My technique is to hold the button for around 20 seconds or so with the mouthpiece off. When I see a small cloud forming in the chamber I drop in some concentrate and she's ready to go.
Yup i use the same method now, stumbled upon it by accident after cleaning my EO a couple weeks ago:doh: Cant believe it took so long. Any way i heat it up until the steel is hot. Drop a good size ball down and it melts right in. Then place another one and pulse for a few seconds a couple times to melt that in. Flavor is amazing now...

As for batteries orbtronic has two new ultra high drain batteries ones 22 amp and 2000mah and the other is 30 amp and 2100 mah. Would these be any better?

Used my cera loose leaf today for the first time in a while, i have not had much of a need for portablity recently. However i did discover a great thing about it, it is now my day vape, so i can be stoned off a small amount of bud and not be totally useless and blitzed, one bowl gives a great buzz. Then later i can fire up the ssv for the night vape sesh.

Great Scott!
Might want to ask a battery guru if the new sony 30 amp v.4 will work well, and if it it will make a difference.
Effest claims a 35 amps battery , but I think Id stick with japanese battery Tech.

I saw that sony 30 amp and was wondering if that is better. Its funny the grey ones sound better on paper, and I have 4 of those, but I greatly prefer my 1 black orbtronic.

I'll probably buy a couple more of those if the sony one isn't a better buy.

The 2100mAh Sony is the way to go with the Cera, particularly when using the LL core. It is by far the best suited, with the lowest internal resistance, reasonable capacity, and safe chemistry. As I mentioned much earlier in this thread, it will heat your core up faster, and heat itself up MUCH less, compared to any other 18650 currently on the market.

Search Google for US18650VTC4 (and note that there is an earlier US18650VTC3 version, with less capacity, so make sure you are looking at the one that ends in VTC4.

Much appreciated!

I just ordered 2. Looks like they have no nipple, but I can't tell. Hope that works well lol.

@Haywood

Do you think the new sony will keep the body cool enough that I can ditch the silicone sleeve, or not so much? I'm sure I can wait and find out, just curious how big of a difference I'd really expect. I've got 2 on the way to me now from amazon.

Wow it looks nice. It looks like they redesigned the EO core? I could be wrong, maybe they created screws that fit in the core and have new multipoint pattern? Is this to make it easier for disassembly to clean? Because that would be awesome. Not a big fan of the carbon fiber look, I wonder if they're going to have any variations.

A few pics of Luna & pre-order on Thermovape's page. Hopefully they'll have info on the adapters and switches before too long.

Thanks for the heads up guys , looks slick, loving the side button.
Can go up to 7.4 volts, with silver contacts like the best ecigs in the industry (poldiac).
I do think they will offer different sleeves, so you can have carbon fiber and maybe SS and titanium sleeves.

I thought the price point was going to be less than the cera, not more.
Thats funny you say that, thats what I thought too!!!
I hope they sell the body alone, for existing customers that might already have multiple carts!!!!

If you choose kit its more, and if you choose just vaporizer it drops it 50 bucks!!!

Hmm looks interesting, i think the cera looks nicer, much more discreet, and it looks like a more expensive product than the luna so interesting price point there, but the side button will be good for some people with weaker hands.

I would not hold my breath. Hopefully the adapters will happen first (I think they're easiest to do and don't impact Luna release really) rather than after as scheduled. For sure any switch change for Cera is going to happen after the release, a while out.

I think it will happen in a timely manner, just not timely enough for some/most?

There's a list..... OK, in order, no, you're looking at the new EL core. As they said, Cera EO core is used as originally built. I don't know what a "new multipoint pattern" is, it's definitely not a scheme to make taking EO cores apart for cleaning. They don't want people doing that!!! While there I brought this point up and they repeated their stand that 'it's theirs, they can do what they want'. I agreed, of course, but put out my concern that the silence on their end was getting guys to tinker on their own and encourage others to do so.....which concerned them. They intend to 'revisit' the "send it in for a ground up rebuild for $15 idea. I believe I explained all this? Their current policy is if the resistance is right and it's otherwise within spec (but perhaps dirty/fouled) to return it intact. Nate understood, I believe, that cleaning was the whole idea and that some guys were running heroic quantities or marginal quality through their Ceras and wanted performance to continue. Hopefully that (revised?) policy will be out soon.

Yes, as I said the fancy tube is just that, a tube. 7/8 ID, 1 inch OD, it slips over the metal tube and is intended to be customized......or left off? If I understood right a Titanium tube is planned, amongst others. But the plan is to make it very simple for owners to swap out.

Can go up to 7.4 volts, with silver contacts like the best ecigs in the industry (poldiac).

Yeah, the SV thing is all the rage with the hardcore e-cig guys? It 'lights up fast'.

That's my understanding of the tube idea as well (did you hear the same Ti idea?). One thing I can say about the prototype I handled, don't grab the bottom part by the tube part 'right side up' without being ready to catch the metal tube when it bolts for freedom......

I thought the price point was going to be less than the cera, not more.

Yup, that's the plan I think. How much less remains to be seen. This new one has a lot less fiddly hand labor than Cera, and while there are more parts, they tend to be cheaper to produce and more of them are 'standard, easy to buy' stuff. The price of making one or two (as before) or 25 (as the pilot run is) is going to be higher than larger runs to come.

It's even possible, I think, to offer a 'build your own Luna' kit (although I didn't bring it up with Nate the other day....he has a lot on his plate right now...). It could be a very fun little product for those with reasonable mechanical ability looking to save some money as well? I see nothing in the design preventing this. A "Heathkit of Vapes" if you will.? Full points to anyone who knows what that might be without Google or Wikipedia. Extra credit to anyone who's built one.

Thanks OF, Great info as always.
Nope didnt hear anything other than to check the social media sites and the TET website, but my intuition on the sleeve said that titanium might be an option.

If they could do a build it yourself, or even the bare body possibly with out the cart kinda option would be great. If not, oh well looks like I might be getting a full set up.:drool::drool::drool:[/quote]

EDIT: @OF
The silver contacts are loved in the mechanical mods/ecigs for little to no voltage drop, sounds like "LUNA" is going to perform better than the cera ,perhaps ?

I fail to see how a cera is complex, you press the button, wait and inhale slowly. I doubt you will see LL because the design does not seem compatible with the top cap filter that you need to do LL.

Hmm. Lost interest in the Cera, too complicated for my tastes...
...but the Luna sure does look good! Is it just EL only? No LL option? See, i'd buy that thing for LL no doubt!
I think what OF has is stated that the LL is still more of a cera option , it will work with the luna but the metal body of the luna and the LL session runtimes might make it hotter than the cera body.

EDIT
Also a switch like the luna might be offered for the OG cera body!!!

I don't see why one couldn't use the LL cart from the Cera, and the Cera's UFO mouthpiece, in conjunction with the new Luna body...

Try it for yourself: take your uninstalled LL cart (not inserted into the Cera body) and put the UFO mouthpiece on it...it goes on exactly as it would if the cart was installed in the Cera. The Luna is no different, aside from a lower profile body. No reason this won't work, as far as fit goes.

Edit* You figured it out before I finished typing lol!

Sorry im retarded the top cap would fit fine

Not retarded...but possibly vaked?

yup, if I am correct from what i've gathered, the luna and cera carts are all compatible but the heat generated from the LL might transfer much quicker to the metal body of the luna.
In this case there still pushing the LL for the Cera ceramic body.

@OF could an adapter be used here to run Luna at the 3.7v configuration and then use an LR Evolution cart?

Luna battery: 3.7v 18650, 7.4v 2x 3.7v 18350
