I didn't mean it has to be the same at 12 on both models or anything, just the same performance, wherever it may be on the dial and I'll be happy.

I'm being pretty positive because I think I'll be a happy camper too. You guys have always taken good care of my. I just don't like crowdfunding and probably wouldn't do anything like that again, but I love the deal it got me on an evo and I love you guys as a company.

Every single time I use the EVO, I not only like it more and more, but it keeps getting better and better relative to the OG ticker. Especially taste-wise and consistency-wise.

This I wholeheartedly agree with. I don't know what kInd of witchcraft is going on inside the EVO but there is a noticeable improvement in hit quality over the Plus. I can't really put into words what it is but the hits feel more "complete".

Sorry about that @StonedMMA - we had a couple other folks with the same issue but after inserting and re-inserting the plug, they were able to get it to work. If that doesn't work, as much as I hate to say it, just send it back and we will get it running like Vitor on TRT. Most likely a connection came loose but hard to diagnose over a forum.

I got my Evo yesterday and can also compare to the Cloud + ...using the same herb and weight, my experience has gone to a new level. Great job VXL!

Well, I received my Evo yesterday! I am very pleased with the look and weight of the unit. Unfortunately, I find the unit too cold to use. Let me clarify: the unit heats fine and gets VERY hot, but it does not produce satisfactory vapor until around 3:00 on the dial. I found my sweet spot on the new Evo to be at max, and even then I could only produce an even medium brown ABV, which is fine for me as that's as far as I want it to go, but I don't think I should have to run the unit at max to get thick vapor. For comparison, max on this unit feels around 1:30 on my Cloud, yet the Evo gets as high as +50 degrees hotter on the outer shell than the Cloud. So I'm going to have to send mine in.

I've opened a ticket and am waiting for a response. Has anyone else had similar issues? I've had a Cloud for a little bit now and I like to think I know how to use it. I won't even use my Cloud until it's been heating up for at least 15-20 minutes. I find performance is increased on a fully heated unit and pretty much know when it's ready to use just based on how hot the unit is. I used the Evo the same way. I tried just pre-heating to 3 and turning down to 12 once I got the green light. Way too cold. Blue vapor. I tried heating to 3 and just letting the unit sit for a while. Decent vapor, not thick enough to fully milk my tube. Similar to around 11-11:30 on my Cloud. Then I tried it at max. I let it pre-heat and hit it right when it turned green. Nice vapor. Milked the tube. Very even medium brown ABV. Couldn't take it to dark chocolate or coffee ground ABV if I wanted to. I've tried max with the unit running for about a half hour. Not much difference in ABV color. Slightly better clouds maybe.

That's been my experience so far. I like the look and feel of the unit. I love the removable cord. The weight is unreal. Once the temp issue gets worked out I think I am really going to enjoy this unit. I'm going to send it in within the next few business days. Hopefully my recalibrated unit will rock my world.

...on my cloud I rarely set the dial above 12 noon....I never got dark brown abv at that setting....I was totally blasted though...1st couple of hits on cloud were always underwhelming...after that is when the magic happened on mine...

Does the evo work upside down as well as the original cloud? I need to get some glass for mine and probably wasnt going to go with a hydrotube.

I too agree. I have used it on my entire glass collection and it kicks ass on all of it (but i do have two new pieces en route, including my 1st recycler).

OK, so I turned it on and did the old set it to 3, then after it turns green, noon routine. I waited about 10 minutes I think. At noon I wasn't getting much. A big draw gave me that flavor I haven't had since the ticker. It was awesome but no visible vapor. If I pulled real hard I could get some, so I turned it to about 2:00 and walked away for a few minutes.

At 2 I was getting some nice cloudyness. I nudged it up a little bit more and this was nearly perfect, like my old Cloud. I used to hit my old Cloud at noon almost all the time, so I think this one runs cooler. I also was milking this new Mobius can, which is huge. I also resorted to my old "carberate the hole" trick which immediately clouded the shit out of the Reti, as you can see.

I think with more practice I'll be able to milk the Mobius even better, but I'm way too medicated to try it again right now!

In fact, just to comment on the pain relief topic- although I use my vaping to control pain, it's never really "noticeable". I mean it's like I maintain a level of pain relief/highness but I'm usually not that high anymore and I still get pain.

Yesterday I had a massage and then did a ton of physical work. This morning I had back pain, shoulder pain and even a new knee pain. After my session with the EVO, I could NOTICE my knee pain was gone and I generally feel much better now, even more so than after the dab I did this morning. Not only that, it was with some C99, which isn't even a good pain med! It's all about the extraction, man.

As for the unit itself, it's so much lighter- which is great! I like the subtle logo (of course) and the feel of the casing. Cord seems stiff, but that's probably a good thing. The bamboo is much narrower on the bottom than the old ones, hence the whistle.

I am looking forward to running this through all my various glass and will post my findings here. It's so awesome to have one again and as long as the reliability is there, this is a home run. Great job VXL and as always, it was a long hard wait, but worth it.

Are the wristbands not included anymore? They were the kinda tacky but totally acceptable solution to holding it by the top (where I always used to hold it since I use it inverted) which now gets too hot to hold comfortably.

I guess I can stop at spencers to get some "flare" just to be able to hold the thing correctly. Honestly if everything else works good its fine, but I'd have bought some in advance if I knew we weren't getting them anymore. After 2 friends got them I assumed I would as well. Very strange.

Yeah. I've been over this issue before. Its easily fixed with wristbands, that i thought were free. Sure it looks less classy than the evo "nude" but I'm not the type to make a big deal out of that. My vapes are functional, not for display purposes.

But the real reason it sucks for me is that I don't have a hydratube. I have a pinicle water tube I got for like $50 that is a mini hydratube basically. Just use my 14 to 18mm adapter and I'll try that on the evo today.

But 99% of the time I enjoyed my OG ticker it was upside down on a bubbler. The problem is the spot where you hold it for the most stability now gets too hot to hold.

I'm gunna have to buy me some cheap ass wristbands and ugly this cloud up if it makes it more useful.
