JyARz Storage Containers

This company continues to impress me as well, continually looking for ways to improve the product even if it means a little less profit - a refreshing change in the age of lowest bidder corner cutting.

I agree with Aldo's approach of making a quality product and letting the happy customers spread the word. A limited marketing budget consisting of holding genuinely great BOGO sales and giveaways is something I appreciate as well. I wish more companies would put some of their marketing budget back into the product itself. @JyARz
Agreed!

I don't even remember the random website where I first saw a blurb about the JyARz,
but the glass core intrigued me enough to make the post on FC.

Really glad I did!

We have touchdown! Shipping beat the weekend :o Thanks again so much @sasNW !!

It feels really good in the hand, quite durable actually. The size is perfect for what I had in mind for it, I'll definitely have to snag one or two of the bigger containers when they come out so I can keep my buds intact. Excellent work, @JyARz! Nice to see "Made in USA" at the bottom of a quality product ;) I can't speak more on them as I've had mine for about 15 minutes tops, but looking at how it seals in person doesn't leave a doubt in my mind that it'll hold just as well if not better than a mason jar and in a much more pocket-friendly form :)

These little jyarz have really grown on me. I brought home a half oz of some diesel that made the whole upstairs wreak while in a c-vault. I got that stuff out of the house unless it is in jyarz and now it is not a problem. In fact, tonight I packed a jyarz with a huge nugget and put it in my pocket and forgot about it. It was in my pocket the whole evening and none of the family smelled anything. So I'm pretty sure jyarz hold the smell in better than c-vaults.

And the jyarz are endearing in a log vape sort of way!

I'm on a trip out west right now and brought some grounds in the Jyarz that @sasNW gave me, this thing is completely smell proof, I'm sniffing all over the outside of it near the lid and nothing, then I unscrew and bam, quite pungent. Great product.

Not the product's fault, but my only misgiving is the kief from the grounds is coated all over the sides of the glass insert so I'd have to reclaim it somehow if I want to use it, in the future I may not grind before loading and just put whole bud in there.

Static electricity. I wonder if there is a way to temporarily neutralize that so that you can get whatever is stuck to the glass, like............touch the glass with one finger while touching your nose with the other.....;).

Do you live is a really dry climate, G?

I'm in Arizona at the moment, so yes, it's rather dry. Not sure how much of a factor that is, but could make it worse than normal I suppose.

Yeah, static electricity and a dry climate kinda go hand in hand.

Craft section of most general merchandise stores. Steal one from your kids' watercolor set (the one they stopped using). Very small paintbrush from the local hardware store.

Should I brush it onto the glass from my kief/stash box and then razor blade it up (you said you brush it right into the vape bowl)?

I get the same because I'm always loading ground herb.

I simply use a folded business card (folded lengthwise) and it allows me to scrape up all the kief into a pile. I could see how the right brush might work better though.

Can anyone enlighten me on the status of the larger Jaryz I saw mentioned back in October? Thanks.

20 second search using JyARz profile:

Confirmed. Larger sizes coming in the Spring, shooting for April '14 time frame. And JyARz perform very well due to the effectiveness of their seals and light blocking characteristics. As such, you can "pre-grind" drop it in your JyAR and it will stay fresh and moist for a very long time. Try it..you'll like it. So they look little but they can pack quite a bit of product.

Thank you for your support and let me know if you have questions/issues.

I can attest to the fact that you can keep preground bud in the Jyarz for a retardedly long time with little degradation of smell, moisture, or potency. I went 2 months once and the bud was just as good as I remembered it to be.

@JyARz is the release date for the concentrate containers the same as the large containers?

"...retardedly long time..." too funny!

Right now both products are on the same schedule ...Aprilish '14. I just spoke to my CAD/Injection mold expert today to make another tweak to the concentrate version. I found a slight flaw in it after continued use so that might slow things down a few days but not much.

Thanks for your patience!
Jyarz all day! I couldn't open my tightvacs due to resin build up;)......had to iso them regularly until the seal failed.... I used to like them until Jyarz landed. Get a Jyar!

Thanks bro!

...really appreciate your support and kind words!

nothing scientific here, but my jyarz seem to keep the smell in better than my c-vaults, for those interested.

Candidly I'm not sure why the seals are so damn effective, I think it's a combination of the glass/gasket interface which is itself inside another sealed container. I think it's a "double wall" thing. There was some luck involved there but I'll take good luck...The new designs although different to an extent also feature this double wall characteristic so I've found (using prototypes) the same level of un-stank with the new designs as well.

I use a tightvac container, its bloody epic, super easy to open and close and once closed the bud is in a jar with actual negative air pressure, this keeps all the smells inside, and keeps the bud super fresh. You can buy sold black ones so the light stays out also.

I cant beleive how long i used shitty recycled jam jars or ziplock bags to store my weed, this container for 15$ is all ill ever need. These jarzy look good and in no way am i trying to shit on them, i just want to tell people about the tightvac with out making another thread.

You can buy huge ones too if you roll that hard, or micro ones or medium ones, mine stores about a half once, seriously awesome, check them out!

I won't comment on tightvacs specifically. For me I created JyARz because I wanted a safer, eco-friendly GLASS container. From a materials perspective glass is an incredible material. Its inert and doesn't absorb or emit/"gas out" which makes a great storage vessel. In addition, it's infinitely resuable and recyclable ... extremely eco-friendly. I believe we will come to recognize the limitations, environmental and health related issues associated with storing "consumables" in plastic. Frankly, it's nasty stuff and if you do a simple search on "ocean plastic trash" I think any casual observer will be horrified by what happens when plastic ends up in the ocean.

So if you care about what goes into your body, what goes into our environment I think you'll see the virtues of glass. Other containers may perform as well as JyARz but both perform as well and as are eco-friendly.

Thanks @Mister G just trying to spread the fc love and help out anyone who hasn't tried these awesome stash jars. These things really do feel indestructible, I've tossed one in the air so many times in our cement warehouse. Just to prove the point to a coworker I gave one to. Up to about 10 feet, it does have a very slight ding in the cap now.... Awesome:nod:

And just a heads up I shipped out 2 more today... Only a pink one left if anyone wants it to start

My brother....JyARz are tough but I didn't design them to take those kind of falls. They'll be alright most of the time but definitely not guaranteed at that elevation!

We'll actually have some news fairly soon about a new glass option for the current "Classic JyAR" design...still in the works but coming down the pike here pretty soon.

Haha I should have specified that I wouldn't advise trying to toss it on cement (not that anyone would). Me and my coworker wanted to see what damage it would take, as he is into climbing. Surprisingly never broke and still looks pretty damn new

I've been grinding and loading Jyarz... wow. These are so great!

Now that I have "enough" *snerkle*, I have every strain in a Jyar, so I can actually rotate through my meds!

I'm thinking that the reason that the Jyarz is dank-proof is the insert - a natural material gasket that molds itself over the glass rim, and which recovers from that molding when it is opened.
I think the CVault gasket is a synthetic "rubber" (i.e., plastic) that cannot mold/recover.
I've gone entirely to glass jars & Jyarz.
