Just me, but I think you would be a lot happier if you GonG that set up. Get you an 18mm GonG PVHES and just go right on top of the rig,balances very nice and BOY does it it reduce resistance ,which the Solo has quite a bit of it. Go to Planet Vape, they carry the GonG for the Solo. I think yu may be pleasantly surprised if you dont care for the resistance the Solo has, the after mkt. stems for the Solo provide better flow all around imo but YMMV heres the link for the GonGs http://www.planetvape.ca/pvhegong-high-efficiency-gong.html

there are a few ,I have the units with the 4hole glass screen,works great,before that I was getting by with o-rings on the straight stock provided stem, not bad but the resistance was a PITA:leaf:

That 90° angle is adding more drag than anything. In airflow every bend reduces efficiency. A 90° bend will reduce it as much as 50%. I agree, get a GonG or even a 14mm reducer and the stock straight solo stem will have less drag than your current setup.

PV is probably still the only place in the world that carries those gong stems for the solo. There might be some others now that someone will chime in with.

I actually ordered trough PV also from Europe and was really pleased with the fast shipping(six days!)...still from germany it would probably have taken a few days less...

edit: euhm let's try and get back on track here...any new cheap pieces popping up? If the ali express people are on holidays, maybe after the holidays they will have new stock?

And Kathy Hu seems to have disappeared, or at least her stock has...

well there was this message about them being gone for holidays and orders shipping later. But now, if I look up their store on ali express it says there are no products...so I do not think you should worry, just would be a pitty if they disappear because they seem to have a lot of happy customers here.

The D020 I ordered is from sunshineglassart on ioffer. I went back to find a way to complete payment. There isin't any:shrug:. When I went through the process, it had me put in my email and physical addresses and then stated seller will contact you via email for payment info, but no email has been sent. As stated before, this is my first time with ioffer, does this sound normal?

==> OK, well, I went and looked at sellers feedback for several months. All transactions had been cancelled by either the buyer or sellers. Guess they are out of business but still have their listings up. So I cancelled my order.
Sooooo .....what is the most current place to buy this bubbler from?

It may not be that they are out of business. China goes on a one month holiday around this time every year. EVERY YEAR!! Not sure of the exact dates this year, but have run into the problem before myself. The official New Year's holiday is 1/31, but I don't know how that works out for the month off.

@Snidely & Tweak... your slits look a little more open on D020 than either I received. Not sure how that translates to function, but they look like they may be easier to clean. Little bits that pull through on mine can be a bitch to get out if they get caught in the rough parts of the cuts. Not a real big issue, I can usually blast it out with just the water pressure from the kitchen sink tap - but easier if I look to see which way to blast first. This doesn't give me any second thoughts on my purchase at all, though. Love the bubbler!!! And, at the price I got it (2 for about $48 shipped!!), it can't be beat. And still an easier clean than some of my other glass.

EDIT: Got mine from DHGate, too. No issues - and surprisingly fast ship considering holidays here in states and horrid weather this winter.

but they could be the same owners as the Ioffer sunshine person. I ordered about 9 days back and just got it. thanks everyone for the intro and the reviews of this D020 "mini tank", i really like it. and not just because (almost) everyone seems to like it but it's great looking for the price, very nice perc and whitewalls easily. easily for me, the bargain of the year! :clap:

like what flotntoke said, ChineseNewYear is a big event in most of asia, at least those with chinese population. starts around the 30th this year but preparations for going back to hometown, family gathering, social visits etc etc is already starting. So business really slows down around this time.

Ok, I know this is the cheap glass thread, but one more question about DHGate. When I submitted my payment via Amex, DHGate stated payment of $28.01 received, but my txt alert I get from Amex whenever I buy something online shows payment of $170!!! I went back and checked, but I only ordered one at the $28 price. Has this happens to anybody else? Do they take a big chunk out and then refund the difference like some gas stations? Just need to know in case I need to dispute, thank you.

I was only charged the $28. I would be concerned.

This was not what happened on my purchase at all. You should definitely look into it!!

Just to note it.... I did have two separate charges from DHGate for my order. One was about $48 and the other was $0.38. No idea why, but the total was right where it should have been for 2 D020's.
