Cannabis Nut Butter

**I have not tried this recipe yet, but plan to this week.

**split mixture into FOUR to make 4-0.25gram doses (this will be MY dose, not necessarily YOUR dose ;) )

Things needed:

1 oven-friendly dish (I use a bread pan) (not glass)
Peanut Butter
1 Piece of tin foil

Ingredients:

1 gram finely ground high grade cannabis
1/4 cup peanut butter.

Instructions:

1) Pre-heat oven to 325.

2) Mix in weed and peanut butter together right in the pan
(about a 1 gram weed to 1/4 cup peanut butter ratio works well for me,
you can put more or less peanut butter just make sure its completely
slathered). Make sure to mix thoroughly!

3) Place tin foil over the pan and insert into the oven for 30 minutes.
Time may be adjusted based on size. Just leave it in there until it appears
kind of dry and dark brown around the edges.

4) Remove from oven, you should have a soupy mixture that will be perfect
for spreading. Let it cool for 3-4 minutes and then eat however you wish. You
can even just eat your dose by the spoonful.

Infused peanut butter has the benefit over cannabutter,
in that you can easily dose with it using no cooking or recipes!
(Spoonful of strong cannabutter is pretty gross)

If I were doing this I might add some dark chocolate chips to the PB while it's cooling down :mmmm:

Definitely let us know how it turns out~

I scraped the cashew butter off the aluminum foil, and put it into a small glass container. I nuked that for 30 seconds and stirred it up really good. Then I covered that with aluminum foil, and it's in the fridge, hardening up.

I'm still trying to figure out the dosing, though. It won't be very accurate if I just eat a teaspoonful. I thought about portioning it out onto pieces of wax paper, trying to keep each portion the same size.

I need to figure out something soon because I can dose at 8pm.

As you can see, the cashew butter got really dark. I just dosed a tablespoon, so we will see what that does. I'm still pondering how to dose the rest.

Ok, reporting back...

It's 10pm. My body pain is a lot better, and I'm starting to yawn, which is unusual for me. It's not strong, but that may change. I may not know if I fall asleep. I need to do a dose again tomorrow on an empty stomach. I think I will be able to judge better after that. I may increase the dose too, but not sure. I need to find a way to portion this out on pieces of wax paper, making them all as consistant as possible. I want to be able to get as many doses as I can, but still have effective dosage.

Just a heads up, use natural peanut butter. Or cashew butter, the more oil the better.

Works far better then the stuff most people have in the cabinet. I use Adams brand always for medicated peanut butter. Just a tip

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...

Cashew butter yes. Natural vs any other peanut butter no. Fat content is what matters. Whether it is "natural" or not does not. The more fat content the better/faster the thc absorption.

It is also better to wait a day or so before using to insure maximum absorption of thc into the medium if you have the time.

Have you tried Lecithin granules with this recipe? Great thread btw!

No, I haven't. This is my first batch, using the cashew butter, trying this method. I'm just trying to find the quickest and easiest ways to make my edibles, that also uses the least amount of herb at one time. :)

Ok, hubby just brought me a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich from Wawa. I had to eat a small piece of the bacon, couldn't resist. Hopefully that won't mess things up. I don't plan to eat the sandwich for another half hour, though.

If anything the bacon improved the edibles digestion process =)

The more I eat this stuff, the more I love it. It really hits hard, and helps my pain a lot! I think I like this particular edible more than anything I've made so far, for lots of reasons. Like the ones I have already mentioned, of course, plus it's super easy to make, and only takes a small amount of finely ground cannabis. Very few ingredients and utensils involved.

The finished product can be used on almost anything, or eaten by the spoonful. It doesn't completely reek up the house because it's covered while baking. The recipe can be doubled, which I am seriously considering, only because I love it so much and don't want to constantly be making it.

This recipe is a real winner. :leaf:

Thank you @deadheadbill for turnin me onto this! I owe you one!

Here are the butters I have available to me right now. As you can see, the "natural" and more expensive brands do not have the highest fat content. Jif Natural peanut butter (16 grams), Jif almond butter (16 grams), Jif cashew butter (18 grams) and Artisana 100% organic cashew butter (15 grams). The Artisana has the LEAST fat of them all.

The Jif cashew butter has 18 grams of fat, though. Way more than any of the others. I'm hesitant to even use the Artisana in this recipe because it's only 15 grams of fat. Is palm oil bad for a recipe like this?

Yum! :mmmm: I want to try this with some cookie butter that I found at Trader Joes when picking up some coconut oil. It tastes like graham crackers and cinnamon and has lots of fat!

Edit- actually rechecked and it has more sugar not more fat so the pb will be necessary but maybe add a bit of cookie butter too!
