I just shared the experience, I am not an employee of Christian Dior. If I were the seller I would not think of selling cosmetics for $ 40 on this forum is a good idea for business

Not the sort of shill you'd expect to find in a vaporizer forum usually :suspicious:

on the page 422 too many "shills" too

We're here to fuck shit up.
I'm very confused. Is this a suggestion to purchase a $50 beauty product to simply attain the small bag that the product is stored in?

Can the small bag, or something like it, be purchased separately?

Please be careful when you apply the term "shill" to another member. We don't take shilling lightly here and we consider it to be a serious accusation. Please don't use it as a generic term to apply to anyone who recommends a product.

While this is an unusual recommendation, I don't think it is shilling in the sense that we condemn.

Hi everybody!
I've been using my Pax for a while and now I think I can make a fair review.

Pros
  • Good for beginners and combusters. I am the only vaporist in my group of friends/acquaintances. Usually they like my vapes, but not very much. But all of them like the Pax, or the iporro (iblunt) as they call it.
I believe it is because the highest temp setting is so hot and smokey that it nearly feels like combusting. Also, it is very easy to use, no instructions needed. And party mode drives them crazy
  • Very stealthy. Smelly while in use but really pocket friendly and no chance of the mouthpiece snapping. (Pax+jyarz, perfect combo in my pocket)
  • You can sandwich hash between herbs in the oven and the pax will take care of them...it does not spill nor leaves everything (too) dirty...

Cons
  • The button for setting the temperature is under the MP. You have to remove it in order to change the temp. Not very easy, specially on the go.
IMO, it is huge design flaw, specially in a product with such an advanced design.
  • Taste is quite bad. Only the firsts hits are tasteworthy
  • Cleaning. After reading the thread, I thought it would be worse, but certainly you have to clean it on a regular basis. I have found myself not able to draw because of a little resin ball that completely blocked the vapor path.
  • I'd like a middle point between the middle and the high temp settings.
  • Not much battery, I usually can't end the fourth session.
  • You can't buy it outside of US/Canada. I had to disturb a friend so he would buy it for me and send it to my country. I couldn't even pay it and have it delivered to his home, as they require an US/Canada card...
Conclusion
  • For beginners/combusters: I recommend it over my other vapes
  • For regular vapers: great as a OTG vape, but also very confortable to use at home...tastes bad and it is not on the cheap side, but it is still worth to consider, IMO.

Hi jvapman,
sorry but I have never used a MFLB...But I am sure taste is not worse than with the pax.
Compared to the Solo or Volcano...well, taste is lost in the pax, IMO,...i am not saying it is disgusting, but it is a different and inferior league...It is my worst tasting vape, also worse than the WISPR.

Do you know that special weed flavor you notice when vaping vs. combusting? Don't expect it with the pax...

Overavped, nice review. Can you comment on similarities/differences compared to your Pinnacle?

I find the Pax is probably the only vape (maybe besides the MFLB) i would take out biking, hiking, etc without risk of me damaging it. Most flower vap units don't seem as durable.

I find the temp button very easy to access and actually press it with the metal piece on the mouthpiece. Unless your changing temps more than a few times per session i don't see it being an issue at all for most people.

Let me first say that I own the original PN, not the Pro.

Pax beats PN in
  • Mouthpiece doesn't come out easily. Makes it very confortable to use, any position...
  • Non vaporist love it, while they dislike the PN (YMMV)

PN beats the Pax in
  • easier to refill on the go
  • more standard PA; I bought a connector so I could use the same PA I use with my phone
  • better flavour: in fact, first shots of the PN, while it is still heating are my favorite, better than volcano's, I'd say. After a short time, however, it becomes quite harsh.
  • mainteinance

BUT the big difference is
  • they produce very different vapor. Pax is quite hot and smokey, PN is wispy, but effective (I'm sure this has changed with PNP). That is why, IMO, my friends dislike PN and love PAX

Talking about durability...
I was charging my PN in the street, fell over the pavement and broke. Not a bit hit, but enough for the PN's plastic. The bottom part of the plastic cover is now separated form the rest of the body, but the unit still works.

I kinda laugh at the talk of flavor being subpar/inferior. I'm not ribbing anyone, but only us vaporists would complain about the varying tastes of vaporizers. Remember when we were smoking and some strains tasted amazing?

@jvapman isn't it? Lots of people with smarts and experience sharing it with each other. Hard to find communities like this in general, never mind for such a niche product...

If nothing else my Pax has been an amazing way to introduce smokers to the idea of vaping. Sitting at a desktop just isn't an option for some people, neither is lite draw techniques. Often the main concern is its not hot enough, they can't feel the vapor hit the way the smoke burns through them. So once they experience the flavor I crank it up and pass it around as if it was just another blunt. Most cases its a familiar enough device if I explain that its an electric cigar. 410 setting packed tight producing thick clouds doesn't take long to win them over.

...

I do remember, but can not explain myself what I called flavour when smoking...now, every strain would taste like ass when combusted for me...
But, I certainly can not explain myself how could I combust several joints a day neither...and mixed with tobacco, horrible :myday:

It's so good the combustion days are gone!!!

I've had my pax for a little over a month now and since I've had it I've burned once. Wow what a difference vaping over burning i def prefer vaping by far.
- I never smell like weed!
- The places I've baked there is no way I could've burned (ie any public or private bathroom anywhere, late night in the aisle of a supermarket etc...
- it's so much more delicious!
- so easy to travel with
- find that I'm needing to replenish my herb supply less frequently.
These are just the best things I've found in my time vaping and this is coming from one who has over 30yrs of burning experience!

Enjoy

I think my most favorite experience about the Pax was waking up about a week after I had it and my smoker's cough and phlegm that would come up as a result were both gone.

Do you vape on low? Because medium or high is definitely noticeable on smell.

I don't know if this has been covered, but I've found a super easy way to clean and maintain the Pax. I've used it everyday and haven't had to clean it in 3 months. You just put a drop or two of some propylene glycol in with the herb when you smoke it. That's it. It will give you a big plume of smoke and keeps the machine clean and well lubricated. My friend's Pax was almost unusable it was so dirty. After about three bowls with the PG it didn't stick anymore and it just got better with use. Neither of us ever has a problem with it sticking; the light now always shows green or purple and never gets stuck showing the temp; and best of all, it is super easy to draw through again. I just bought the unflavored no-nicotine e-cig base, but any flavor will work. Menthol is pretty good too. You can pick this up at any smoke shop. Major upgrade for the Pax.

I find that on medium a fully packed oven as well finely ground herb produces the strongest pulls and thickest clouds.
Im looking to reduce load size. Going to pick up some glass screens to add as filler. Bought this strictly on impulse. Wish i wouldn't have. Its a great vape for doing what it suppose to, but that bowl is waaay too big for what i need. I need quick nausea and pain relief, not to get so high i cant do my homework.
