieces. I have one of each, and then a backup of each in case I break something.

As for the type, they offer "all glass" (it has a glass screen built into it) and "pinched" (basically a straight tube which requires a metal screen). I prefer the all glass version. I also prefer the 18mm version, so I can attach these inside of it!

Eliminates the need for a metal screen on top of the glass screen in order to prevent smaller bits from getting through. Also allows you to collect quite a bit of gong hash! And yes, Im coining that term.
