The fan assist definitely makes darkening your herb easier. However, after some practice I can now get my ABV as dark as I like regardless of delivery method. I'm not sure if I've seen this mentioned in here yet, but the whip without fan assistance works best with a hard draw. The harder I pull, the thicker the vapor and the darker the ABV. So for those of you not getting the dark brown resultant you're after, just pull the hell out of that whip and you should be more than satisfied! I will say though, it takes me about 15 unassisted whip hits to get it there.

Yeah, it's the Pinnacle WT from Vaporblunt. Definitely a slight risk of water getting into the unit, but even with this little tube I barely have the lung capacity to get to the point where the vapor is starting to irritate my throat/threatening to make me cough. Herbie hits so smooth. Regardless, I plan on getting a bubbler to use with the whip and a GonG adapter, should be safer.

I understand Vitolo... just curious lol..hopefully we wont have to wait till easter! 
That doesn't sound right at all. My fan runs and keeps running until I hit stop, when doing bags.
Edit: Just filled a bag....and it happened to me as well. Strange...this a first time for me.

Mine was filling the bag completely and shutting off on its own. Then I stopped using bags for a week or so and only used the whip through water. Now this.
How gunked up is your screen? I am just cleaning mine up to test again...I know this was a problem with my Volcano.

It had been almost a week since cleaning mine.
My Herbalizer kept up with a group of seven or eight Friday night without breaking a sweat. I guess it helped gunk the screen a little.

So the fan auto shuts off after 80 seconds to prevent you from accidentally overfilling the bag? My bags typically fill up in 50-60 seconds so I never ran the fan for that long.

I've never used with an HT cause putting herbie in any position that's compromising isn't worth it to me. Why not just use the whip with a gong adapter right to your piece?
If you take the time to stay up on keeping herbie and all of it's parts clean than I get just as much flavor than direct into an HT. If josh is going to release a Gong Joint like stated much earlier than maybe we should wait for that. Why put yourself in a position that technically void your warranty and then fucking make it public. My favorite is Herbie to my Ion or one of my recyclers.
As far as ABV, I start my sessions around 375 - 390 and work my way up all the way to about 440. Do I get dark brown ABV? No, my ABV is at most lightly browned. But, and this is a big but the ABV turns to dust when I touch it. Pretty damn toasted if I say.
I still think were all learning, a lot of us are stuck comparing our usual measures as vaporysts to calculate whether a device works or not and I do the same shit but....
I'm getting medicated as fuck, numerous compounds and concentrates were enormously effective and I get that benefit of instant heat up as well as instant cool off. I'm a pretty happy fucking camper.
And as far as the bags - mine usually fill in about 40 to 50 seconds so the 80 second mark makes a lot of sense.

A few initial thoughts:
The first couple of days, I tried to stay in the "Uplifting" range. (IIRC the name correctly... too lazy to walk into other room). I normally temp-step, so I might start this low, but usually never stay there. I figured, if they were going to the trouble to label temp stages, that I should try to extract using those guideline... as someone that is new to vaping might be inclined to do.
I am still amaze [sic] at how much extraction I kept getting. Now, as I stated before, not sure how useful the continued production was, but the fact there was ANY was impressive.
Also, this device is VERY easy to use. (As I think Dreamerr likes to put it: "no magic tricks" to get it to work.) I just weight stuff, toss it in the bowl, do a quarter twist, and attach an intake device. Ready to go in seconds.
The next thing I'll note, is that I really don't like the whip. [DISCLAIMER: This is initial reaction... NOT from extensive use.] I think this is from two things: My old (READ: Ancient) vape was whip based, so I think there is some feeling of "going backwards." Also, I have become VERy accustomed to the Ascent (using the GonG as a mouth piece), and enjoy slowly puffing away at that. That's a draw length that's about 1/6th of the whip length, so I found the whip length to be much more difficult to puff on. Turning on fan assist was like turning on a fire hose... okay... a garden hose.
So, it perhaps feels too much like one device, and OTOH not enough like another?? As stated, this is just from a few uses, so I expect my opinion to change as I get more experienced with using the whip. There's one problem however...

I've alway thought that bags were kinda gimmicky, and fine for parties and what not... In fact the only time I've tried them was in "party situations" when they get passed around a few people. Wasn't impressed.
I kinda love the herbie bags.
I rather like I can drop them on, and walk away as the auto-fill. (I do feel, and I can be wrong about this, that it is perhaps better to hold the coupling down in the last 10-15 seconds. Oh, and like others, the fan run-time is longer than I need, and I shut it off manually, but it's good to know that if I forget, it will soon shut itself off.) The bags are pretty fun to watch fill... although perhaps that is a novelty that will wear off? Or will it rather elicit a Pavlovian response?
I like the fact that I, basically, know what I'm getting. I measure out product first (so fixed variable), its the same product (control for not only strain, but things like moisture/cure), and if I fill a ballon, if I consume half of it, I know exactly how much I'm inhaling.
Also, I think the puffing is easier with the ballon. If I want to do a big hit, I can. If I want to sit there and puff for a while, I can. And at the end, if the bag is 85% empty, 20% empty, or 100% empty, I know how much I've done. This is not really something that I can control using my other device (I'm not gonna count all of the small puff as that just is a distraction from the enjoyment of slowly puffing away).
As an oddity: My girl did mention that the second bag from the same product at the same temp had a much better flavor, which might seem to be a bit counter intuitive, as one would think most of the terpenes would be in the first bag? I think I agree, but, obviously, more testing is required.
To end the weekend, I decided to go to the other extreme and go "intense". I normally don't go above ~392°F, but decided what the heck, let's see how the other half lives, and went to 430°F. I did get very well medicated, although I found the vapor to be hard enough on my throat that I was limited in the size of the draw that I could engage in, and I still wound up coughing. Definitely not my neighborhood, but it was fun to see where other people live. Perhaps a water-tool would be in order, but I'm reluctant to loose the flavor.
So, all of this is just initial impressions. I don't feel I have enough experience yet to do an actual review. I'll need a few weeks of day-in-day-out use, to adequately review the unit. But, I haven't yet found anything on the unit I don't like. I expect, with the whips, that I just need to get accustomed to them and I'll go back to using them as the primary intake source. Perhaps I won't like the bags as much, but they are certainly much more handy than I had thought.

I would be wary of adding a WT directly to the magnetic bowl.
It will NOT happen on my Herbie as i do not want any medicated accidents to occur.
I will however hook up the dry VXL mouthpiece to the bowl but there is no water, so it is safe.
Hooking up a WT with a GonG attached to the whip is much safer IMO.
I always make sure there is a u-bend in the whip just in case any water does manage to get into the whip. At least it will stay in the u-bend and not enter Herbie.
I do this by having Herbie close to the edge of my table and the whip hangs off the table with a nice bend in the whip.
I have found that if i clean the oil from the whip and then use hot water and dishwashing soap to really clean the inside of the whip, kind of squeezing while it is full of hot water and soap, it comes out nice and clean again.
No residual taste or smell is left in the whip.
I do the same with the bowl and then blow it dry with air.
@mvapes I have also noticed that if i leave my ABV a light golden color it turns to dust, actually any color and it turns to dust after a few hits in Herbie.
Is it possible for a vape to overmedicate us?
Seems too easy to achieve with the Herbie, even after a month of SOLID testing.
