Discontinued The Herbalizer

I placed my order for Herbie a few days ago, so keeping my fingers crossed that I get a shipping notice soon. I realize it could be as much as 30 days, but fingers crossed.

I am a bit of a n00b so please forgive me if this was covered, but I didn't see it. I currently use a PAX as my daily driver and its the only Vape I've ever owned. I've learned what I know from using the PAX and reading the PAX thread from start to finish.

So now trying to map my limited knowledge to Herbie...

Has anybody figured out a best style of grind for herbie? In the PAX I aim for as close to a fine powder as I can get. I think that convection vs. conduction needs two different styles of grind.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

I use a medium grind and think you will want to go much less fine in the Herbie. Do you have a SC Shredder? Remember, this is a convection device, so you do not need the heat to transfer through the entire packed load. A fine grind will work fine, but when using fine grind with the fan it tends to blow the material up into the top screen. Having said all that, any grind will work. I think the Herbie is as close to idiot-proof as you can get in a Vape.

BTW - Has anyone tried a full nug in the bowl?? If the size of the nug is right and you could force all the hot air *through* it, I bet it would go for days...

I just use my Storz and Bickel grinder, so a medium fluffy grind.
It is getting tired and worn though so it's replacement is on the way.

I have tried a whole nug in the bowl and it works very nicely!
I will break up the nug when the vapor gets whispy and there are always a few extra hits to be found.

On another note:
I used the Solo last night and then vaped the ABV from the Solo in the Herbie.
Taste was okay, not burnt or anything but not what i usually like.
Managed to get 3 huge clouds out of a spent Solo load at the highest temp on Herbie.
You can feel the CBD's working their magic!!
I do not get that stoned feeling it just seems to target pain, which is awesome and not sleepy as well!

What if we could load the Herbalizer's bowl, stick it in place, and have the LCD display the weight of the loaded material? Then we could easily and properly dose ourselves, taking Herbie one step further as a medical device. I have no idea what that would entail, but just a thought for v2

That would be really neat!
It would definitely be another pro in the Herbie corner proving it a high-end medical device.

That being said, it is pretty easy to tare the empty bowl, load herbs, then weigh it again.

So for those who want to weigh their loads, they can pick up a .01g scale for under $30
and for those who don't care, they won't have to pay even more than $750 for added features.

A brick of compressed pollen worked like a fucking charm. With my hands I broke it into a couple of chunks and she blew vapor forever. I slowed down the temperature increments and ascended by 5 degree's at a time instead of my usual 10 and I would say that took a while. (in a totally good way!)

Ok, Ok, Ok, dude.... right? I'm kinda later than you on this, but just today I was thinking... hmm time to slow down, how about an ounce of Blue Dream, and and ounce of Lemon Kush?

I am suddenly appreciating each strain more, and want to camp out. My collection of top shelf 8th's is suddenly thin and lackluster due to its problems with commitment. Herbie makes me wanna get classy.

I decided to try a flavor experience.
Since the vapor does so great once it is going, I turned the Herbalizer to 445.
No fan used....
I did one light hit of the meds.....
then immediately lowered the temperature to 377.
The next hits were wonderful.
I shook up the trichomes with that 1st light yet HOT hit, and then they vaped long and well and flavorfully through to the end.

LOL I wish you were right. But at this point you could not pay me back what I payed for it, and have me give you the Herbalizer. You actually couldn't pay me twice as much. Thanks for making me once again, not regret for one second the price. I really mean that, thank you.

Direct into the bowl brother!

I like to collect and compress the pollen into a brick as well.
I then place herb in the bowl, shave a few bits of compressed hash off and crumble on top of ground herb.
Place Herbie on full, attach a WT and turn the fan on!

Flavor and vapor city!!!

Well then...

Decided to try to stay <=329°F for the eve. Science. Measured out 0.08g of Great White. No pack, just toss in. Attach the whip and quickly find the herbie game where one generates red lines on the screen upon draw. Try to get high-score and give up when I understand it is "three". Wait a little while, and although I'm not going above 329°F, I could at least play with the brand new bags... Put one on, and thrill at the unravelling/unrolling of the bag (I don't get out much). But what the heck: the bag is full of room air... try to see what I can inhale in relation to the size of the bag. Just for fun.

[To be clear: This was *NOT* "clouds". I do not chase these thing, so I expect that any FC'er that reads my posts, knows this. But they also will know that when I say "vapor", I will not do so unless I mean it. I mention the lighting in the room, as that is a specific factor of visibility. (No.... I am not in a place where it is cold enough to see one's breath. I know the difference. Plus... I tested for that...) This was vapor, but thin... Which one might expect at this temp... if not for the fact I thought I spent the full 0.08g of flower, playing that "game".]

Nope. I still get just a little flavor, and this time I pull out my little 500 lumen light. Yup. It's there. The vapor is there. Thinner now (and I'm not sure how usable what is left is, but that's not the point), but still something visible... I'm actually still pulling stuff off of that initial load.

I am amaze.




SIDENOTE: I bought a few @JyARz (That BoGo sale was cool! Thanks!) , not only for fresh, but also different colour for diff levels of temp ABV has been exposed to.

I will be using this with the Herbie...

What temperatures/how many bags do you guys use? Do you put each temperature in a separate bag?

I used the bags, and enjoy them ... but I am a whip user personally.
I vaporized about 20 hits at 380 just now.
Nausea is abated, and there is a twinkle in my eye, in spite of it being 10 minutes to 6 a.m.
I love when I can have a leisurely Herbalizer session.
By the nature of Herbalizer's speed, I have remained focused on this aspect.. fast sessions.
An Herbalizer session done slowly is a very good way to start your day!

If any of you Herbie owners usually vape through water, what are you doing now? Are you still using water or are you happy without it?

I know what you mean, I never gave it much thought at first because of the whip/bag concept, but apparently it's easy to hook up direct to water and glass so now I have to re-think the EVO purchase I was just about to pull the trigger on. And read this thread from the start!

I still vape through water with the Herbie!
For the Pinnacle WT I slip a bit of silicone into the WT joint and the mouthpiece fits in there snugly.
For my HT I have a GonG adapter that is 18mm and the Herbie whip slides onto the other male end of the GonG!
The GonG will also be used when my ioffer bubbler arrives!

I can milk the HT with Herbie which is awesome!!
Loving the turbine in there!!
