Picked it up this morning (took less than 5 business days), waiting now for the first battery to charge up and reading the manual. Can't wait to give it a try but busy day today so I'll get back here with some first impressions in a day or 3. Oh and I only got ONE free (FC member bonus) screen but no biggie.

Mr. FV already read this post and is sending me 2 free screens and seems more concerned about it than I am. Truly impressive customer service :>)))

Hey.... and a question.... I noticed a light coating of oil on the inside of the cap which I wiped off with paper towel but still a bit of an oily taste on a dry draw. Is there a break in procedure like a few long (10 or 12 second firings to burn it off) ?

Lookin forward to the release of that Power Adapter and also the dabbing kit. Hopefully we are getting close to the release date?

Any reviews of the dab kit yet?

I've got an early model, serial #41. I thought I read that the threads have been switched from fine to coarse? Will I be able to use the PA without modification?

It is best to clean your FV with 99% ISO alcohol, it will get rid of that film of residue very easily, and with it the oily taste you are referring to. It is not recommended to do "dry" power cycles to try to burn off the residue in the cap, it is simply too far away from the heat source to have any effect.

... yes, we will have PA base attachments with the finer threads. However, they will not be the tripod style base attachment, but rather the same style as found on the portable version. PM me later and I will see what we can do for you to make it work. Thanks!

This is unlike any vaporizer I've ever used before.

We have nothing to fear except combustion itself.....

THE GOOD : This thing is a work of art. Does everything it's supposed to do. Not the thickest clouds but used as I am using it (push the button 4 - 6 seconds have a mini draw, and stack 3 or 4 of these mini draws into one long hit), it messes me up just fine every time. BTW, Just using the S1 model at this point. Also love that it really is ready to go in seconds, No warmup time.

THE BAD : Well these are MY bads actually. I keep forgetting to turn it off (with the main power button on the bottom) after use and I sometimes forget to shake it up between hits. Other than user error I have no complaints.

THE UGLY : In a week of use I've only managed to achieve combustion once so far. Again I blame myself, A) I think I over filled it (a bit above the 1/2 way mark) and, B) I'm pretty sure it was because of me (as I said) forgetting to shake it between hits.

CONCLUSION : This thing just keeps getting better everyday although I can see I'm going to need another pair of batteries soon.

Thanks FV for a great product :>)

Why do you turn it off with the bottom switch? I never do that.

Thanks for the straight forward review... im sure many folks will find it helpful!

The "... ready to go in seconds, no warmup time." you mentioned is what we'd like to refer to as ON DEMAND vaping, and that is the approach the flashvape will to continue to pioneer in the vaporizer industry.

Don't worry about forgetting to shake between hits, as it will come naturally to you after a little while, sort of like second nature when using the FV :)

...and with turning off the main on/off switch on the bottom, it is only really necessary as a safety precaution when travelling with the FV, as to prevent unintentional power-on of the unit from unintended pressure on the stainless steel power switch, say in a bag, or in the glove box of your car. When the unit is stationary, it is not really required.

ENJOY!

Can anyone direct me to a supply of the black shrink tubing that came with the FlashVape originally. I prefer it to the little silicone tubes for the mouthpiece but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
Thanx Much, RB.

It's .25" heat shrink tubing, usually used to insulate wires. You should have no trouble finding it at any decent hardware store in the electrical section.

So that's cool to not turn off the bottom button then, old habits die hard, (DaVinci main power button and user buttons). That really does add to the VAPE ON DEMAND feature (one less step, lol).

Please FlashVAPE, please? If you know what I mean, I don't ever want to use batteries again!
"sung to the tune of 'Please Mister Please' by Olivia Newton John.

I feel for you cluffy.... I need a couple of new batteries but don't want them to be redundant a week after I get them because the new PA has arrived. I assume it will have an S1 - S2 (switch) option ?

I wouldn't expect anything so simple from FlashVAPE. Because one of the things the PA will support is the dabbing plate, I am pretty sure it will have more settings than that, and most likely a continuously variable range.

I remember how much the PA improved my MFLB (since I mostly vapourize at my desk) and I'm really looking forward to this PA to provide a similar step up.

....so, without further ado, here we go!

introducing-rose-gold-fv.png

... the FV Rose Gold edition!

This sexy new FV should find favour with the ladies, or gents who prefer something special :)

get it here: http://www.flashvape.com/fv-vaporizers/flashvape-deluxe-kit-rose-gold-edition/
or through one of our authorized distributors soon :)

============================

FVPA

2nd announcement, which I know many of you have been looking forward to with great anticipation.... ... oh what do we have here: ?!

YES, ladies and gents, the FVPA is FINALLY HERE!!!

This "sexy beast" (as Tweek eloquently puts it) is the FlashVAPE Adjustable Plug-in Adapter system.

First, lets take a quick look and identify the different parts of the FVPA system:

FVPA parts id.jpg

The FVPA power supply is an integrated unit housed entirely in anodized aluminum for fast heat dissipation and continuous low temperature operation. It features built in "auto circuit protection" against overload and short circuit.

The system on/off switch is a chromed metal switch with a built in white LED indicator ring that dims and brightens with power adjustment levels.

The rotary power adjustment dial (machined from solid aluminum) found front and center on the control panel provides simple, linear adjustment of the FV's vaping temperature, by varying the supply of power to the FV. The range (1-10) of adjustment is compatible with regular FV S1 setups, and FV Stage-2 setups (with the S2 ceramic spacer installed for 100% convection vaping). The FVPA on MAX (10) is also the perfect match for the FV TI hotplate, which is a must for dabbing liquid concentrates.

FVPA Temp Chart.jpg

FVPA_black_front.jpg

From the high quality locking power cord connector receptacle, to the custom made and super flexible 100% silicon power cord itself, everything screams quality in the FVPA build. Even the dummy pass-through battery (not shown) has a solid copper core for the ultimate conductivity.

The FVPA takes the FV from a portable vaporizer, to a hybrid vaporization system, for the home and on the go, all with one awesome device. With our unique "on-demand" vaporization philosophy, there is no waiting and no wastage. And with the addition of the FVPA, now there is no more battery required so you can vape on and on and on.....

The input voltage of the FVPA is internally adjustable via switch, 100-120V~ or 200-240V~, so you can safely use the device anywhere in the world should you need to.

The FVPA comes with tri-pod base attachment in 3 different colors to match your FV: Black, Gun Metal, and Silver. We also have limited quantities of old style (thinner) thread pattern base attachments to support the earliest of FV models, in black and in silver. However, it should be noted that the thinner thread pattern FVPA base attachments are not of the new tri-pod design as shown, but is rather of the same design as the portable FV's main on/off switch base. If you should require a thinner thread pattern base attachment, please make a note of it with your order and it shall be so!

We are ready to take pre-orders for the VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES of FVPA systems that will be available for the 1st production run, and we want to be able to offer it to FC members first ! Thank you for all the love and support you've shown for the FV project over the past year! I am sure you will find the FVPA to be a superb addition to the FV lineup. The FVPA makes the FV a truly transformational vaporizer, bridging the gap between home vapes and portables. With the addition of the FVPA to the FV vaporizer, what you have is an effective, professional grade hybrid vaporization system that delivers "on-demand" vapor at home, or on the go!

FVPA INTRODUCTORY PRICE= $119.99 USD
with FREE SHIPPING in CANADA and the USA!

Estimated shipping date will start as early as Feb 14, 2014 (to be confirmed) as we take the FVPA through the final round of regulatory certifications. If you want to be one of the luck firsts to have a shiny new FVPA sitting on your desk in the next 2 weeks or so, check it out, and reserve one now!

...Cheers and enjoy!

FV
