Mobius Glass

Diagnosed with level 11 G.A.S.
Bad timing lol ;), came on my IG yesterday; from the Mobius account.

"We have finally taken a new account!!! Check out smoke_atx.... Thank you Austin TX! #mobius#mobiusglass#smokeatx"
well, that is interesting... Wonder why. Must need a shop in that market or lost one... I know several shop have tried and tired. They also, like many, limit how many shops in an area and make that dependent on the market size. Mothership does this as many big blowers.

Spot me $50 to get in on it? It's a wise investment if glass collecting is your thing... But for a one-off, not so much.

Damn dude, really? $50?

Glass isn't cheap dude, in fact it is quite expensive. I honestly think it's worth $50 just to see what high end glass is being traded/sold out of pure curiousity. Not to mention you will easily save $50 off your first purchase alone.

I have a question regarding water level on my Mobius 65b with solid disk
I fill the it up to just below the top slits and after the first hit the water level gains all kinds of inconsistencies. Is there any way to fix this without upgrading to the slitted disk?

...upgrading to the slitted disk?

IMO, the slitted disc is by no means an updrade...
A massive downgrade is what I'd call it.
The slits let some of the vapor pass around the matrix percs, a very silly design choice IMO.

I'm pretty sure the slitted disc ones were earlier models, with the slits being there to allow the water to drain back down. Having the vapor bypass the stereo seems to have been an oversight with that design...

Why does the water level bother you?
After a hit you can tilt the tube around a bit if you absolutely have to have it all settle as low as possible, but the amount of water in the tube isn't changing, just where it rests.

For me, I'd consider it a minor aesthetic issue at the worst, definitely not something I'd go out and look for an inferior tube to correct.

Well after a rip the water level has bounced out of the DI joint and up into my nail..
And water spillage occurs quite often, do others have this problem or is just me?

I'm well aware that glass isn't cheap, I've got a short list that runs in the thousands for when I win the lottery... But it's not worth it to me right now. It starts making more sense when I consider purchasing more than one piece from there, but that's not something I'm going to do right now. Just relative to my situation.

Water going up out the joint doesn't sound good. Hard blowback... Maybe too much water?

i filled only halfway up the perc last night and it still pulled water into the bowl getting the last bit of weed left in it wet. I was pretty medicated but I assumed that it was due to my friends not leaving the piece on the table to hit it

Good idea! Also, tell your friends to leave it on the table! I need to remind a friend of mine "only touch it with your mouth!" Make them hit it with their hands behind their back. I almost cringe every time someone touches my Mobius. Maybe I should see someone about this.....

Thread needs more worked Mobius. Some lucky SOB picked this up during the $2 Cave sale. Heard you had to camp out over-night to get a decent spot in line.

They paid $2 for that? Also them putting it on bare flagstone like that is killing me.

BTW... anyone who has an Ion or similar bubbler... what case do you guys use to store and transport? All the ones I see are made for straight tube pieces.

I have a bunch of these inexpensive 'pistol' cases for my glass pieces. They'll often drop in price to about $11 with free shipping. They're not the most durable case by any means but they work well for storage and trips to a friends house. I can fit an ion and another piece and some adapters and such. I may switch it up and put in the ion and a fake cloud in the near future. Could probably fit more but I like to have a bit of space around the pieces. They come with the pick-pluck foam so you can customize them to your specs. One of these days I'll upgrade to a pelican or something, but for now its fine for a 'cheap' case.

My Ion Matrix sits in a Ryot AxePack when it needs to "travel". Room for a few accessories in there, also. :)

Not bomb-proof like using a pelican or nanuk, but good for "light" travelling.

What size do you use? I was concerned they were too narrow at the top (the "neck" of the case).

I like this option. Especially the price point and interior dimensions. My only concern would be smell. I need to keep this in the guest room closet and I dont want to have to decon anytime family stays over or what not. I know Pelican and Seahorse cases are air tight but this one is most definitely not. Can you comment on this?

It is the larger case...I believe it is 14" AxePack. No problem fitting in there with room for other goodies. :)

I still don't understand why is so complicated for everybody to get a Möbius Clear or Ion Matrix...
Just go the fanciest coolest LHS closest to you, and ask for a match price vs ALT or Kulture or wherever online you can get it...
Then commit half the $$$ in advance, many LHS don't even ask for it...
I'm sure they will have your Möbius ASAP...

If you did that here, youd just get a bewildered look and a "Whats a Mobius?"

I had to drive 3 hours to get mine.

I keep my glass and vapes separate and fairly clean so while they're stored, there isn't any noticeable odor. If you had a dirty piece you'd probably be able to smell it as it's just a latch that keeps it securely shut. You could put the ion in a large plastic bag and than stash it away but if you're concerned about smell, I'd go with a better case with a proper seal.

You can throw a lock on these but if someone smells the items inside and than sees a lock, it might be a tad more suspicious.
