I must say the unit exceeds my expectations...I am glad I went with the silver, as I am sure all the other colors would look great. The first time you pick it up you feel the weight, but after several times it feels just normal.

All right then. Here's a rule for you to ponder:
  • Stay on topic. Please avoid derailing or side-tracking discussions.
Friendly exchanges are encouraged in the right place, and there's nothing wrong with them in this thread if they accompany information about the Firefly. If they don't—and lately they haven't—they should not be posted in a thread that most people seek for information about the Firefly. If you think that's something to be tolerated, then perhaps you should find a forum where they don't mind. Here we prefer to provide a friendly re-direction to the correct forum.

Here's another one:
  • Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.
You might want to re-read the rules and see which others you might have missed or forgotten.

Another shot void everything else...seems like forum members have a hard time keeping focused on the topic of discussion !!!!

I beg to differ, we just look at the whole picture. :D

Speaking from a strict photographic opinion, i liked the photos and they compliment the FF.

Hope you didn't interpret the wrong way, as someone said not long ago, it is difficult to convey meaning and intention using writing alone. ;)

Well it would be my opinion that since it is a convection vape, the herb needs to be pre heated so that the vapor can be released.
So since temp is maintained by holding the ignition button there's going to be a period were the herb will have to be heated thru out before it will start releasing herb.
Hold it the power for 5 to 10 seconds then release and press again and start a steady slow to medium draw and hold till your draw is finished. After doing this once I would imagine the np herb would be heated enough to go straight to a other draw with out pre heating the bowl again.
I haven used the FF yet mine on route but this would make sense to me.
Good luck everyone, I can't wait to be a FF on the wall lol

Cheers, medical mark
I Absolutely agree with you that pre-heating the load for several seconds helps with the initial draw, or after a cool down., what i have noticed, and I know that it sounds impossible, is that you can let the button up midway through your draw and keep drawing with the power off. I swear It seems to "catch" in a way that keeps the vapor flowing... not every time, but more and more often. This machine becomes very second nature. By that I mean, I have gotten some of the largest most satisfying hits when I was paying the least amount of attention to my technique... Is this crazy?

Do you think I don't recognize sarcasm when I see it? You commented sarcastically on a moderator action, and I gave you a break and simply pointed you to the rules. Your response is to step up the sarcasm. You leave me no choice now.

@fbrinsley There's no need to blow this out of proportion. This is one of the most friendly communities I've had the pleasure to be a part of. At the same time it is a vaporizer discussion forum and we take that part seriously. In vaporizer model threads such as this one we strive to maintain a high signal to noise ratio. Even so we get complaints from new members that model threads are too long and too chatty. That's we actively try to keep threads on topic.

Commenting on @dolphinman 's unique photos is fine, but please remember the topic of this thread. As you can see it doesn't take much to derail, and future members don't need to read through this. Thanks. :)

Hey forum goers...sorry for any issues my pics may have caused. I did not want to be famous for the wrong reasons :-)

I was simply trying to show a different view point on the design of the Firefly, namely industrial design beauty contrasted against something not so industrial yet still beautiful..if it makes sense.

Anyways I have a spare battery question. Has anyone experimented with how long a fully charged battery will last in a bag or something before it loses it's charge?

Do these batteries have a life expectancy of like 400 full charges before they become useless.

Thx

Dont remember who posted this but someone mentioned having to hold the 2 pieces of the firefly together to get a good seal on it in order to vape...check the surface and see if it is smooth..i had some particles on mine and it was causing seal issues. Quick cleaning solved the issue. That may be the issue you are having.

Got it; I understand. Sorry, folks, we'll stay on topic.

@fbrinsley

All is good here, my friend. Pakalolo's intentions are to keep structure on this site and it makes perfect sense. He was not trying to be rude. Take care of yourself.

I have found that I am getting better results with a fine mesh screen in place of the ultrafine that the FF comes with...unless my technique is improving lol. My only concern is particulates getting through so I certainly couldn't recommend it until I test it for awhile. I'll keep you posted, folks.
