So after a week of keeping this a secret ... I know a secret  which can finally be revealed!

It's all about the Oil / Wax in the newest release, hear it first from the man himself Linus at Vapor Brothers. Props again to him for being such a chill guy and giving us the opportunity to do the interview. We had to battle a Chinese translator for air time, but in the end we learned Linus's dog means serious business. I mean we learned about the new project  and a bit where the company has come in the 10 years they have been around.

Hope you guys enjoy the recording, and best of luck VaporBrothers with the new release! Us east coasters are counting the days till we have oil access till then, you West Coasters are in for a treat.

Has anyone checked out the limited edition pink Vaporbrothers vaporizer? Complete with hot pink LED lights? It is affectionately known as "Floyd" around the warehouse.

Has anyone seen the movie Super High Me recently? I know it isn't exactly new, but I watched it and spotted the VB in a scene! A guy with a large mohawk hands two noobs the hose and they each get really thick rips.

I've had my VB since 2008 and it's been used off and on, largely due to my own learning curve misunderstanding. For a long time I Ioaded it loosely so the herb just fell flat when in use, not into the heater but not really in the air path either.
I now load it better and make sure it stays flat against the screen. Before my current time demanding job I was up to using it once a day at home around lunch. I was getting better hits than the past but nothing like what I watched on Super High Me.
I'm inspired to try my VB above the noon setting this weekend despite reading most (including myself) keep the knob under noon for most of the session, to see whether my unit requires a higher setting for the desired vapor.

Yeah I noticed that too, and its also in the background in This is the End. :)

Yes, it was totally random and we saw it too. Dave Navarro and Steven Perkins are long time co-conspirators of ours and they are seen in the movie showing Sarah Silverman how to vaporize our box. Seems the same box followed Seth Rogan to This Is The End, where he put it out on the table about 3 minutes into the movie.

The strongest densest hit you've ever had is basically the original intent here, so definitely experiment until you get it. Ask me if you need more tips (instructions here) Pack light and fluffy, enough to cover the whole screen. Tamp the herb so it stays in place for the hot air to permeate. Try the unit at whatever o'clock, then adjust the temp up or down depending on if your hit is too green or brown after a few inhales. Your point is to straddle the line between not getting enough and burning. With the VB you can get dangerously close to smoking, which is where the most extraction happens-- all the different beneficial chemicals, giving you a well rounded headspace and no feeling of lacking. Since the vapor is created and inhaled in the same split second, it is still the freshest taste ever. When we started in '99, no one cared for the weak effect of vaporizers available at that time, so we were out to impress and convert smokers. Not to overdrive this point but please find your fat hit and report back to me if you need more background! :) message me...

Reporting back!
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post! I experimented with slightly higher knob settings and encountered more success. I am back to using the VB daily, as my terrible commute is now over.
Today I had a bit of a breakthrough - since I occasionally max the temp for a "dry" hit without herb to clean the screen and seem to get thick vapor, this time I loaded just barely enough herb to cover the screen & left the VB temp on max. I was rewarded with large clouds which made me stop hitting the whip - not from running of lung space but from the thickness of vapor. After a couple hits I figured that was enough so as to not accidentally ignite the now dry herb, & I was thoroughly medicated with no feeling of lacking (I still am a combuster, but now can transition out from doing it so often with the VB!).
Thank you again for your time, I just needed to start backwards with the heat on full and work down. It seems the sweet spot between inhale speed and heat supply for max vapor thickness is more fool-proof with more heat, though I'm sure thick hits are had at lower settings than max especially with practice.

1oclock to 230 oclock hits do it I have 2 notches one for really sticky and dense one for more dry and airy. 2and1/2 foot hose nothing longer for flav. best is surgical 'silicone' tubing, think its silicone.

cant wait to dab with vb hint hint

Thanks for suggesting this! I've mostly seen users claim lower knob settings so it's good to know positive results can be had at higher temps. For some reason I incorrectly thought "too high" would go out of ideal temp range for producing vapor. Using an adapter, I've found surprisingly that my water pipes get thicker vapor as I pull harder, of course more temp helps. Anyway thanks again, I'll try 1-2:30 on the knob.

Edit: My VB was heating up (max) when replying, so I gave it a shot @ the 2PM setting. Slow, steady hits yeilded huge clouds that made me choke on the hits like thick combustion. I'm still coughing! The herb isn't totally dark after each hit either so this setting feels perfect. It probably helps I loaded just a bit more than I meant to hahah.
The ceramic EZ change tip and clear body is great, as is the white flexible hose. Thanks!

What size is the ceramic screen that comes with the EZ change whip? I would like to get a metal screen for mine. Thanks in advance.

So after 7+ years of good times and long sessions my OG Vapor Brothers still goes strong.
The screen however in the original style whip has gotten too clogged, its prob been soaked/cleaned 4 or 5 times over 7 years so it faired pretty well

Now the question should I just get a pack of screens or is it possible to just attain the new "EZ Change" glass piece?

Is there any difference performance wise or taste wise while using the ez change?

Thanks for the input guys

The EZ change is easy to get, and works well for vaporist that go long and hard on a screen as you do.
New screens are my style, but many friends love the ez change setup.
You also can remove the screen, and rub it heavily between fingers as you squirt 91% Iso on it, to get it back in shape.
In a pinch many folks take a torch to the screen (use tweezers, not fingers).
Both of your inquiries are possible.

I gave up smoking cigarettes 4 years ago this month and bought a vapor brothers coffee color vape box to save my lungs. I still have the same box unit and use it all the time. there where phases where I get back to the pipes, bongs papers and blunts but they always leave u feeling like u smoked too much the next morning. So ive been back on my vb for a while and just bought a pnp (in the mail) to vape on the go and at friends places with out risking my vb. I have found that when I use the vb I start it off at 6 o'clock for most of the session move to nine after the first mix, and finish the last few hits on 11. once I get it to the higher temps I find it a bit rougher but still smoother then combustion. I keep reading on this site how everyone uses the vapes at high settings for clouds but I have no problem on a low setting getting the clouds that don't murder my lungs. thought I would share a little info about my experiances with a vb and let everyone know the quality outstanding on these vapor brother boxes. I have been really looking into the EZ whip but not too sure yet. every time I put a new screen in I swear im buying an ez whip that day then once I get the screen in and use it I tell myself (with help from the vapors) it was too bad and this works perfect.

I know everyone is talking about the VB2, but I have a question about the EZ change whip that I use with my original VB. I didn't like the air constriction that I was experiencing with the supplied screen, so I switched to the mini metal screens. The problem is that the metal screens seems to get dirty a lot faster in the EZ change whip that they did with the traditional, hands-free whip. Does anyone else experience this? If so, why does it happen and what, if anything, can I do to prevent it?

Thanks in advance.

Clean it with Iso regularly

Vito,
Would you recommend that I just run ISO thru the whip or should I remove the screen? It seems like removing the screen repeatedly would damage it, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

You can remove the screen it you are not satisfied with the results of doing it with screen in.
  1. I aim the wand downward (screen side toward groound)
  2. I put finger over the bowl, to seal it.
  3. I fill wand with 91% Iso.
  4. I put finger on other side.
  5. Alwys keeping the bowl side down, I shake hard... and when I see bowl is full of Iso, I KEEP MY FINGER SEALING THE OTHER SIDE .. and I dump the small amount of Iso in the bowl. Like a straw with your finger on it, the Iso in wand will go nowhere.
  6. I repeat this until wand is empty of Iso.
  7. I fill it and do this again.... then I take hot water from faucet, and run it through BOTH ways to get rid of particles.
  8. Then I fill once with a drop of dish soap, and hot water... shake... rinse well... and hold at the hose of a vacuum cleaner for a second.
The logic here is that you are agitating the screen area with Iso without removing screen... and you are keeping the Iso flowing in the same direction... the opposite of the direction you have been inhaling the herb.
All together this takes about 2 minutes.
