JyARz Storage Containers

The tightvac's and their negative pressure dried the heck out of my herb. Grinding and putting into Jyarz has been the best and most convenient way I have found yet to store herb. I am rethinking whether to keep using Cvaults in the future. All of the smell gets sucked out and I wonder if it is the moisture pack absorbing it. Next time I get some new herb from my grower I will split between glass and Cvault.

@John Lewus , when you do that, you will probably decide to switch it all to glass, if your experience is anything like mine.

An oxy-sorb packet in the smallest jar your weed will fit into (I use half-pint jelly jars, mostly), the canning lid/ring, and after a short time it will naturally "vacuum seal" itself as the oxygen is being absorbed, or you can use a vac hose to seal it immediately. Amazing freshness for months!

These things are sweet!! Stu passed along one of his BOGO JyARz to me, and I really like it.. I never felt the need for them before, but now I can see myself w/ a few more.. Right now I have 3 different strains fighting over one JyARs..

That is sorta how I ended up with mine. I never needed one in my mind but won three and promptly got ten more on a bogo. I can't wait till the big ones come out.

Tight vacs don't work and are a pita cause of static worse then glass.

Am I the only one who can still smell the rubber from the end seals, two months later? And this jarz has seen some smelly medicine...

Good tip. I don't want to waste my oxygen absorbers until it is longer term storage. I am just not sure if the humidipaks are worth it.

Have you left the plastic sleeve open and without the glass liner in it? The smell went away for me after a few hours of this and never came back. I do this to all my Jyarz before I put anything in them. I also iso the glass beforehand, but not because there is anything wrong with the product. Im just "that guy".

I like my jyarz the longer I have them. I left it open for a few days and the smell went away. My house smells much less like weed since using these. I can't go back to what i used before. Great product!

Agreed. Picked up about 3 grams more than I could store in my available Jyarz yesterday. Figured id grind the rest and throw it into the black plastic "push down and twist" pill style containers I had laying around. Threw the ground bud in there then ziploc'd it in a bag. That then went into a backpack in my closet.

Opened my closet today and it REEKED like dank herb (bought a very potent OG18 strain)

Ive since powered through what was in a nearly empty Jyar and xfered the ground herb. No more smell.

I like to think of this as the newly manufactured smell, and the fact that it still is there two months later tells me this product might just work. (Especially since when I got it I didn't smell it until I opened it)

I sadly got mine before the BOGO and contest but they ended up initially sending me the wrong color. I emailed them, didn't get a response and when I was going to email them literally two days later the proper colored JyAR came with a note.

I gifted the extra one for Christmas and have been loving mine. Dumped most of my CoolJarz, those are better as containers for abv.

Today is a good day! :D

I love these things. The nitrile rubber is nice change from the original natural rubber in my opinion. This company continues to impress me as well, continually looking for ways to improve the product even if it means a little less profit - a refreshing change in the age of lowest bidder corner cutting.

I agree with Aldo's approach of making a quality product and letting the happy customers spread the word. A limited marketing budget consisting of holding genuinely great BOGO sales and giveaways is something I appreciate as well. I wish more companies would put some of their marketing budget back into the product itself. @JyARz

@JyARz

Since you have set out to make a "green" product, would it be possible to ship orders with paper-only packing materials? I think that would be a nice touch. And we all know how durable JyARz jars are.

Whenever I mail anything, I use only paper when I can. And I save ALL my packing material from other shipments and re-use them.

Just sayin'.

No problems guys, happy to help espically guys that contribute as much as @lwien and @Quetzalcoatl

Plus like I said I've had a shitty week so this helps make it a bit better

More good news Q, they upgraded your shipping to get there today. Just checked tracking and it's on the truck for today's delivery:D

Edit#2- so I just shipped out jyarz #5 to another fc member. At least found 5 of us that have never tried one! Sorry but with giving one to a coworker I'm all tapped out of jyarz. Had to keep 2 for myself

Good idea, however, (IMO) no need if the end user puts in a little effort.

IDK if @JyARz already uses this stuff, but if they do then it could be a completely sustainable loop. At least on an individual end user basis anyway?

Bonus is that those packing peanuts really do do an amazing job of protecting the product while limiting shipping weight and packaging costs.

...A savings, I am sure, which is undoubtedly passed on to us as customers.

Any idea if there will be a deal when the larger jyarz are released?
Maybe a buy two get one free or something?
