I would stay away from ginko cause it is know to react badly with common meds like aspirin.. and substances brightening the blood vessels.
Also since u r taking pain meds you should stay alway from herbs that have MAOI effects like passion flower and st johns worth if they ever come in your way :).

I take, daily, Paracetamol and Tramadol.
A pain management nurse once asked me if I 'smoked' and followed that up by saying it would be better pain relief than I would ever get on a prescription.

Aside from the financial limitations, I don't really want to go there tbh..

But these ethnobotanicals have me fascinated..

**edit to add** the other one I've found some snippets of info about but nothing much is Ashwagandha, any more on that would rock too..

You cant vape kratom, but Kratom is without a doubt the best legal ethnobotanical i have ever tried. Period.
U can vape kratom ,although vaporizing the leaves is not as effective as the 15:1 powder extract or the 30 x tar . There are even disposabble cigarettes e-kratomite using kratom tincture . Also u can check products like phoenix black it makes an awesome additive to herbs :)

My favorite strain is Red Vein Bali- very relaxing and sedating, perfect for my anxiety/insomnia. Next time I order a bag of capsules from my vendor I'll have to make an extraction and try this out. Not with my mflb, though. I mean, vaping might work but I know many individuals that have tried smoking kratom (Both leaf and extracts) and gotten no effects at all. Now I HAVE to give this a shot..

"L. virosa was used in the 19th century by physicians when opium could not be obtained. It was studied extensively by the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain in 1911. They discovered two chemicals responsible for the properties of L. virosa; lactucopicrin and lactucin. In the United States, the plant experienced a resurgence in popularity in the 1970s. Today the plant is un-scheduled by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), meaning it is legal to grow, purchase and own without prescription or license.

Because it is a latex, Lactucarium physically resembles opium, in that it is excreted as a white fluid and can be reduced to a thick smokable solid.

"Lettuce Opium" was used by the Ancient Egyptians, and was introduced as a drug in the United States as early as 1799[3] The drug was prescribed and studied extensively in Poland during the nineteenth century, and was viewed as an alternative to opium, weaker but lacking side-effects, and in some cases preferable."

Wild Lettuce grows .....errmm...wild, all over the place. Nice of the FDA to permit its cultivation!
We tincture it up with wild grindelia and mullein for cough medicine.

You can actually harvest the latex in the same way as you would from poppies. Not that you'd bother.

I remember my friend getting burned on some "hash" about 35 years ago, that turned out to be lettuce opium. All the head shops sold it for a while....

So does hops actually taste nice vaped and is the effect noticeable? I've smoked it before which was horrible. We grow loads of it at work so will give it ago in the summer.
'And wow at that herbal remedy nonsense to treat 'physical addiction' to cannabis.

The Hawaiian baby wood rose seeds are great and I like mild salvia extractions

I personally think that the premise of this herbal remedy chart is full of BS and attempts to capitalize on MJ misinformation - e.g., Milk Thistle for cleansing and strengthening the liver when recovering from long-term cannabis use: 1). "long-term" doesn't necessarily mean heavy dosages; 2). does long-term MJ use weaken the liver and toxify it? 3). the over-riding premise is that long-term MJ use gives rise to ailments that these herbs can help remedy; 4). MJ is once again scape-goated. 5). PROOF?
Now, this is not to say that these herbs can't be helpful for achieving some of the listed benefits (maybe), but making Mary Jane the villain I feel is just a marketing angle, IMO.

I agree @Snappo, and imo charts like these are based in fact, but it fails to distinguish how it's the process of combustion that generates most of the accumulated toxins we need to detox our liver from.
So it's our job to need to educate the masses about less toxic forms of ingestion,
like vaporization and edibles :)

the evidence behind most herbal remedies is shaky at best, many do contain chemicals that may help certain illnesses, but many damage the liver them selves if over used [which happens a lot because people think all natural is safe]. Prescribing a whole bunch of herbs that simulate the effects of cannabis that may well be [almost certainly are] more damaging than cannabis it self is incredibly low. It is clear that the company has no care for anyone's health, like most of those places.

Note: I would be careful with passion flower, sufficient amounts of it left in a closed room will release a cyanide like chemical into the air. Not sure if vaporizing that is a good idea.

I would certainly vote in favor of anybody taking milk thistle.
Our livers need all the help they can get these days!

I agree, though I tend to think that taking most herbs in fluid form the more beneficial medium to address organ and brain support. In contradiction to my own theory, we know MJ renders many body & mind benefits through inhalation, as well as through various means of ingestion. As an aside, I don't know if there's any real truth to Rick Simpson's oil cancer cure claims, but ingestion seems to be the only way it works.

So will boiling a pot of spinach, green beans, and hundreds of other commonly consumed foods. Should people avoid those too?

I have to disagree with you guys. Cannabis affects the liver, kidney and brain mostly.

With vaporizing and combustion there is an added damage to the lungs.

All those herbs do indeed help, they have been used for other things and these guys adapted them to what they coined "cannabis addiction".

I agree the terms they use are ambiguous and prone to many interpretations but there are long term abusers and there are people who need to detox from the cannabinoids in their system and their effect on the body organs.

Now, despite that, it is clear they have a marketing angle in their affirmations and they recommend smoking the herbs as a substitution which is stupid. It is also clear that they have no real knowledge of the quantities needed and how best ot use them.

I'd look for essential oils of these plants and if i did not find them i'd try and make tea out of them. Many others things can be used. Beet root is a great blood cleanser so its great for kidney and lungs for example.
Aromatic plants like peppermint, or cilantro also have beneficial properties.

Snappo, you don't know if there is any real truth about RSO? Really? Why?!
