Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I've been exploring the EVO's lower ranges a bit more. It was hard at first since honestly, watching glass pieces fill with instant thick-milk never gets old. But the lower range on the EVO hasn't got enough attention. I've been going for thinner vapour, which the EVO has done very well. Consistent, smooth, and tasty.

I was about to write pretty much this exact post. I agree 100%. hanging out in the lower temps is beautiful with this thing.

For the low ranges,
I'm getting some visible vapor if l I preheat long enough at around 10:30

same here. I didn't even really try this until a few days ago because I was having too much fun blowing massive clouds. but now I am really impressed with the lower temp performance as well. I see vapor when I preheat to 10:30

I was recently under the weather with a bad sore throat and laryngitis but I was still able to get some great medicinal relief using the EVO at 10:30-11:00 through my Ion Matrix using hot water. it didn't irritate my already very irritated/inflamed throat and upper lungs at all, and helped me to enjoy my time off being home sick as a dog.

Was in Turbo mode most of the weekend.

concentrates + Cotton + my usual Dewar bubbler with IGG Swagger Circ HT. Clouds for days. Max temp on the dial, 10-20 min warm up... loose cotton (gotta be loose) but cover all the medicine to prevent leakage.
Bubba's Gift, CO2 SFV Kush, HeadBand and then I tried some pretty nice Indica CO2 Kosher Kush wax and it knocked me out, like a major donkey kick to the face reminder of what a real indica can do when used with a beast like the Evo.

I picked up a variety of concentrates for testing in the Evo, but now I'm back to thinking concentrates first and flowers second after complete success with the test cycle.

Dedicated set of ELBs for flowers, another for Concs is next up for organizing.

Thats weird, I never had a Cloud+, but the faster I pull with my my evo, the thicker the hit is. When I have a friend who is hitting it the first time they can barely get any visible vapor. I tell them to hit it as hard as they can and then they get a thicker hit.

that's strange. what your describing is exactly how my cloud+ performs, but my Evo is opposite.

How much do you fill the ELBs? What do you usually put the dial?

To get vapor I have to be at least at 12, But I usually run it around 1:30-2. Sometimes I even just leave it on max because I cant combust with it, but the taste isnt that great than, so I like to keep it a bit lower than max. I usually load the elbs about 1/3 full, but I have tried barely putting any in or even more and it seems to work the best around 1/3-1/4 full.

I've seen others posted but I think this is a good deal, $6 shipped for a 15ft cord for the EVO. It's from NewEgg on Ebay, just got mine and it's great; I feel like I have so much room for activities. :D

Like some of the others, it feels just as well made but it's light enough that it doesn't drag the EVO around.
My 15ft power cord linked above just arrived.

For $6 I fixed:
  • Heavy cord causing the EVO to tip easily
  • Overly tight power cord connection
The new cord is long, lean, light, and connects much more effortlessly.

Has anyone compared the Vaporblunt WTs? I'm assuming they are not as nice as the Cloud's HTs, but was wondering if anyone has both and can comment. I'm saving up for a cloud but have a couple of VB WTs, one for the PnPro and the other for the VB 2.0. I am assuming although the cloud's are nicer the VB may be totally adequate but would hope someone has been able to compare them both and could comment.
TIA!

Your temp range is similar to mine and doesn't sound like it is running cool. For the record, your unit shouldn't combust at maximum temp but if you throttle the intake, you might be able to get it to combust. @oldiebutgoodie and I have been discussing the difference in physics of the Cloud versus the EVO and before we come to a conclusion that we will share, we'd like to get additional data points from other users and vet out this hypothesis even further.

@stonemonkey55

Any chance we can get a video of the Swagger Barrel in use? I'd like to get a Hydratube and this seems like a good starting point.

I'll see what my lungs can do! The work never seems to end ;)

Keep fighting the good fight, SM.

Temp range seems similar to mine...12 o'clock gives thin bluish vapor with a lot of flavor...starting at 1-1:30, the clouds start to bloom...2-3 and it's ILS only! :)

For non-pilots...ILS is Instrument Landing System...(flying in the Clouds)

I can let you know when i get my swagger showercap

I dont know about the PNWT and the other little ones like that but i had a PNWT chandelier, one of the 2.0 DLX ones, it was very very impressive and worked excellently.

I actually just cleaned my EB Straight Neck HT and was using my VB 2.0 Chandelier WT while I was letting the HT soak in ISO. I probably should have let it sit for a little longer with the ISO, but I couldn't wait to use it again so I shook the heck out of my glass until it was clean. It was actually very easy to clean and after a nice cold hit using some ice I was again glad I decided to get the HT.

I have limited glass experience so the glass in my signature is about all I've used. From left to right in my signature is my favorite glass. It is also the order (newest to oldest) that I got it in. While I prefer the HydraTube the Chandelier and the Bubbler worked great until I had the means to get the HT and still do, but they just don't get as much use anymore.

Almost there...
Decided to give Herbie a night off tonight so i could get to know my EVO better.
I thought a set it and forget it approach would work best, so i set it to 12 and walked away for about 45 minutes.
The EVO was hot at the top but not scorching.
!/2 ELB of Tangerine Dream, 5 nice big flavourful clouds a quick stir and 2 more decent clouds.
No burnt or popcorn taste.

So far i have been back three times and this beast is very consistent once properly heat soaked.
I stay just below the whistle in a constant slow pull.
Thanks to the Herbie, my lung capacity for hits has increased significantly.

The HT is awesome with hot or cold water, i have yet to try ice in it.

So far i am very happy with this purchase!
I was a bit off in the middle when there were some issues with calibration but that seems to be all sorted out now!
I would recommend this vape to anyone!
Definitely in my top 3!

I have been starting my loads at 9. Using just a pinch of herb (I think less is MORE for this experiment), barely enough to cover the bottom (for comparison, just about HALF of what I would load for the Nano)... I'm estimating it as under 0.05 gr. closer to 0.025.

Pre-heat as usual, then set to 9, wait for green. Straight mouthpiece for flavor.
I am getting AMAZING flavor, and some noticeable effects!
I have marked the dial, a la @Deadshort480 , at 9, noon, and 3, with two marks equidistant between 9 & 12, and from 12 to 3.
I now work my way up the dial, hitting at least once at every mark, and I can! sure, the final "3" hit is a little bit weak and thin, but I'm getting medicated at every step, and the flavors are amazing. When I'm done, I have a tiny pile of beautifully browned (caramel/chocolate) ABV. Almost powdered as I pour & brush it out of the ELB.

Second "AHA!" moment today - my hubby has discovered that you can stash your ELB, between hits, in the top of the hydrofoot! It isn't airtight, but it sure will cut down oxidation losses if you like to spread out your session over several hours (he does). I use the HF for my mouthpiece. I would imagine if you actually used it for an HT, it would have even more of an air-lock effect. Just wanted to share that.

I love my EVO. Have I mentioned how much I love my EVO? Yeah, that much. :)

....finally received an update from fed.ex...my unit is in CA...since there is no weather problems here (other then no rain) my wed date is definitely happening...I will utilize all the sage wisdom from my fellow vaporist's on this thread...cheers.

tic tock, my evo comes tomorrow and is sitting at fedex in Portland. Can't wait. Soon there may be a vid floating around with three evo's hooked up to this huge Hamm Hurricane with milk flowing through... Bet you can't do but just one... like a Lays potato chip...
It's going to be interesting how cloudy that day is going to be :dog:
I'm going to save lung power for the occasion... Maybe not :D I'll try to do my best as always...

I've been using some cotton wisp at the bamboo intake...
I discovered that it helps with the whistle for sure... I need more testing to confirm, but IMO it darkens even more the ABV. It feels like clouds are thicker.
Stay vaped...

There is no doubt throttling the bamboo intake increases the temperature. An easy way I tested this was to place my lips on the bamboo and suck, directing the air stream over my tongue, while throttling and unthrottling the intake. It makes a difference, not just in temp, and I achieved an interesting, albeit mild, thermal injury as well . . . :)

Your experiment was like when you grab a melting cheese pizza slice, you know it's going to hurt but you still do it for the science...
At least we have good beers to chill down that kind of injury

Vaping inside, it gave me very dark brown ABV, so I turned it down a point.
The shed is so cold lately that I start my sessions at 12 till deplete, then straight to 3 to knock my lower back pain out. Cotton is really helping more in the shed than indoors.
Still trying to figure out the best way to do concentrates...
Stay vaped...

PhotoRider

Diagnosed with level 11 G.A.S.
More resistance in the air flow = slower air = more time to heat the air = hotter, albeit a bit slower draws.

My theory is adding a small amount of time has a dramatic effect because its not a simple linear curve...
At least that is my experience so far using cotton on the cloud+

I finally used my dry mouthpiece that came with the EVO as I am waiting for my new HT. But I noticed the design of the dry mouthpiece change since the Cloud+ days, the mouthpiece is smaller so it's more comfortable/less goofy looking to hit, angled so more comfortable to hit, and i also felt like the old tuba looking ones that had the huge mouthpiece would give you a weird hot/numbing sensation on your lips when breathing in hot vapor :p

Hey VXL Team.... Do you think we might ever see a Titanium ELB in our future? :)

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
So I cleaned out my HT the other day and let the ISO evaporate for some reclaim. I don't use concentrates/oils ever except for the reclaim I get from my glass. The double cap method has always worked for this, but it's been messy. So following some other advice posted here I cranked it up to max, let it sit for a bit, and loaded less in the two caps than I usually would. I got 3-5 good hits (wasn't really counting) from it and wanted to check out how the caps were looking. They were basically spotless! one small black dot that wiped right off and they were as clean as if I hadn't used them!

This is my first time having this happen ever. In the past with my many attempts with Cloud and my one attempt with the EVO I've loaded too much reclaim and a lot of it gets vaped, but the ELB caps are still sticky at the end and I need to ISO soak the caps right away. I could use these again, and might right now :ko:. Now I wish I could get my hands on some medical quality concentrates...

Edit: Rinsed and repeated a few times with the same results. 4-5 good hits then it is pretty much all gone. The caps are very clean with just a bit of stickiness to them that will be easy to wipe off. Loving the EVO more and more.

Did you order your EVO with a HydraTube?

My HF stand is solid glass? No opening to put an ELB?
