Does vaporising save YOU medicine?

Honestly I could get just as high smoking the same amount but the extra effort of trying to slowly burn a bowl, not waste any, and get hard enough hits to make me cough but not hard enough to gag..

The high is wasted trying to recover from introducing smoke to your lungs.. I dont wanna be wore out before Im even stoned!

I slipped back to combustion a couple weeks ago and i was using like 2 gs a day. With my solo, pvhe gong and bubbler im using like 0.5 gs. With my solo dry i was using like 0.7-1 g. So yes i save a lot of weed/money.

I seem to go through nearly the same amount as if im blazing, about 7 grams every 4 days or so, i find that at least for me its very easy to sit there and chain vape all day because its so enjoyable, also often i cant get great herb because australia is shit like that, and without good herb i find a vape to be quite inefficent and need to be repacked quite a lot more often than if i had good weed, where often one ssv bowl will last a few hours and i will only need two or three repacks to go a whole day of being stoned, with shit weed im packing the vape almost hourly.

yall are lucky to have such great weed.

On my first try to switch from combustion to vaporizing with the Plenty my usage was higher.. experimenting on the one side, a huge bowl and still also smoking it on the other.

Now with my Ascent it's actually the same for now..

Guess another part of the problem for me is my habit that I need a hit every half an hour to an hour at night, and ripping a bong with a tobacco medicine mix is just very effective for this and I still do it for now.. One reason is when I'm gaming there's very little time between rounds and the Ascent takes too much time here, so I guess I need another one.. thought the E-Nano might be good for that, also to reduce material consumption, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't done any math, but considering I only pick up once every other week, I'm probably using 1/2 of what I used to smoke, at least. Vaping saves me so much money, I can't even tell you. Not to mention making edibles with what you have left is always a major plus.

I'm starting to experiment with taking long inhales and holding in for around 15 sec, and it seems to help medicate faster aswell as conserve medicine. However, there is a thin line between feeling medicated from better absorbtion from holding in for extended periods.......... or just from lack of Oxygen.

Honestly the best method I have come across found is the one described in this video,
, in which the user goes through short cycles of breathing out small fractions of thc before re-inhaling air, slowly titrating vapor out of the lungs in exchange for oxygen. People often hold smoke in because they think it allows more thc to diffuse into the bloodstream. To a degree, they're right but what they don't consider is that the rate of absorption is hardly a constant, because the lungs' walls aren't just one big single membrane that continuously allows air to leech in the blood. That task in preformed by the millions of alveoli that line the walls of the lungs. When you breathe in, these alveolar sacs stretch out like a balloon pulling oxygen into its hollow cavity, allowing air to diffuse into the bloodstream. Then when you exhale, the sacs then expel carbon dioxide by collapsing, ready to be inflated again when the next batch of O2 comes through. The thing is that when a user holds his breath, these sacs stay inflated/bloated the entire time, unable to collapse and re-inflate in order to suck more air into itself, so the only way new thc molecules are getting into the bloodstream is if they happen to bounce into the sac's cavity (which still happens but at a slower rate than when the alveolar sacs are purposely "sucking in" air during diaphragm contraction). By taking short cycles of exhaling and inhaling, you accomplish three things. First, you allow new air to refill the empty space left behind by the exhaled vapor, allowing new O2 to leach into the bloodstream alongside thc. Second, by exhaling you allow the alveoli sacs to expel carbon dioxide from the body, which is their second most important function in concerns to your circulatory health. Thirdly, it causes the alveoli sacs to deflate, allowing their hollow cavities to re-expand upon inhaling thus forcefully sucking in more oxygen and thc molecules. Its also a little known fact that the protective fluid lining an alveolar sac temporary decreases in surface tension immediately following inhalation, possibly allowing easier diffusion between the gases in the lungs (such as O2 and thc) and the bloodstream.

Excellent informative post! Thank you!!! Personally, I find that holding in a hit for just a few seconds gets me where I want to be just fine. Absorption into the system also takes place during the inhale as well as after. It's enough for me. :2c::peace::)

Vaping saves so much chronic its not even funny, you also get a second bang for your buck if you bake edibles

For some reason, my friends (who solely combust and never want to vape) think that using gravity bongs saves them more weed than my vape when in reality combustion causes such a great loss in cannabinoids.
Funny you say this,I just gave a friend my old glass gravity bong cauz he thought that way.
I'm just glad to have some more of my old combustion stuff gone

Yup. Been doing this for a long time. Works great.

Hmm.. I like the idea of getting more from your money when vaping, but I hope I don't end up vaping more just because it's that much more enjoyable. I'm on .5 gram/day diet.

well unfortunately my location plays a role in the medicine n the costs n even amounts sometimes --

but I was pretty shocked -- after moving to a more expensive form of vaping …moving away from dry flowers even…. I thought I would be spending soooo much more over time ----

Well instead I find I save a considerable amount of money ------ using the concentrates and always vaping -- zero combustion has almost cut cost in half !!!!!!! Helped my health even more :)

well ….. just maybe I spend tooooo much now on tools and equipment !!! but well worth it ! :) but probably brings expenses equal :) lol

but I luv it :)

Man, I wonder what I am doing wrong then. You all pretty much agree it's more economical. I find my consumption has increased and I fucked combustion well over a year ago. Honestly I think my tolerance has gone through the roof or something.
