That looks damm cool. Kind of like a mini EQ.

This also looks to have a decent valve system for the bags, very interesting.

it's a bit bigger than a EQ!
the valve system is a bit more complicated than the simple connector system of the EQ, it has lots of screw caps and shit.
i have the feeling that it releases the substance more constanty than the EQ, though.
no temperature fluctuations (like the vapir one)!
full review up on my blog, soon

yes 400F max and the fan is always on
the multi-user adapter is really nice though!

Just picked one of these up. Have only tried it once, but the ABV appeared to be cooked very unevenly. Some dark brown (darker than I've ever seen with a vape) and some still green. Anyone have any ideas on why this is? I assume it's something to do with the herb chamber, maybe the plunger wasn't all the way down? Really hope this isn't just how this thing works...

Am I the only other person here who bought this vape? Got it last week and have been loving it every day. The multi user mode is the best, I love having friends over to use it. It's a great conversation piece. The bags are very convenient too. It's my first ever desktop vape, I've only owned the Magic Fight Launch Box and switching to a desktop vape feels like a great upgrade.

Medical Jane uses it. She does reviews using herbs off of it too so you could get a kick out of her.

I'm really interested in this vape! There's a consistency and quality to bag vapor that's very compelling, but the ease of use a versatility of whip vapor is really nice in it's own right. I've been looking into some of these hybrid vapes like the Vapir Rise and the Arizer EQ and really considering pulling the trigger on one. Can anyone with experience an this unit compare it to tho Arizer EQ or the bag mode to the Volcano?

Best advice i can give you if you are only considering the Vapir or the Arizer, go with the Arizer. The extreme q is a good starter vape, has been around for a while, and is well reviewed here. IMO, direct draw vapes have better quality tasty vapor. :science:

Thanks for the reply! I was kind of looking more for a direct comparison, but I wasn't very specific!

The points about the Vapir Rise that interest me most are:
  • Ability to use oils and concentrates. Can anyone comment on how well this works?
  • Multi-person adapter. Many of my sessions are shared.
  • Bag system with shut-off valve. Not as cool as the Volcano Easy Valve, but the EQ has no provision for this at all.
  • Precise temperature control/readout with target and actual temperature.
The one thing I'm concerned with or have mixed feelings about is that the fan is always on, though I suppose it's no biggie to cover the mouthpiece with a thumb as when sharing a hookah.

I did find this comparison from Vaporizers.ca that was pretty helpful: http://vaporizers.ca/blogs/news/10114497-extreme-q-vs-vapirrise-vaporizer

I'm curious, @Kaptan, what made you decide to retire your EQ and what are you using now instead? Thanks!

nishidake,
I have this vape and love it. I use it mostly with the bag system. As I can fill a bag and close the valve and let it chill out as I play a game or something and only take hits as I need. Its great. I feel the extraction is quite good as I get quite a bit of vapor on a small load.

Wow.
That is all I can say is WOW....
What an underrated thread, and vaporizer.
Vapir went under budget on advertising on this one.

I have not used the Oil cup yet.
I have used this puppy with a whip and a bag, and I am dazzled with the performance, by this quiet contender.
I had specs for this units once, and was sent a sneak peak video, but I lost track... until now.

There have been some misconceptions about the Vapir Rise, and I would like to set the record straight
The chamber is ample. Larger than most desk model vapes, and so it can hold a good amount of meds.
The multiple user piece from the pictures, appear upon 1st view to like the cylinder of a revolver, so folks may think it holds separate loads of herb. The cylinder-looking device, is simply a diverter with very functional little switches to cut off air flow, so that friends can share at the same time

The fan, while on all of the time, is not bad.
It is VERY quiet when on lowest setting.
There are ten settings for the fan, and the lowest barely moves vapor at all.
I used it on this low setting, and my "pull" easily moved faster that the fan, and when I stopped to exhale, the minimal escaping vapor from the whip was truly more negligable than with some other units.

Those who think that the Rise is similar to the previous vapir products are wrong.
This is not the plastic shell we are accustomed to.

If you leave the unit on, but not running, and hook the bag up, it will sense it and come on for you...
the bag can fill at 6 speeds.

I really have had a wonderful time using this unit to medicate today!
Very versatile and extremely solid, and well made.
Video coming ....

I'll add another positive comment for this unit. This is my first vaporizer, purchased in February. It's been easy to use, quick to heat, and hassle free. We primarily use it to inflate bags, really only used the whips once.

I can't compare it to other vaporizers, but my wife and I are very pleased with it. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

People around here are just starting to notice this unit.
Very impressive for the price, and I see places having great sales.
The folks at Vapir gave me a code for medical patients to use, for an added savings.
If you consider yourself a medical user, and wish to save on items from Vapir, you can message me for info.

Not sure how many of you own one of these bad boys, but I do and I am more than happy with it. Saw some stuff on here about quality and warranty, and wanted to weigh in:

In terms of design, it's beautiful. If you've ever used or owned a Volcano, you know that it's shaped to fit it's name. Unfortunately, that makes it a bit bulkier than one (me, at least) might like. With the VapirRise, I was pleasantly surprised at the size. Much smaller than you'd imagine from photographs.

The touchscreen is wonderful--just gives it a sense of effortlessness.

Was a bit unhappy with the first bag of vapor, but soon realized that I had the heat too low. You got to try out different temps for different herbs to find the sweet spot, but when you do:  MONEY.

Having the 4 whips option is clutch. Nothing quite like having homies over, and not waiting for the bag to make the rounds.

As for the fan: yes, it's continuous. But that's to keep the herb chamber cool. If you have a Volcano (at least to the best of my memory,) you need to remove the herb chamber between bag fills so the nugs don't burn. With the continuous fan, you don't need to really worry about that. People have complained, but I think they're just basing it off of expectations. Because when you're using it, the last thing on your mind is the fan.

It doesn't do concentrates--but maybe they'll raise the temp capacity in the future. In any case, I'm not doing dabs frequently enough for that to be a deal breaker.

The warranty is a year long, but they try and help you out even after (also own Vapir's NO2, so I've been dealing with them for a minute now.)

tl;dr-- Love my VapirRise. Perfect when I'm just trying to relax and watch some shit, or when I've got people over. Fan keeps the herb chamber cool, pumps the vapor (makes for minimal effort when using the whips thankfully,) and is easily ignored. Vapor is tasty and smooth. And its well designed. Great investment.

Hello @antjackson305, Do you ever feel like you have to rush through a session so as to not waste some of the vapor with the whip ?

I think that's the one thing that turned me off with the Rise as I would mainly use the whip by my lonesome self and don't know if I could deal with watching vapor escape into the air like that and relax through a session. Is there a way around having it flowing all the time like blocking off the mouthpiece or something with out damaging the Rise with back pressure or anything ?

Thanks and Welcome to Fuckcombustion !

I am sure @antjackson305 will chime in soon with response.
Personally, on lower speeds the fan wastes almost nothing.
It forces less than half the vapor on low than a Vivape does.
I would not recommend blocking off the vapor....... that is generally not good for units.... causing stickiness all around the basket areas.... the vapor loss on lowest of the ten fan settings is negligible.

Hey Rude Boy,

Like Vitolo said, blocking the hose's flow might cause problems. So to be safe rather than sorry, I would recommend removing the chamber (w/ everything still attached--hoses/bags, adapter, etc.) and just sitting it to the side. That way the vape will continue heating without using any of the herbs. Just a simple twist and lift and you're good.

Whats negligible for some may be a very big deal for someone else. I know for me, it drives me nuts to see ANY vapor escaping from my vape and not entering my lungs.

What's also interesting though is you don't like to vape through water because you've said that you notice some oils being trapped in the water and rather than them being in the water, you want them in your lungs, but yet for me, I haven't noticed those trapped oils, and therefor, they are negligible and would not stop me from vaping through water.

I guess it's that old adage.............YMMV, eh?

For me, I would never own a vape that leaked ANY vapor, be it from the vaporizer itself, from the whip, or from the bag. Just one of my pet peeves, I guess.

It is more than a loss of oils in the water that turn me off.
I feel less medicated with water... no matter how much I consume.
I am certain in my heart that there is some constituent missing.
The feeling is mellower when I use water... whatever it is in the vapor that adds a bit of an electric edge is missing.
