Being patient for this vaporizer is tough. Love the addition of the case now. Can't complain about being able to protect an investment.

I'm really excited for the hookah top. I notice in the video you don't use shisha. Is it possible to actually use it this way too? I assume so just want to make sure.

The water pipe looks pretty awesome with a frit. Definitely interested to see the in cycler. I usually like a bent neck better but I do like having straight too, got to make both. But I do use my bent neck more for my vapes then the straight.

I am so stoked to show this vape to all my friends. What an awesome addition the hardcase is. I was planning on getting a pelican case but don't need to now.
I also agree with bent neck, but some may prefer the straight.
Excited to see the incycler. But i have a feeling they will cost good coin. You pay for what you though.
Thank you so much for being transparent and allowing the fc community to be a part of the development. This has been exciting news while I battle the flu!

Great Scott!
How awesome would it be to get shipping info this week?! It's getting harder and harder to wait but it seems more and more cool stuff is coming out all the time!:drool::tup::clap::nod::cheers:

After the free case announcement I can wait a bit longer. That is pretty sweet since my car destroys things, and I never have a good vape I can bring to a friend's house or if I go to a hotel or something. Always stuck with portables.

I am so excited to try it all out. I cannot wait to have it in my hands

I am trying hard to think of something it doesn't cover for me. Just one thing to settle down my excitement, its not working though. I just can't wait to put concentrates through it.

I have just read back over the entire thread (sorry for all the old likes lol) and re-watched all the videos. Every time I go to take a dab I think about how many more hits I could be getting out of it... agghhhh

Think I am going to have to stalk the parcel mailman. Better start pertying up to answer the door ha! :o

New Concentrate adapter & Vertical water tube usage
In regards to the tube
This is our fritted 18mm mouthpiece for our VersaTube design. We just knew people wanted to see it used this way. If you have VXC Hydratubes they would probably work extremely well by design so if you have a Versa Infinity MKII and desire this method please visit the VXC website and grab one. We wont have water tools till spring. You can make orders once we have demo units for you.

This is what you could call a "Fritted HydroTube" but its truly an 18mm mouthpiece for our VersaTube design. We just knew people wanted to see it used this way. Very very nice.
Now I can't wait
That is quite a storm...
Is there a special reason why the concentrates bowl is of that specific length ?? Or is just a prototype ??

Thanks for the vid!!! Top notch as expected!

Curious about that 2 piece concentrate bowl though.... is that the one the beta team is getting?

The reason its this length is to provide people to collect drip from not fully vaporized material. Not everyone has drip collectors. The length is also to all for more stable operation when adjusting the contact distance of the adapter. O-rings are responsible for keeping a tight seal.

Beta team will receive these concentrate adapters shown in the video. These are what can really allow dabs to be applied easily and makes cleaning a snap. They are large but work extremely well overall!

As far as temp accuracy:
You will need to use a temp gun if you want on the fly readings. $20 on amazon. once your in concentrates mode youll reach 750 and above and at that point the cheap guns cant read further. You will need to use your intuitive sense. Most vapes in the past were all analog but with the voltage readout you will know how to achieve maximum accuracy always. Voltage drops across a circuit from items such as lights and room heaters can effect rheostat voltage so when you can see the changes digitally you can compensate to get maximum performance accuracy. This is as accurate as a rheostat can get and you'll never be left guessing.

We will offer each buyer a user guide which will help you understand what applications are efficient at what voltages. I am sure you will have no issues, if you do ask us about it. We will help you.

Oh and here is the Beta Team Tag for those of you who are actively participating on the forum with a signature.

I think ambient temperature would affect how fast the heater reaches temp, as well as how the heater cools down while being used. Ideally a proportional temperature control unit would work best. The controller would pick up a drop in heater temp through a thermocouple/rtd. When the controller "sees" the temperature drop it would activate the relay to allow electricity back to the heater in a pulsing form. The pulsing insures no overshot of set temperature.
Problem is proportional controllers are expensive. Atleast for quality ones.

Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
That new concentrate piece looks really awesome! I am curious what it is at the top actually holding the concentrate, a piece of metal or something? Can not wait do side by side tests with this and my other vapes :science:

I am also ever so impressed by the size of those hits:o

Im not a fan of how tall that thing is, I understand you can collect with it, but One thing I greatly dislike it having extra height added to my piece. On some of my smaller pieces if I add that piece plus the MKII its going to be towering over the piece itself and not seem very stable. Any possible way you could make it shorter and just add a drip chamber or something. Sort of like what health stone glass does with a lot of their reclaim stone pieces. However I do like that you are thinking about us being able to collect and reuse it. I like the concept of the piece, but I still think it needs a bit more work. Wont know until I actually get to play around with it though.

Leiana, just want to ask my question again since you may have overlooked it but will the hookah attachment be able to used with actual shisha and not just herb? I would love to be able to use it instead of a coal on my hookah. I dont use my hookahs as much anymore mainly because its pain to always relight coals etc, but if this eliminates that, I can see this being a nice trifecta.

I hear ya gvape. I thought when we ordered the concentrate bowl it was going to be the one from the first concentrate video. I'm glad I haven't purchased glass to mate with the Infinity yet because they will influence the decision making.
Also, how to you reclaim that concentrate that has dripped through without using ISO reclaim? I had hoped that with a high enough vaping temp that there wouldn't be much oil that passed through but i'm new to concentrates.

I also am not a fan of bulky add-ons. This was the middle path that allowed for the best clean-up, best reclaim, above average stability and cleanest/fastest application of concentrate material out of all our designs.

If you dont like it and we innovate it, the beta team will receive their upgrades at nearly cost manufacture prices.

We also know that you can use hookah shisha, just use appropriate amounts. We will make a video of it soon for you.

Lets answer another concern that I've never talked about:
Here's the reason I doubt our heaters would operate much better with a thermocouple temp controller.

1. Our heaters have a large heat density to contact area ratio. It takes alot more than our imaginations of winter breezes to cool it off to inefficient temps. Ambient temps mostly effect heat up time. You'll see.

2. Rheostats are running constantly, drops in temp are much less drastic with constantly applied heat.

3. Due to experiencing such instant gratification with the current digital rheostat control unit, it has resulted in alot less thinking for me. My mental engagement with a temp number and a voltage number would be nearly the same because you would still have to find what number could make a better vapor for your circumstances. Share your findings on FC, it'll help others on their adventure. ;)

Temp controller in the future
We do have a manufacturer for a temp controlled model but it would cost somewhere around $400 retail. Right now we dont want to take on that responsibility as a separate unit so we will offer a control unit/heater upgrade combo that will allow your unit to become a MKIII. Its like a motor swap for your car. If thats what you want let me know and I'll let you know when we get 4 wire versions of our heating element. It wont be soon though.

I think the tube is long, but I'm fine with it for now. If I don't like it after trying it, it looks like a "shorty tube" could probably be made as a separate option I'm sure. It is highly modular after all!

Sounds great to me! I cant really comment on it much until I use it. Either way Im stoked to try it.

Thats great news you can use shisha with it too, cant wait to see that video. I sure do love getting all these videos :D Great way to hold us over. The excitement just keeps building up more and more for this thing.

That is an insane amount of hits from that concentrate! The videos keep getting better and I liked the fact we could see exactly how the heater attaches in the glass body.

I also agree about the length of the concentrate adaptor, but as @darkrom said I am sure there could be a shorter version made if needs be. But I look forward to using it first before passing final judgement.

That brings me to my next point @Leiana. I sent an email on Saturday asking if I could upgrade to include the concentrate bowl as I hadn't included one in my initial beta order. I have recently come across some nice wax that I want to try out :D

Thanks!

I've only owned vapes with one temperature :myday:, multiple temperature presets or the sub UFO which you torch, so having direct control over vape temp is going to be a revolution for me, even if it's by voltage rather than Fahrenheit setting. I understand what you said about the rheostat and really appreciate the way you folks are balancing the feature/cost tradeoffs.

For starters, I'm only putting plants through my Versa. I only have access to tiny amounts of sublimate for concentrates, so I didn't order a concentrate bowl, maybe someday I'll have a better supplier of oils (I'd love to try Wax for the first time, never seen any in person, yeah, I'm sheltered) and will purchase that add on in the future. It's great that you can serve yourself at the Versa vaporizer buffet...

Alright guys, we took your suggestions and are going to make the concentrate adapter alot shorter. We all have come to expect user feedback changes.
It'll still be at least 3 inches long. We are at the stage where we can make small quantities of changes fairly quickly.

Thanks for your input!

Ok off to do some more work. See you later.

Happy dance!
