What butane heat source do you use?
No butane. Not hot enough, or I guess I just don't wanna spend hundreds on a quality one. So I use a $10 torch head on a canister of camping propane. It's the only way to get a nice brushed flame for a proper heat up.

Ever heard of the Newport torch? It's a butane torch that is strong like propane torches but has an even wider flame to heat the whole thing up at once.

I'll check them out, I like my small butane torch and would love to use one that could heat up just as good as propane...

I just looked at a youtube video with that Newport Torch. Crazy that it's butane.

Glad to see improvements! hey hey! some input of the 110V family wich has a new really well welcomed member: sub 1.0

4JeETSW.jpg

As expected, the electrical device is very efficient. so efficient that it extracts it all in one shot or one false which make two if you putted too much material vs your lung capacity. :worms:
As soon as the plan is to inhale as long as there is vapor coming from the load. the number of inhale per load is falling to one big fatty monster hit total extraction. So come the will to repeat the experiment
and overmedication.

The 1.0 timer box is not so bad even if you have to click up the time regularly, like a chess clock. The no dial repaired wheel was painted with a marker with "marks". + and - painted on the box also.

I made the sucker in combusting at very first hit because forgot to dial down :myday:
so former set up is to be washed.
So new Set up is new.:smug:

@NineDelta the second one you link from me is a proto lighter than real UFO, i exchanged it with @Enrico . @shredhead is right.

i watched your videos but it seems you take UFO and specially its nidlle like a Ti nail. The UFO for flowers needs the whole unit hot, especially the bigger central mass.

sub 1.0 is coming now, i am ready to discover automatic UFO hihi.

Hi, thanks for explanaiton, I confused with this piece:
Is this piece older than Sputnik?

I'm making videos with several kind of substance, in the double-decker video I used flowers too. I'm making a video only with flowers, and this is a video with a solid concentrate:

That sucks man, what happened?

I was contempling the possibility of plugging my nano and my sub on my 110V/220V/750W transformer.

One side is 110V, one side is 220V but has all plugs possible. i mistaken the plug with sub, instant clacking noise. grilled sub and fuse of transformer. Mistake move, my fault.

it is the herborizer sphere XL a french glass convection unit. great hooka style unit for Mflb and whips.

Hi everybody,

I'm about to buy one of these in the next few days and I have a question before I pull the trigger.

Has anybody tried both, the Apollo and the UFO?
After looking closely to both, and seeing how the atomizer works, I don't think one can get the full Sublimator experience from the UFO because the UFO doesn't create the thermal equilibrium necessary for that, unless of course you heat the atomizer beforehand, or heating the UFO while in the atomizer.
And what about the vortex effect? Does the UFO have holes on the side of the diameter like the Apollo has them, close to the inner wall of the atomizer to create this effect? From the pictures, I can only see one hole going thru the center of it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated to help me make the right decision.

Thanks.

You do heat up both the UFO and atomizer when using the UFO. It is very similar experience minus the constant temps. Vortex holes are all the same on the Apollo and UFO. It has been determined a while back. PM me with any UFO questions.....

Thank you,
I will, after I get one.

I also own a UFO and never tried any other type of sub, but if this doesn't work as well as an Apollo (when operated correctly) in terms of intended effect, I'll eat my atomizer. The benefit of the apollo is more steady, constant and consistent temperature without the safety issue of an intense open flame torch. That's actually a pretty big difference though IMO.

Lately though, I am really learning the benefit of a clean Sub, I think all the oils and herb residue build up makes it much easier to combust the longer you don't clean (proper disassemble/scrub every 3-4 weeks seems a good schedule), I believe this is true for ALL types of subs.
